      I am guilty of doing that and let people bring it up and use it against me. It hard to move on when people keep bringing bs from the past and mistakes. People disrespect my physical and mental health issues an discrimination I get over those explaining why I feel worthless and hate and distrust others. I swear this is giving me anger issues. Can’t work out to release it neither.

      Yeah but at what point after this person did you wrong is it okay to finally let it go? 1 hour? 1 day? 1 month? 1 year? We are allowed to feel the pain that comes with betrayal or anything else someone does to hurt us. But how long are we allowed to feel this pain for? And depending on the degree on which this person hurt you, (especially in extreme cases like abuse, assault, etc), does it become okay to feel these thoughts. Especially when that hurt has caused you extreme mental battles like depression, anxiety, ptsd, trauma, etc? How can you just throw all hate in your heart out for a person that has caused you a lifetime of suffering? Especially depending on the importance of the role this person played in your life.

      Let go of friends. People are extremely emotional. Had a friend who had a toxic girlfriend. Ever since she left, he became enraged and started becoming toxic himself. He threw all that toxicity on me and then abandoned me and would in 2 week intervals, call me for things that he needed whether it be money or a place to sleep or food.
      I stopped talking to him completely. Turned out he had a new group of friends, dude's spending too much time looking for a replacement girlfriend.
      I was emotional and depressed and he would come over and tell me stories about how he met this girl who he thinks is the one. Every few weeks there's a new girl. He never asked me how I was, just where I was. I stopped talking to him and it made him more bitter. Called me stupid, fat, and a bad friend.
      I gave up on him and just let go. Started finding self happiness. Positive? I'm happier.
      Negative? I'm home a lot. I feel like a homebody.

After that, I think we are allowed to heal and forgive ourselves. But we can't just do SOMEONE bad one day and move on the very next day. Self forgiveness doesn't happen overnight and it takes time. I called up my ex today, it went really well. We both don’t want a relationship atm (I need to find myself for a bit) but I told her that I want to start building a connection with her again & she agreed. I also told her that at the end of all of this I want to begin to build back up to a new relationship and she again agreed, she said we gotta take slow steps but she does want to end up with me down the line🤙🏼 no matter what hardships happen during your life time just know that you can learn from those experiences and grow into a newer & better person. Stay active and stay motivated, I love you all. Have a great day and Thankyou for reading this far

    I love the journaling suggestion. I started getting back into it, but I’ve never thought to throw the negative entries away. I think I keep them to reflect on later when I’m further down along my own personal growth and see how far I’ve come. I’ve mostly been venting about work 😂

    • @yashmjj
      @yashmjj 3 года назад +4

      Similar situation here, what I've learned is that our brains are moldable like plastic, we've condition our brain to repeat an action whether it's a good or a bad one, when you're trying to move on from the past your brain is bound to repeat the action you fed it for a long time
      In order to break this cycle you have to replace bad habits / thoughts with positive ones and reject the negativity, it may take time but your brain will adapt to it for a betterment of your life

    • @AbdulNawab
      @AbdulNawab 3 года назад +1

      I feel like I can relate to this. I get obsessive about it as well. One thing that is sort of helping me is recognizing that the way YOU feel is a choice. Say it out loud to yourself if you need to and put yourself in a position where you can understand where the emotions are coming come, and fix it. Takes a damn long time but you can do it

    I'm really loving your channel and ways of portraying insights. This one is applicable to me in a large hurdle i've been trying to overcome, as my last girlfriend essentially used and threw me out, while lying and exhibiting narcissistic behaviors of enjoying the turmoil and suffering she was inflicting. She ultimately left me for someone she met on tinder, but didn't seem to work out for her. Fast forward a month after break up and we both work at a farmers market so I have to see her every week, right out the gate she was always vying for my attention, she managed to move her booth closer to mine every week, until she was right next to me, and this was opening the wound I was trying to let go of and heal, which resulted in not living to my potential and hitting vices hardest to the point of almost flat lining my business from apathy of incentives to care anymore.
    I ignored her for the most part, but she would go all out next to me, leaning on the booth like a damsel sighing, bringing up subjects about things we used to do together, going to every girl that gives me attention to talk to and assert her dominance, as well as public displays anytime I gave her some attention, so I cut her off. But learning to forgive her has been my greatest asset as it allows me to let go completely and see her as the damaged broad who is in a situation of many bad choices, that I ultimately was dumb enough to allow into my life even after witnessing many red flags, because I was holding out for the power couple concept that never had a chance. Even though I still encourage her to continue advancing her business, because she is ultimately doing community building food awareness work, something I believe in, I do it when I decide, not on her time, and if she disrespects me when I give her an inch of validation, she gets told off in detail and put in the dark again until I decide.
    It's annoying to deal with such a uncivil person that I have emotional history with, but that's life, I'm stronger for it, and it's ultimately what women want in a man, someone to keep them in line while leading and bolstering up those around them.

    I know this is an older video of yours but I just wanted to comment because this is the first video I’ve seen that doesn’t say you need to get over or release all your pain but it acknowledges that some kinds of pain do in fact stay with you for a long time and that it’s ok if it does. And just accepting that it will can give you the peace you need to move on really struck a cord with me and has helped me see things in a different perspective so thank you so much!
