The voice acting in the movie is phenomenal! I couldn't help but tear up the minute Mebh started crying for her mother. The voices paired with the expressions are just amazing
When I saw this scene for the first time, I think I just about had a heart attack when that arrow came in out of nowhere. You are very right, the animation and voice acting is excellent, Five Star. I personally believe the moment that follows is just as poignant though. The revelation that this Wyld magic is very much real has completely shattered Bill Goodfellowe's world. His daughter, screaming in despair in his arms, fights with all her strength to go to her friend, to aid her in this time of greatest need. When he begs her to remain, not understanding, she reveals a truth that embodies a parent's worst nightmare: she is like them. She is one of those that he has been tasked to destroy, she is his enemy as much as they are. Terrified of losing the only family he has left, he pleads with her to stay with him, and at first she seems to relent. But mere moments later she goes limp in his grasp...and a shining golden light surges forth. And as a white wolf forms from the ether, Bill realizes, finally, that she is telling the truth. Having shed her human flesh, Robyn can only gaze mournfully at her father before fleeing into the dark, leaving Bill Goodfellowe holding naught but an empty shell. (Sorry if this seems depressing, I just REALLY love the storytelling)
It's such an underrated moment when the wolf pack goes to snap at Bill. They could easily kill him, but they don't- they're threatening him. Because he has Robyn, and the wolves understand her as one of their own now. The wolves are trying to PROTECT her, the same as her father, both unaware of how each side Isn't Helping.
I love how Robyn wasn't able to stop Bill from shooting Moll. I know it may sound weird, but I love how they made Bill succumb to his instincts. In other cliched movies, Bill would've stopped before doing the deed, but here, he doesn't and it makes sense, because he genuinely didn't know any better.

I wouldn’t call it instincts so much as it was a gut reaction to seeing his daughter surrounded by wolves from far away. Instinct is something you do without thinking - he was fully aware of what he was doing, and he was thinking of how to handle the situation and targeted the biggest wolf there. He didn’t know what was about to happen to her, b/c he assumed the wolves were going to harm her. He wasn’t close enough to see their intimate words or interactions. All he could see was wild monsters, and his daughter’s potential death. If he was close enough to hear them, he may have thought or behaved differently.
I liked this part. Not because Mebh's mum got shot, but because it's realistic. What would a wolf hunter do if they saw a massive wolf near their child, other than shoot?
also how sudden it was. beat to beat. during such a happy moment, how could something go wrong? it feels so realistic, the sudden horror and realization
When I first watched this, this scene caught me off guard and I thought "NOOOO!!" And the genuine fear in Mebh and Robyn's voices says it all. I really thought she was dead.
She was dead, and if Mebh didn’t have healing powers then she would’ve actually died , yes. But she did die, she just was revived. She was dying slowly, but she did pass away/her heart stopped beating
I know, I was totally expecting him to sacrifice himself to save Robyn (which, to a degree, he does. I just wasn't expecting him to survive his sacrifice), and die like he always does. Was very pleased that he didn't.
Robyn’s dad reminds me of a conversation I once overheard at a Denny’s. A daughter was coming out to her dad and he was asking her to tell him if she was sure. She said yes and he was very worried because of how many stories and articles he’d read about bullying and prosecution and he didn’t want any of that to happen to her. I agree. In this scene, where he tells Robyn to run, couldn't he tell she wasn't in danger? Robyn was literally talking to them, and when she was riding on Mebh's mother, she didn't attack her.
idk their entire village think the wolves are bloodthirsty creatures and Robyn is a rebelious child. I don’t even hate what he did. Given the information he had, he made the right general choices-all he was trying to do was keep his daughter safe and himself there with her. He’s actually a really good father; he just can’t afford to let Robyn be a child, because, from his point of view, it’s too dangerous. His job is to make sure she’s safe, and everything she ever tries to persuade him to let her do would be, by all accounts, some of the most dangerous stuff she could possibly do at the time. I watched this movie for the first time at 11:00 at night just me and my cats and idk if it was just too late at night or what but I’m pretty sure I cried. There was also the fact that my mom’s a nurse who works in a medical clinic and COULDN’T hug me for almost the entire 2020 lockdown since she could’ve been exposed, so when I watched this in December 2020 it had been almost a year since we had an actual hug and I think that def didn’t help when I watched this LOL. And I don’t usually cry because of movies!
I was watching this with one friend last year, the anxiety from this point of the movie onwards, was horrible Cartoon Saloon created a masterpiece in every aspect, just some movies make me feel nervous of the characters
This is the first clip I’ve seen of this film and I’m already crying. This scene alone is so powerful to me as someone who had lost my mother. It touched my heart and brought me to tears within a minute.
It always strikes me when I watch this scene that Robyn, despite being in a huge fight with and very angry at her father, still feels safe enough in his arms to fall asleep instantly. I thought that was a nice touch. (Btw, this is the best scene in the movie.)
It shouldn't. It takes quite the comfort to be able to sleep in an armored soldier's arm. That's very uncomfortable, even with the arms somewhat exposed.
the real superpower in this movie is that robyn can go to sleep that easily. like she lays her head down and instantly falls asleep. fuck being a wolf i want THAT superpower
I clearly need to brush up on Celtic Mythology about these "Wolfwalkers" because even without context, it's good, just confusing. Also, I don't have Apple TV+
This was foreshadowed earlier in the film, and its still a genuine shock every time I watch (5 times already). I feel bad that we didn't get more Moll scenes. The ones she is in are well made.
What exactly was the Dads plan here? Does he think he can just kill off her friends and take her back home after she made it clear she hates the town? He really should’ve thought this through
Damn, that one part of this scene where Robyn spills to beans really hits hard, coz I seen it before, on release over 2 years ago, and I have been wanting to see it again for days, I never knew this much nostalgia would crawl over me
I can imagine this situation in my head: Me and a ton of government are on a beach digging a massive hole looking for sandstone which is the very same stuff The pyramids are made out of in order to build a monolith For some unknown reason are main driving idea Is that "it's a monolith? Why wouldn't you want to build it?" And we were basically digging the hole with our bare hands and pushing the raw sandstone onto the sleigh. Looking thing and we had her mom in wool form. Hooked up to it as basically as a labor animal to push the sandstone to the carving area. So it can be carved into blocks where it can then behold to the middle of the pit that we're digging in to build the monoliths, which is basically a giant rectangle, made out of sandstone cubes.
This is my crossover fanfiction of this scene (Mebh mom gets shot) Mebh: AAAHH Robyn: NO (The sad stuff with mebh robyn and her father is interupte3 by a loud crack) Robyn: what was that (A big purple explosion erupts from the ground) (metallic breathing) (They all look in shock as they see the demon a green humanoid rabbit with purple glowing eyes)
My version: (Mebh is about to attack Kilkenny, but then Luna and Luan step in, Mebh growls, but they firmly refuse to step aside) Luna: Mebh, this isn't what Moll wants. Luan: Mebh, you are better than this, you're no killer. (Mebh sighs) Mebh: Youse are right

I was watching this with one friend last year, the anxiety from this point of the movie onwards, was horrible
Cartoon Saloon created a masterpiece in every aspect, just some movies make me feel nervous of the characters
(Btw, this is the best scene in the movie.)
that and she got barely any sleep the previous night
@@kellogglaeverbaum9989 don’t ruin this for me please it’s all I have
It shouldn't. It takes quite the comfort to be able to sleep in an armored soldier's arm. That's very uncomfortable, even with the arms somewhat exposed.
3:27
Bill:You can’t be serious
Robyn:Yes I can
the music in this scene is incredibly beautiful
violets are blue, roses are prickly, holy crap that went downhill quickly.
the real superpower in this movie is that robyn can go to sleep that easily. like she lays her head down and instantly falls asleep. fuck being a wolf i want THAT superpower
She didn’t sleep last night
The real surprise is she found it comfortable to sleep on metal and leather.
This is moment is so heart braking that it always make me cry everytime i watch this
When i heard that arrow i thought i heard the words
GET OVER HERE
I have no lore other then this and I’m about to burst into tears WHAT 😭

Robyn’s Mother:(if she was alive)Bill what have you done to this beautiful animal
"But, my daughter.."
1:32 Me: Ahh! What the flipping, what? Why?!
Honor Kneafsey and Eva Whittaker had incredible performances.
1 of 3 movies that made me cry
Better and more emotionally engaging to watch than Soul and Onward
And more enjoyable
in my opinion those were some of pixar's weaker films
@@urickmann7768 Definitely agree. But I was referring to the ones released in 2020
I clearly need to brush up on Celtic Mythology about these "Wolfwalkers" because even without context, it's good, just confusing. Also, I don't have Apple TV+
I love how his mutton chops look sort of like a wolfs face
If that hinted to him becoming a wolf later on, that’d be kinda sick
This was foreshadowed earlier in the film, and its still a genuine shock every time I watch (5 times already). I feel bad that we didn't get more Moll scenes. The ones she is in are well made.
oi at least censor the title of the video with a spoiler warning geez.
I legit gasped when I saw her get shot
Aweee Mebh and her mom are so cute ❤ love this film so much. and Robyn is such a food friend to Mebh.
THIS SCENE KILLED MEEE I CRIED SOOO MUCHHHH AAAA
I’m not crying! My eyes are sweating.
What exactly was the Dads plan here? Does he think he can just kill off her friends and take her back home after she made it clear she hates the town? He really should’ve thought this through
When people is scared they don't think straight and that's the point of the story
@@L-S I guess that’s true, especially when it comes to superstitious puritans
@@L-S They don't really think straight when they're being overprotective either.
@@kyndrablankenship1758
Yeap also like that
honestly he wasnt thinking right people saw her release and ride the wolf the lord protector wouldve accused her of being a witch
I watched this movie a few months ago, I believe, in my history class for saint patty’s day and man did I cry hard
Damn, that one part of this scene where Robyn spills to beans really hits hard, coz I seen it before, on release over 2 years ago, and I have been wanting to see it again for days, I never knew this much nostalgia would crawl over me
To be honest this seen really made me cry 😭
Look i never seen it and its already adorable
IM Drunk outta me mind and found this good lord I.......think I gota watch this. Wow. SHEESH. I was just tryina make a shopping list.
I didn't mean government I meant other boys
Why did I cry at the end of this clip..
I’ve seen this movie already
And I love it!!!!
It’s how I started loving wolfs!!!!!
(Awoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!)
Awwwwww omg this is so adorable
This is the best movie I’ve ever seen

So heartwarming I almost cried
I finally found the best mvie
This art looks like afk arena the game
It gives "child of light" and "gris" games vibe
Robyn’s dad:Run Robyn run!
Also him: *holds robyn*
Robyn told Meg. She will promise to save her mom.
This is my crossover fanfiction of this scene
(Mebh mom gets shot)
Mebh: AAAHH
Robyn: NO
(The sad stuff with mebh robyn and her father is interupte3 by a loud crack)
Robyn: what was that
(A big purple explosion erupts from the ground)
(metallic breathing)
(They all look in shock as they see the demon a green humanoid rabbit with purple glowing eyes)
As everything seems to Be great, Robins dad just had to-
Mebh: Ahhh!
Robyn: No!
Wolves: *dramatic gasps*.
Me: Oh God!!!
Me: (remembers that one lady shrieking that from earlier in the film).
I love wolfwalkers it's my favorite like I love it so much my room is full of wolfwalkers and wolves
Damn now I wanna watch this movie now
Robyn's dad just had to ruined the moment like wtf I was like yay the go back together but no Robyn's dad was like
Ha you thought
Nope, we gotta try to resolve some stuff first.
This made me cry
never seen anything about this before and i still started crying ;w;
My version:
(Mebh is about to attack Kilkenny, but then Luna and Luan step in, Mebh growls, but they firmly refuse to step aside)
Luna: Mebh, this isn't what Moll wants.
Luan: Mebh, you are better than this, you're no killer.
(Mebh sighs)
Mebh: Youse are right
Mebh being stopped by Luna and Luan is a much better version than Robyn
@@perkytowers Who the heck are Luna and Luan?
Watching this for the first time, I was instantly surprised when that arrow came out
Чёртовы ниндзя опять где-то рядом режут лук...
Darn ninja are cutting onions somethere aroung here again...
Omg I am literally sobbing right now
AH YES! READ THIS FOR, 4TH GRADE GOOD OL’ DAYS!
What app can you find this movie or series on?
What if Mebh had never forgiven her? Would she have ended up like Rameses from the Prince of Egypt
IMHO, Mebh should have been likr Rameses
Mammy wouldn't be happy.
Do you really think, they’ll be crossover Cartoons: Supernoobs vs. Wolfwalkers
i saw a comment thar said something along these lines, and i wanted to share.
robyn trusted her father, a hunter, a person who hated wolves, to carry her body while seh turned into a wolf. theres so much meaning put into this movie and it really shows the connection of family
1:00 When I watched this part, I was like, Run! Just Run! Now!
Such a tageidy buut I Love wolf walkers sooooooo much
so dramatic how robyn and Mebh react when Mebha mom gets shot,
