fun fact, the french foregin legion adopted this song into their marching songs because of the number of germans escaping prosecution after ww2. La Légion marche vers le front is the name of the french version
You know this song is super popular when hitting million views under half year, men have some great taste apparently even modern society tried to suppress and taboo them, men still find it's cool and idolised to an extent.
There is balance in everything, so when one side goes out of control, it is reflected in the opposition. Besides, fascism was also a progressive thing to believe in back in 1930
That rendition is very clean, pretty hard to find anything else than silly remix versions other places. Thank you for keeping this macabre march available here, after all it is still a very used musical piece in many armies around the world, including modern day Germany ! But this was the original intention of the song.
This song is based on an earlier Freikorps song. Many nationalities serving with the Waffen-SS during the war against Stalin's USSR, had their own versions of this song.
@@Thorr-kl6jlalso to this day many armies still use a version of this. Here is my transliterated version, hopefully close to the actually what the nigga is saying: SS marches in the enemies' lands, and sings a devil's song. a guard stands on the Volga river, and quietly hums along. We whistle up and down, whilst the world can curse us or praise us, however they'd like. Where we are, there is only forwards and the devil only laughs at it: Ha ha ha ha ha We fight for Germany we fight for Hitler The red will never see rest again We had fought in many battles, in North, south east and west. and now we stand ready to fight against the red pest. the SS will not rest, rather it will obliterate. till no one threatens Germany's fortunes. and when the ranks come to be depleted, then for us there is no falling back.

fun fact, the french foregin legion adopted this song into their marching songs because of the number of germans escaping prosecution after ww2. La Légion marche vers le front is the name of the french version
wasnt it Le chant du diable?

You know this song is super popular when hitting million views under half year, men have some great taste apparently even modern society tried to suppress and taboo them, men still find it's cool and idolised to an extent.
There is balance in everything, so when one side goes out of control, it is reflected in the opposition. Besides, fascism was also a progressive thing to believe in back in 1930

This song is based on an earlier Freikorps song. Many nationalities serving with the Waffen-SS during the war against Stalin's USSR, had their own versions of this song.

Our men have marched in hostile lands
And sang a devil's song
A steady guard, on Volga stands
And hums this tune along
We lift up our song ever skyward
So all of the world may hear
That brave men will fight for their homeland
Whether they curse us or cheer
For we are the ones who go forward
And the devil he laughs just like this:
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
We're fighting for Deutschland
We're fighting for Hitler
While we march the reds know no peace
We fight with pride, where e'er we go
In North, South, East, and West
Prepared in heart, to face the foe
And always give our best
Our soldiers know nothing of anguish
For our homeland we stand on our feet
No matter how often we languish
The SS will never retreat
For we are the ones who go forward
And the devil he laughs just like this:
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
We're fighting for Deutschland
We're fighting for Hitler
While we march the reds know no peace
@Ragnarr Lodbrokia I didn't like it much either but better than what is running around here in the comments sections
Here is my transliterated version, hopefully close to the actually what the nigga is saying:
SS marches in the enemies' lands, and sings a devil's song.
a guard stands on the Volga river, and quietly hums along.
We whistle up and down, whilst the world can curse us or praise us, however they'd like.
Where we are, there is only forwards
and the devil only laughs at it:
Ha ha ha ha ha
We fight for Germany
we fight for Hitler
The red will never see rest again
We had fought in many battles, in North, south east and west.
and now we stand ready to fight
against the red pest.
the SS will not rest, rather it will obliterate.
till no one threatens Germany's fortunes.
and when the ranks come to be depleted,
then for us there is no falling back.
@Ragnarr Lodbrokia
It is a translation meant to fully integrate in the target language. So he rephrased some parts to rhyme in English. It's obvious, come on man.
I got this from Google, didn't know there are many other versions of the song.
This song does not need to be twisted in any way. It is perfect on its own. Learn to sing it in the original language. It is not difficult.
