I'm going to be honest, as an American, German History has fascinated me since I was very small. My family came from the Kingdom of Baden-Wurttemberg as hired mercenaries for the British during our War for Independance. Perhaps I shall live quietly in the village of Berchtesgaden on the Obersalzberg, where I will spend my days waking to the beautiful mountain views and devoting what hours remain to me to reading my vast collection of German language books on a variety of German cultural subjects. In the end, I hope to be buried within that sacred German soil that gave rise to those who would one day permit my existence.
