I like your setup bro. I'm looking to start my own online chess business as well as after school in person chess clubs. This video is 3 years old so I can only imagine it may have gotten better on Obi. I'm like a dinosaur I don't know much about tech but I want to learn because I want to do presentations and build chess courses. Are there any other cool colors I can choose from for the children and I like your graphics on the background I need to learn how to do that stuff.

Hi, Great Video. Thank you. How do you create an overlay so you can stream 2 people at the same time on a chess match? (Eg. Player 1 vs Player 2 if they are get onto a Zoom call? I tried to add Zoom window into the Windows Capture, but the actual video part is just white and there is no video showing. Thanks.

Do I play chess on the screen I made of do I need a second screen to actually play the game? Do I need the web browser open all the time so when I reopen OBS, it works? I am confused on that part. I need the more info (sorry I am new to streaming and trying to understand all this)

hi aran, how do you get around when you change the size of your chessboard on chess/com? Do you have to manually adjust in obs?

@@HelloHello-kc5hw Yes you have to adjust your crops in OBS. If you find yourself going back and forth between a few different activities, just make new scenes for each crop needed.

but I think when you start to move the pieces it will exit of the OBs and now you are in the main window
why dont i have 2 boards when i do this? i only still have the 1 whenever i try to move it

There's a delay on mine of about 1 second between when I make a chess move to the time it actually reflects in OBS. I haven't been able to eliminate this second, even after I checked to make sure no delay is setup in the advanced settings. Any ideas?
Streaming on a laptop? What’s your hardware like? Sounds like processing speed, but I’m not certain. Are you using Window Capture to grab the chess board?
@@aranhawaii It's on a desktop Mac. And yes using Window capture. Can't figure it out. Looks odd because the sound of the piece moving leads the actual move on the stream.
Should display capture work better for me. I’ve tried everything with the window capture but the best I got was a black screen with a white strip on top. It said the correct window but was just black
You need to disable Hardware Acceleration in either Firefox or Chrome first. Then Window Capture will work fine. I don't recommend Display Capture.
Is there a way to get the text of your name, rating, and symbols to the left of the timer to show up without the grey background chess.com has?

How can I play on the streaming software and not the browser? Cuz when I play on the browser I can't see comments and stuff, and If I resize the browser everything else in capture looks fucked!

I just have the option to set it on software for the encoder and when I try to put the chess board my screen is black. Please help

You should try disabling Hardware Acceleration in your browser settings.
It's amazing how I can not see background of your video image. How do you hide that?
