I've had my PS5 Aim for almost a year now. It works pretty great, but I find my brother's Scuf controller paddles more comfortably placed, even if the rest of the controller isn't quite as nice. What bugs me is this... My Aim's paddles have broken twice now. They will send you a replacement, BUT IT COSTS $14.99 FOR SHIPPING. For a tiny piece of plastic. I work for an e-commerce site, and yes shipping has gotten more expensive, but it still doesn't cost this much to send something so small. Especially when it still takes a week to get to you. Handling charges, you know, because it's a ton of work to put a tiny piece of plastic into a bag and slap a shipping label on it. I'm convinced that these paddles are designed to periodically break. Just take a look at how THIN the connectors on the paddles are... They get thinner as they go into their hub. I'd say the design was incompetence, but the rest of the controller is so well done that I can't help but think it is by design. They told me a full set costs $14.99. So $30 when you factor in shipping. If you buy one of these, be prepared to replace these periodically. I don't game that hard, and mine's broken twice. In my line of work, we call these "consumables" and that's where they're probably making most of their money. Paddle replacements and "handling" charges. I suppose its better than sending the whole controller in for replacement... I feel like I might just 3D print my own paddles before the total cost of the controller exceeds what I paid for my console.
Thank you! I went thru 3 different other review videos to find out how to remove the paddles and all those other videos have Tens of thousands of views. Great job man keep it up !
I’ve had my Aim Controller V.3 for over 2 years and it is Hands down the best controller I’ve ever bought.I’ve had Every other custom controller and Aim does it the best and you get the best bang for your buck!!
I wanted either a Scuf Envision or an Aim but I couldn't bring myself to spend that much money without hall effect sticks. Aim have just released an option to add them and they're a free upgrade at the moment, £50 add on after this promo I think but at the moment, pretty good value for money.
Great video, thank you for the review. In my opinion the digital trigger on Apex & Cod kinda useless since on both games you can literally put the triggers dead zone to 0. Which can save some money on not including that option on the aim controller. But great video and really helping me decide which controller to go with
Nah but it’s still better to feel a mouse click then a squishy button for the l1 and full extension on the trigger where I’m always accidentally touching which causes me to aim in when having the l2 dead zone all the way down. But with a mouse button, a brush over the button won’t aim in unless I purposely press it
Good warranty cannot be emphasized enough. Although potential stick drift occurring within a year is a problem. The cost of having to repair any other components should also be considered. Assuming stick drift is the only thing you ever have to pay to repair which I’ve seen to be around $60-$80, it could be argued that it is still worth the cost. Warranty of other brands like sony and xbox will only cover you one time, after that you have to buy an entirely new controller. Even if these two companies sold stick drift free controllers other mechanical parts or grips will break and you will again have to buy another controller, defeating the purpose of going the cheaper route. If you plan on using the same controller for at least 3 years plus, this might just be the best long term plan yet. I have personally just purchased this controller, hopefully my experience goes well. I’ve purchased many controllers in the past with my last one being the dualsense edge, this controller has the best stick drift fix but unfortunately I did not consider my already dying bumpers and paddles on this controller, now I will have to send this one in and hopefully get a new one so I can sell it because if it breaks again, it is a complete $200 loss
Which controller do you see better this edge, or some other of the brand aimcontroller, scuff reflex, competicontroler or some other brand of controller with levers, it would be for shooting games
It’ll help with the back buttons to quickly press something and for the trigger stops to shoot faster with FPS Semi Auto weapons but the thumb sticks don’t have any improvement with your aim. It’s to improve you but to the limit of not cheating. It’s not like it’s gonna give you more aim assist or like a Cronus lmao 🤣 You still gotta use your skills and get better lmao
Yooo, great vid. Is it still going Strong? Cuz i want to buy it but i have seen many bad reviews on reddit with people who have their controller less than a month and it is already defect.
Yea I’m sorry about that. Personally I’ve just never been able to get used to a 4 paddle style. Whether it’s the Elite Controller, a Scuf, and an Aim Controller. I tried it for a bit and it’s not bad. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable or awkward as you would think but I would just have to use it more to get used to it
This is what keeps me from getting this. I have the V1 version and the upper paddles are unusable - the best implementation of 4 buttons where your fingers lay naturally on them is from Battle Beaver (which takes for ever to receive so I have never tried them) and Evil controllers (this one is my favorite controller, and its the best and most comfortable - I am about to order another one).
Just giving another update on why to AVOID this company at all costs! I just waited 1 month and 15 days for my controller to be repaired and returned to me. I just received it today AND it is in worse shape than it was before! The left trigger stop does not function whatsoever, and the trigger is completely faulty.. right out of the box again! They clearly did not even test the controller prior to sending it back out to me. I even paid an extra $15 for a rubber coating which was not even applied to my controller. AIM has completely scammed me and told me there are no refunds, only repairs. I just waisted $450 and 2 months of my time, and NEVER even have gotten to USE THE CONTROLLER! 💀
So it comes with different height thumb sticks in the box that you can swap out? When building the controller on the site there’s no need to put left aim stick ps small and right aim stick ps high, correct?
Yessir! I’ve been satisfied with Controller and everything been still working great and no issues with the design fading or chipping. Same goes with my logo 🔥🤙🏼
Yes, that is normal. Happened to me too and they state that on the website. They center it for you. I was worried about that too. They are working on fixing that and revamping the whole website hopefully soon 👍🏼
Thanks for the review. Regarding stick drift, if you experience it on the aim controller, can you fix it by switching the thumbsticks, or is stick drift something deeper rooted?
@@robertmiller6185 I didn’t get paid by Aim Controller and I still haven’t experienced any stick drift yet after many hours of use. It’s different for everyone
