- Winter finally feels like its behind us, warmer weather and longer days, but the saltwater action here in Southern New England surely has awhile before it picks up. This day I went to a stocked Trout lake in CT which allows fishing all through the "pre season". I was hoping to catch lots of big fish, but realistically I'd be happy to catch anything. Turned out to be better than I expected.

Only the true seamoney og fans remember the deleted walleye videos
living fishing legend here, in his prime..
Nice to see another productive kayak video. I had a striper about 25" get a VMC 4X Saltwater in my right pointer last month. Those bigger schoolies and lower 30" stripers are the shakiest ones.
Here in CT we used to have a typical trout season from 6am on the second Saturday of April until 11:59pm on the last day of February the following year. There were a few places we could fish during the closed season. But when the pandemic struck and a lot of people were stuck at home without much to do, our governor decided to do away with the trout season and make trout fishing open year round. The originally closed season is now C&R trout in all waters. The state used to hardly do any stocking during March. But now that we can fish for trout year round, the state stocks in March.
Low key best fishing RUclipsr out there glad to see you uploading again!
Hooks in hand and no clickbait… wow
Nice trout love the pins minnow! Next size up works even better
I should have thrown a bigger one with those bigger fish being stocked, will have to try it next time
Nice bro! I use to fish there all the time. Never caught the elusive walleye in that lake though! Some stud largemouth out on some main lake humps jigging the keitech.
yep I remember your vids there haha no luck for me in the depths this time
Always straight right fishing
Wow. Awesome brown there!
Awesome video - winter brown trout great to see
Once the trout waters closed, I had to satiate myself with white perch and spring blue gills....April can't come quick enough
Always a good day when a video comes out 🎉
Keep the freshwater vids comin🙏
I had a treble in my thumb last year, took two nurses ten minutes to get it out after 2 shots of anaesthetic, I just looked the other way and pretended it wasn't happening. Tried to remove it with some pliers from the boot of the car, using the cutters, but cut it too short so the docs could not get purchase on what was left easily!
Nasty
yikes yea its not fun getting hooked, I would have liked some of those anesthetic shots in that moment haha
Great vid Chris. Spring is here in CT. Hope to run into you again on the beach in a few months
Eyyy wassup Chris! Thanks for the help at the RISSA show! Tight lines
Trying to promote the one treble per lure on all sites possible..good for fish and fisherman.
Way to go man thanks for the vids missed ya man going to nj back waters Sat gonna try some killies and blood s sea ya soon braaaa
Nice brown!! Yeah i have no interest in catching perch ice fishing lol dinks
Nice
Times are tough, man, we aint seen nothin yet
Love when you are consistent with videos🙌
Going to montauk for cod this Thursday
Miss you on the PA waters
Awesome vid as always 🙏🏻
that's a nasty spot for a hook. right in the meat. i've been running a rear single on damn near every plug i own since last year. crush the barbs down to nothing at night. during the day i might leave a tiny bit of barb on the front treble. 2/0 vmc treble up front and a 3 or 4/0 rear single works for the sp for me. turns a floater into a very slow sink, but i think they have better action.
When guys say, use 4lb test it's sporty I say piss off I'm using my 15lb braid for most of fishing, if I catch a fish I'm catching a fish !
Off topic of the video, what lb braid do you run on your lexa? Specifically for plugs and striper. Happened to fall into a pro-blue 844c and lexa for dirt cheap. Glad to see you out catchin, Im getting those cold water PA Lm bass pretty good recently.
I was using 40lb braid on that one, real solid setup
That looks like a massive anchor for no current. I use a 5lb dumbell
it only weighs 5lbs, very easy to use, though I didn't use it this day
Ever do any carping? Embrace the corn sharks, bro. Tog and winter flounder will be here soon.
I was a die hard carp guy at the beginning.. 2005-2008. Corn sharks haha maybe I should give it another shot.
Seamoney asmr
Hey just a quick question, do u still
Use the topwater 120? Miss u slaying in that kayak 😂
this is the predator, which they have since renamed the sportsman. Topwater is gone, predator is bigger and better suited for me as Im pretty tall and fit better in a 13' yak
so are these holdovers from winter stocking?
The big ones were stocked late January, I don’t know when the little ones were stocked exactly, I was surprised to see so many little ones
Sea monnnn
Yeah booooi... Sea moneys back... Baby it's red panty night.....
Why fish for something your not going to eat?
its called recreational fishing, and many fisheries are managed as catch and release or allow very minimal harvest. None of these fish except the crappie would be legal to keep. Its a 100 billion dollar industry here in the US and the fish all survive for the most part to be caught again and again
