What a great day fishing! Beautiful out there. For some reason trout love to jump on a crankbait. I remember one time trolling a flatfish I had one jump like that. Crankbaits are one of my all time favorite baits for not just trout, but bass and walleyes.
I've had decent luck trolling Flicker Shads from my kayak, too, although nothing remotely like that. Where I am, one rainbow that size would be a fish of a lifetime; to get six or seven in a day is bananas. Awesome video!
Happy Birthday!! I’ve learned so much from your vids. I used your Kokanee jigging technique this week for my first Kokanee on Lake Timothy and a 21 inch rainbow!!
Great birthday adventure. i just celebrated the 30th anniversary of my 42nd birthday last month. I've never thought of crank baits for trout. I'll have to give that a try at the Pens on Rufus Woods
Great results! Love the no people background. You may want to re-think your flicker-shad unit price comment of around $4 each, as your link for that lure shows $10.67 each.😝
Hello from Yakima, and happy birthday, hard to beat birthday bows like that! Random question, have you ever ran the smaller 8” or 4” pro trolls for trout or Kokanee? Thanks for the videos, have caught lots of trout from things learned in your videos.
@@spiltmilt good to know, I’ll save my money. Doing a week at Roosevelt at the end of the month, hoping to put some big bows in the boat. Tight lines and thanks again for all the excellent content.
Try Dreamweaver spin doctors 8 inch flashers, I run them all the time on a dummy rig for Kokanee when they are in deeper water. They’ve been fantastic for me and they work at speeds between 0.5 and 3.5.
Happy Birthday Tyler, Thanks for putting me on the fish bro
2:08 that tarpon jump they do is so awesome. One of my favorite parts of trout fishing!
Those big trout were doing a happy dance for your birthday!!
Happy birthday to the fishing GOAT 🐐🎣 🎉

Hey Tyler
Great video! I must’ve missed it but can you say what lake this was?
Thanks for another great video! Have you found a big difference between the standard Flicker Shad the jointed styles?
Yes the jointed seem to catch a lot more fish
@@spiltmilt thanks!
@@spiltmilt have you seen the same thing using the Rapala floaters for trolling? Jointed vs regular?
Happy belated Birthday 🎉🎂

They don’t work at Kokanee troll speeds
