Used to visit my late mother-in-law in Englewood. Your right loved the slower pace. Then we would drive home to Ft Lauderdale and when you hit US 27 in Weston and 595 all hell breaks loose and your back in the insanity of SE Florida (Miami-Ft Lauderdale).
Thanks for the sharing and we totally agree. The east coast of Florida has such a different feel. West coast all the way for me! Take care and all the best to you.
We love Venice but the traffic is horrible during the winter months. We usually visit in late spring and early fall. Englewood is very tourist oriented but ok. Rotonda is more rural and we’re use to that and like it. But in the end housing is ridiculously over priced and when you add insurance and taxes we prefer just to visit and not be locked into one place
Thanks for your comment. We agree traffic can get congested during the winter but it’s only for three months. Fortunately, the rest of the year is smooth sailing with little traffic. Regarding prices, we’re seeing home prices going down and builders are offering crazy good incentives and closing assistance making it much more affordable. But paradise does come at a cost which we, and our customers, think is well worth it. All the best and hope we get to meet next time you come down to visit.
Wanting to move from Orlando area for a few yrs. Now. But, watching prices increase there almost 3 times it was. Also thinking investment properties like duplex triplex . What you think.?
Sounds good! The easiest way to do that is to set up a search on our website at sharktoothrealty.com. You can set the search for multi family. If you’d prefer, send us your contact info (email and phone) at sharktoothrealty@gmail.com and we can set it up for you. Looking forward to working with you!

The real estate market is about to fall out the bottom, wait until it crashes then pick up homes for half price.

Great place for wealthy retired married couples, especially housewives and not recommended for anyone under 65.. .
I think you’d be surprised, the demographic of the Venice area is changing. We’re in our mid 40’s and there are plenty of people just like us.
