Alright it is a DAMN shame that they cut this questline. It would've given me even the slightest temptation to do that ending outside of 100%-ing the game. I always liked Kale's voice acting, and he went HARD in this quest. But I'm a sucker for a story where a broken, beaten people rise up and burn it all to the ground.
4:31 sounds like that weird-ass "open for business" message in the woods was supposed to be for his new stop, and not whatever random merchant is there in the release
Yeah, it's strange how none of the other merchants have signs like that except the guy in the woods. It would have been cool to see him in our travels with us
Merchant Kale's story breaks me. even though they cut it from the game someone managed to find it and fromsoftware still got to our hearts... with Kale as one of the first characters you meet and grow to love, i would have followed his questline my first playthrough and possibly gotten frenzied flame ending that way. maybe his quest would have made it too easy to find the three fingers. i feel like his story makes the worst ending canon but others think that ranni's ending is the true ending. but idk i think the frenzied flame ending makes the most sense to me in terms of actually triggering strong emotion, and then something to continue off of from the very end with a well known character which i wont share bc of spoilers
on the one hand, im sad to learn they cut out such an incredibly written and emotion-provoking questline from the game, but im also glad because i 100% would have had to fight kale because i would never help him release the frenzied flame. i wish we get more of kale in the future, im surprised by how a simple merchant npc made such an impact on so many players lol
it's sad that his questline was cut, if only because the voice acting is even better than most of what actually made it in
