This is a helpful video for setting up a Tentbox Lite 2.0 or Lite XL alongside a Tentbox Awning.
The tent poles on the NEW Lite 2.0 and XL tents are not as flexible, which means an important consideration needs to take place while mounting everything on your roof bars.

So the problem you have is that the universal awning brackets that come with the awning a L brackets, so you can either have them pointing up or pointing down.
When pointing up, the awning sits higher up and I found that you could fit the rainfly poles into the base of the tent as the awning was in the way.
I had to mount it with the L brackets pointing down, which meant the awning sat lower. The worry was that it would stop the doors from opening, but that’s not been the case. It’s fine to mount it lower and it solves the problem of attaching the poles to the tent.
Does that all make sense?

@@LeeHill73 awesome. I’ve also found it easier to fit the awning without the tent attached, so fit and attach the awning and then place and secure the tent afterwards
@@ChocChipTravels undoing those bolts on the tent is not something I want to repeat again any time soon. They are way too long. Ive just watched the installation video. Cant wait to screw this up. haha

Just put thr brackets on facing down. That solves the issue

@ChocChipTravels took me ages to figure it out. Was a right faf and had to put bolts upside down with shorter bolts as the plastic ends on the roof bars flair out to needed em fastening right at top
@@spencersutcliffe4936 Yeah i had a faff on too. Put it all on to try it, wouldn’t work, then had to take it all off again to swap it around. I’m never touching it again 😂
