The latest TentBox Lite doesn't need straps for cover security, cutting setup time and cover wear. We've created an elastic cord accessory for securing the cover. Reach out here: tentbox.com/pages/contact-us
You need to make this more clear. Just spent half an hour looking for the straps, stressed out.
Be good to explicitly say that 2.0 XL is same as the 2.0 as left constantly wondering when setting up my XL.
Hi guys, I have the newer model but not sure which elastic cord should be used for securing cover, is that included in the box?
@@nick_maloneI just received mine last week and I have the same question. Do we use the orange elastic "guy ropes" to secure the cover once it's zipped closed and ready to head down the road? That's the only thing I could picture using that would be long enough to wrap around the travel cover that came in our kit.
@@snowsolo I don't think those ropes are suitable for that, I just ended up using nothing as it was secured no problem. Terrible video to be honest it wasn't relavent to my new XL at all, had to figure most of it out for myself

Looking to get one this year, i had 2 vans but due to fires iv given up on that! But this will be awesome for my channel as i want to travel up in scotland to visit my mates from the channel kinging-it and in around Europe ⚡️
Great instructional video, but maybe if the storage bag was on the opposite side, it could be utilised as an awning.

Do you need to secure the bottom of the ladder to stop it moving etc?

I'm worried about the weight for installation we are both under 5ft women and wouldn't want to leave it on in winter when we're unlikely to use it!! Last time I checked it was quite heavy, is this new one lighter?

I came across this company through tiktok, inspired me alot. I never wanted to go camping, but this makes it so easy to travel by car. Only question, do you guys also ship internationally? (to the Netherlands.) I get redirected to a german website but it looks like a way older version of the current one. Let me know!

Do it! You wont regret it!
Open the whole ladder and let it lock then open the tent. Once it’s cantilevered out adjust the ladder. Don’t let it deglove you.

You can wrap them around the cross bars so they don't 'flap' in the wind 😊
Is it compareable with a VW Beetle? Does the trunk will open fully?

Can it be folded up with bedding inside?
For the Lite, we say no as you need to fold it flat to fit the cover on comfortably.
I didn’t get a user manual with my 2.0 but I’ve used this video to work out how to install it.

Really disappointing that the XL and specifically the newer model doesn't have its own instruction manual and instead just points to this video which half of doesn't apply to my model at all. Different procedures for installing, different amounts of poles etc, no straps on my model which was confusing and your pinned comment didn't make any sense. For £2000 I really would expect an instruction manual in the box instead of a link to an old RUclips video, and what if I had no phone signal?
How fast can I drive with one on the roof?
We don't recommend going over the UK national speed limit, 70mph.

That's fair enough, we have designed our TentBox models to be quite the opposite, and feedback shows it's really not a faff. If you ever get the chance, I'd recommend trying one out. You may even change your mind 😄
This compared to a tent and all the blow up beds... No comparison. This is a dream.
