as a young diesel tech (23) i really appreciate what you are doing . you make this so simple to understand , i am a fleet tech and 90% of our units are x14/15s although i may never see a valve adjustment at my current job i would like to do it on my own in the future . as well as in chassis overhauls . again thank you
Thank you, I’ve seen quite a few of these Cummins (almost all) that the valve lash gets tight after about 200k. It’s definitely worth a check. Had one on an 11 that would run hot and it ended up being tight valve settings.
Nice video sir.! Do you have any videos changing out the injector rocker rollers? I have a 09 cummins isx 400st and I noticed one of the injector rockers(the roller) is worn and shiny compared to the others. Thanks again…😎🙏🏽
Same way you adjust the valves. They are .250 clearance if I remember right. Helps to get a .250 key shaft and weld a small rod to it to use as feeler gauge.

@@zedperformance thanks for the heads up I'll keep a look out for it . Most of our issues are aftertreatment related at this time .

Great video sir. By any chance do you have a video for single cam isx15 2012. Mine is the 400hp. Any idea where I can find the specs?

ISX12 are you talking about? Short rocker is the intake, long rocker is the exhaust.
If you have Jake brakes how do you adjust them?

are twin cams ISX better then the single cam ISX or is it vice versa?
What is the reasoning these have to be adjusted? What symptoms would you expect if not done for a while?
Cam Bearings go bad and can cause cam to go bad as well
