I did this on a cold winter night for a Triumph Tiger 1050 motorcycle I got from Santa. I was spraying cleaner into the fuel line and into the intake while trying to keep it running. The injectors were clogged. Some PB blaster and carb cleaner in the hose and a suction from the injector side and it started running on the injectors and I didn't have to spray the intake anymore. Then I hooked the gas tank back up and it ran under its own power once again. Damn fine bike. Its very refined.

There is absolutely no problem with this procedure and mostly works but if you have the time and money it is worth having them ultrasonically cleaned. Believe me you will really appreciate just how much rust (if any) and varnish type dirt comes off the injectors after an ultrasonic clean.
Very good video, I need to do. That I think I have a bad ignitor. I throwers a po305 code but I clear the code and it will run good until I push the gas to the floor then it will throw the code. I can drive it up to 65. Or 70mph with no trouble. Thanks

How well does this work on a V6 and V8 engine? I haven't looked real close at the V6 but the V8 has a hose that connects 2 rails (left bank and right bank). I did try this on my V8 but didn't see any improvement in LTFT. I thought about running another can of carb cleaner but I'll decide on that later. This is the first time I have done a cleaning like this on my original OEM injectors (22 years old - 81,000 miles). I don't have any codes so it probably didn't need to be done. The only downside to doing this "in place" cleaning is that you don't get to see if all the injectors are adequately cleaned. I'll have to try this on my V6 and see what results I get with it (60,000+ miles) - they've never had this kind of cleaning done either. Thanks for this alternative to pouring injector cleaner into the gas tank.
How does this compare to just running a big bottle of Luca injector cleaner through the tank? Will Lucas fully clean them, or is a direct method like this better?
Sprays can cause detonation. Where the liquid or vapor ignites before the piston is at the top. I don't recommend this. Wait until you have a quarter tank......and put some Lucas in it. And drive it all within a few days so you don't get moisture accumulating along with the alcohol.mixture in the Lucas. Don't let Lucas sit in your tank. But it cleans injectors.
@@sasquatchrosefarts If detonation is unwanted, pull the spark plugs, the vapour of that cleaner will then leave the engine via the spark plug holes, however there is a fire risk, of course
