Just got one of this, as my tank gone absolutely green.. For 24/7 running do i need to disconnect the timer and connect it straight to the main? Also many suggest for longevity life of bulb run it 24/7, don't know if it is true or not...
Thanks for watching! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I was on vacation! You probably figured it out but...this is what the manual says. "To run UVC unit continuously: Press the timer Power button. The Operating Status light should illuminate in Green to indicate normal functionality." You should not bypass the timer. The green light tells you if it is operating properly.

Did u install it to the inlet or outlet valve
To the output. You definately want to do that so filtered water passes over the light and does not obstruct it. It is multi-directional though.
