Thanks for watching my video. I gathered all the videos I shot at this concert in a RUclips playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLwdc0qZNx0ta-DQp4qkzn0XD4hZ2WQAVP. The other songs are Highway To Hell (AC/DC cover), Still Alive And Well (Rick Derringer cover), Word Up (Cameo cover), Earache My Eye (Cheech And Chong cover), Jungle Boogie (Kool & The Gang cover), Skin Tight (Ohio Players cover), Fairies Wear Boots (Black Sabbath cover), Symptom Of The Universe (Black Sabbath cover), and Live Wire (AC/DC cover). Enjoy!
I was there on this night. It effin raged. It was more than a show, it was like a party. Everyone there was super amped because they had all just left the 1st night of the Metallica 40th shows. They didnt even start playing until almost 11 and immediately blasted in with Highway to Hell. One of the great shows in my life
The Ozzy and Dio years were so different that's what I love. Dio really suited the 80's with his theatrical operatic style of singing whereas the hippy/bluesy stuff suited Ozz more
Man when this song first came out every band in my hometown was doing a cover but not crazy train it took a little while for that song we got two gray albums heaven n hell n blizzard of oz that was a great year n great cover
1980 was a fantastic year for hard rock. Back in Black, Animal Magnetism, Iron Maidens debut, Steel Wheels, On through the Night, British Steel, Ace of Spades, Long Arm of the Law, Cultisaurus Erectis and Women and Children First to name a few.
Well, he's not recording anything with them. Jason very often joined bands onstage while he was in Metallica. They didn't care. But at the time, their egos were more fragile. Glad they grew as people though.
This is the best Heaven and Hell cover I've heard! It's not technically flawless, but it has a soul and grit that most metal-purist copycats just don't have.
0:11 - 0:14. "Freebird, Smoke on the Water." Say that at an Al Di Meola concert, and have security promptly exit you out of the building, by Di Meola's request.
@@bucknasty69 True. I saw one video where he told some individuals to stop screaming and cheering while he was playing acoustic. A lot of technically brilliant players tend to have boring or arrogant personalities.
Heaven and Hell tour - 2007 - I saw the real deal perform this. It was slightly better... I don't expect anyone to match Dio, but I expected more of Kirk Hammett here. This solo on this song isn't really that hard, compared to other Iommi stuff. It should be covered with respect and played note for note. I'd hate to see Kirk try to play the solos in Neon Knights.
It fell apart at the big moment because the Guitar player was not playing the solo note for note and got locked in that triplet phrase too early. Nice to see he threw some of the proper lead in there, but the wha, why, it's Heavy Metal, that lead should just be as it is on the album. sparse, alone. It's almost like the intro to Die Young but with that pulse behind it instead of the wavy keys. Singing was alright, I thought "no side projects" in Metallica. I just clicked on to see a wedding band play Heaven and Hell hoping it was note for note.
You sound fun. This is clearly not a cell phone video. Those don't maintain the same resolution when zooming. Also, this was a rare show by artists who don't normally play together. If not for the fan videos, we'd never see any of this amazing stuff.
I mean man we got shredders like wylde and petrucci who can be classified as metal coz vai and satriani and malmsteen are more of progressive rock hard rock and shit like that and in metal we have guitarists like dime and chuck and randy i mean all are equally legends but iommi created metal man so he is trhe best metal guitarist

Ozzy is my fucking guy. But good god Heaven and Hell is easily one of Sabbaths best albums. Dio forever 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I have no idea Whitfield had that range, he killed it! Sounded great with the AC/DC tune too
always felt he was underrated as a vocalist, some UKJ stuff is great, an would be quite different without his vocals
Certified screamer for sure
Great singer ❤
He's great, I really wish you would have taken the Judas Priest gig
Kirk Hammett sounds amazing here. He really captures Tony's feel and plays it effortlessly. This is awesome! Especially for us old metal heads!
What a trip two Filipino legends up on a stage rocking da metal!
this needs to be done in a studio. it's badass.
Kirk has never sounded better than with that Paul. He leveled up his sound
That Les Paul has featured in more legendary songs than any other guitar. Someone should do a documentary about its life!
How bout the SG both the Gibson and the Epiphone which is what I own.....
well done 🤘🤘🤘
So fucking sick, and Crane’s vocals are still awesome. Always been underrated.
I gotta say, I saw Dio twice back in the day and dude here sounds (on this one song) every bit as good.
It's really good to see these heavy musicians doing their favorite songs when they're still teens.
These guys are good enough to form a Metallica tribute band!
LOL ya gonna make Lars mad.
😎
lol
Why am I just now seeing this!!! Kirk playing Greeny on a Sabbath classic!!! And Whitfield is still a helluva singer. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Man those pipes, dio would be so proud..
Still !
Crane
lol the vocals were awful
I LOVE THAT KIRK PLAYS THE SHIT OUT OF 'GREENY'. JUST THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.
Awesome performance...Kirk played real cool!!!
Kirk with a Les Paul is the greatest thing to happen to me this year. Holy fuck balls
And it's Peter Green's (founder of fleetwood mac) Les Paul, also owned by Gary Moore!
That's th best cover of Ronnie's vocals I've heard! 👏bravo!
You should check out liliac. 😉
I like Black Sabbath even more with Dio!
Yep me too
X2
The Ozzy and Dio years were so different that's what I love. Dio really suited the 80's with his theatrical operatic style of singing whereas the hippy/bluesy stuff suited Ozz more
Nice to see that LP going to good hands, more so getting used 👍🏻

Fantastic
Robert layin' it down!
Two of my favorite Vocalist's.
W. Crane sounds awesome. RJD must be proud of him
Any band members with Metallica in it is rad. This was a great cover of Heaven and Hell👍👏😚
Thanks for the upload, it's great fun.
That was so awesome guys 🤘👍🎸🎶
ONLY ONE WORD - FANTASTIC
Trujillo holding that shit down!
You mean Hetfield allowed this! Don't tell Jason😅
Yeah that was so petty, most of the people going to an Echobrain concert would be wearing Metallica T-shirts.
Damn. Been a fan of Mark since 87. He sounds great here
Odd how James and Lars don't seem to have a problem with Kirk's solo endeavors they way they did with Jason.
Times change people change.. James even admits his ego couldn’t handle it 20 yrs ago.. and they have enough money anyways
Yo creo que Kirk a estas alturas es irreemplazable, así que si se llega a ir... chau Metallica...
Well, he's not recording anything with them. Jason very often joined bands onstage while he was in Metallica. They didn't care. But at the time, their egos were more fragile. Glad they grew as people though.
Frikken awesome!!!!! KRK is a legend for sure...but even then, has big shoes to fill and did great!
Fuckin Geezer was a beast!!! Robert is KILLING it man!! Love it!!!!
Like this so much 🤟
Whitfield! Holy Shit!!
The guitarist and the bassist should audition for Metallica
BADASS….!!!
Kirk has the $1M Greeny Les Paul out.
Kirk and greeny the duo!!
Love it
Hammett with Greenie..
(Gary Moores LP he got from Peter Green)
Nice Mark
🤘
OSEGUEDA!
Kirk with the Les Paul. Dont see that often!
That's gary Moores les paul..
If I’m not mistaken, thats the super expensive LP that belonged to another famous guitarist. Supposedly one of his favorite guitars.
@@chadcaughmann7898 If I'm not mistaken that's the famous Greeny that belonged to Peter Green and later Gary Moore.
Peter Green
@@darindavis6291 and before that it was Peter Greens (the founder of fleetwood mac)
well done guys!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's a good rendition, but personally once you've seen DIO do this live with Vivian Campbell nothing really compares in my mind.
Dio himself is better than these guys? No I won't have it
Actually, seeing Dio do it live in Black Sabbath on the Heaven and Hell tour right after the album came out was the best! Nothing compares in my mind.
Well he’s dead sooooo🤷
@@bmark7951 Not according to his hologram. Just ask Wendy.😂 That was a total debacle.
Trujillo is the chit!!
🤟🤟🤟🤟

The band sounded great! The singers... um... well... the band sounded great.

Love Al Di Meola’s music but I had no idea he was such a humorless putz.
@@bucknasty69 True. I saw one video where he told some individuals to stop screaming and cheering while he was playing acoustic. A lot of technically brilliant players tend to have boring or arrogant personalities.
Joe did great!
Is that john theodore on drums?
Yep
Holy crap he's playing a real burst
It originally belonged to Peter Green.
And not just any burst.. the greeny burst
Anyone know where he got the killer Lemmy shirt??
his voice sounds like James Dio
Nope
Maybe it’s just me, but he sounded off key the whole time.

Kirt wow.
Wacken 2009 , is without doubt the best . Check it out .
Is that Stacey Keech with a scarf on singing heaven and hell.... bwahahahahahahaha
Sgt Stadenko🤪
Damn you, wah pedal.
I bet u don't know how to use one
Kirk is moving like he's got a turd stuck halfway
Hey get your plug out
fine for a pub band, the vocals are all over the place
Agreed, his vocal range was there but was out of tune half the time
Is that Gary Moore's '59 LP?
yeah kirk has had it for a long time
Det er Peter Green’s «Greenie», som Gary Moore eide en periode👍
@@darinsteele7091 It's great to see it is being put to good use, and not just hanging on a wall :)
@@olekristianegge6365 Ja, kjente til hvordan Gary Moore fikk den, men ante ikke at den hadde havnet i hendene på Kirk. 👍
Peter Green's :)
Dio är svår att överträffa
What Kirk skipped the intro....
Is that the drummer from the TMV.. badass
Yes and qotsa
I've covered this song on drums in many bands. The drummer totally fucked up the part coming out of the quiet solo part. It's not hard.
That second singer has pipes but he was a bit flat a lot of this.
jesus....
Хэмет написал 0 песен в группе DIO.
Black Sabbath тоже 0 песен
Вот откуда у Iron Maiden ноги растут
I didn’t think it was good at all!
It was not cohesive …and did not mesh! Too much drums at end!
Nobody cares what you think
Vocals???? My neighbors kids band is better.
Ça vaut pas l'original
I hate all cell phone recorded live band post on RUclips. Bands all hate it also. They ALL sound horrible.

black sabbath or rainbow ??
Black Sabbath
Sabbath of course ;)
If you don't know what are you even doing here? Stick to Justin bebber
black fingernail polish kirk? edgey
Been doing that for years
Feig
Seriously, at least 20
Where have you been? He’s painted his nails since the Load days 26 years ago for Chrissake.
Good band but crap vocals.
4:50 that guitar solo was very painful to listen to. he struggling.
Kurt is good but he'll never be metal as Iommi

Iommi IS metal
Kirk blows

He never claimed to be a genius.
He gets the job done nicely.
