    The Incredible Hulk Movie Description:
Scientist Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) desperately seeks a cure for the gamma radiation that contaminated his cells and turned him into The Hulk. Cut off from his true love Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) and forced to hide from his nemesis, Gen. Thunderbolt Ross (William Hurt), Banner soon comes face-to-face with a new threat: a supremely powerful enemy known as The Abomination (Tim Roth).
The Incredible Hulk is a 2008 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character the Hulk. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures, it is the second film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It was directed by Louis Leterrier from a screenplay by Zak Penn, and stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner alongside Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, Tim Blake Nelson, Ty Burrell, and William Hurt. In the film, Bruce Banner becomes the Hulk as an unwitting pawn in a military scheme to reinvigorate the "Super-Soldier" program through gamma radiation. Banner goes on the run from the military while attempting to cure himself of the Hulk.
After the mixed reception to Universal's 2003 film Hulk, Marvel Studios reacquired the rights to the character though Universal retained distribution rights. Leterrier, who had expressed interest in directing Iron Man for Marvel, was brought onboard and Penn began work on a script that would be much closer to the comics and the 1978 television series of the same name. In April 2007, Norton was hired to portray Banner and to rewrite Penn's screenplay. His script positioned the film as a reboot of the series, distancing it from the 2003 film to give the new version its own identity. Norton was ultimately not credited for his writing. Filming took place from July to November 2007, primarily in Toronto, Canada, with additional filming in New York City and Rio de Janeiro. Over 700 visual effects shots were created in post-production using a combination of motion capture and computer-generated imagery to complete the film.
The Incredible Hulk premiered at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on June 8, 2008, and was released in the United States on June 13, as part of Phase One of the MCU. It received praise for its action sequences and was considered an improvement over the 2003 film, but it was criticized as generic and lacking in depth. The film grossed $264.8 million worldwide, making it the lowest-grossing film of the MCU. Norton disagreed with Marvel over the final edit of the film and was replaced in the role of Banner by Mark Ruffalo for future MCU content starting with The Avengers in 2012.

Fun facts: the show that Edward Norton was watching at the beginning, and that you said he can't watch anything with violence. The guy who said "wow, nice punch" was Bill Bixby. The Guy who played David Banner in the original Incredible Hulk tv show. And ya, the security guard was Lou Ferrigno, who played the actual hulk. And the character who caught the campus fight on camera named Jack McGee, was the name of the reporter who kept searching for the hulk in the show as well. He's the one who gets the famous quote: "Mr. Mcgee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." Which they poke fun of while in the soda factory scene in this movie..

We got very little hulk and then all of his growth was done offscreen. He went from a broken man to living the best of both worlds and we didn’t get to see it. In the ice, you can see Cap and his Shield break out of the surface (slow the frames). I believe SHIELD was looking for Banner when they discovered the plane was in and eventually found Cap.
My only beef with this now is that Cap's Shield was in the plane. So the scene no longer fully verifies that. Would be great to recon or make it official in the MCU.

The music is IMO one of the most forgotten gems of the entire MCU - it's blatantly meant to imply homage to classic "tragical monster" movies like the original Frankenstein, and so on.
As for the slapping in his Brazilian Jujitsu anger management class, the thing is that the body has involuntary stress responses - in the MCU, anger is just part of what changes him, it's when his adrenaline and heartrate goes up that he goes fully Hulk. Edit: The "two Canadian hunters" bit is a bit of a wink towards the classic storyline where Wolverine was introduced, Canadian hunters got killed and Wolverine is sent to investigate, sees Hulk, fights, then it turns out it was a different Marvel monster all along.

It may have even been an alternate ending because I feel like the theatrical version was not the original ending....The same scene ends with the Captain America shield being visible in the ice, foreshadowing the Captain America movie...
But I was one of the few people who thought this was a great plot with the best looking Hulk... and kudos for the Brazilian chick at the beginning... Blade and Spawn will forever be my favorite anti-hero comic characters. Even though the original Spawn film isn't nearly as good as the source material, the practical effects of Spawn and Clown/Violator looked next level for the 90's. Plus the casting of Michael Jai White and John Leguizamo was on point. I'm really hoping the reboot Todd McFarlane has been hinting at for the past five years actually gets made because that film needs a modern adaptation.

I LOVE this movie. It's definitely my favourite of Phase One. Theres a brutality and terror to the Hulk that is not present in any of the other Marvel movies. Also, in the later films, we took away the biggest part of the Hulks story, which was him CONSTANTLY being hunted by Ross and the government wanting to make him into a weapon.
Both Banner and Hulk, I thought looked better in this one.And Norton was better than Ruffalo. New Banner is too comedic.
"That girl is fine!" Dude, the visual acting of her looking at Bruce and us being able to guess she likes him without them having any stretched out interactions was great.
Sadly, Planet Hulk most likely won't happen, as the story takes place on Sakaar(the Sakaarans are in GOTG and they look more buglike than the red skinned species they were in the comics)and we sort of had a cut down story by making him the gladiator in "Thor:Ragnarok", along with Korg and Miek.
Hulk has two lines, which are "Hulk...SMASH!"(which made me lose my shit)and "Leave me alone..." (which was a line Hulk usually said in the comics to let people know get the HELL away!)
The film was actually shot in Toronto. The space for the big monster brawl was Downtown from me.
Hulk and Abomination are a little different in the comics. Bruce becomes stronger the angrier he gets, but Abomination doesn't.
You thought of balls too? I thought I was the only fucking one. XD
Included is a bit that I was upset got abandoned, which is Bruce being able to sort of aim the Hulk. He shows he has smarts as well as brawn in the clashes(stopping the sonic waves with one chunk of metal while slicing it in two with the other, using the cop car as makeshift knuckledusters against Abomination, using his Thunderclap as a vacuum to put out blaze from the helicopter and using the ground pound to trap Blonsky and take away his strength and speed advantages. In the rest of the movies, he just stays the brute/super strength player.

There are many call backs and references to The Incredible Hulk TV Series in this film; not just the Lou Ferrigno cameo, the Bill Bixby reference, or the classic line: “Don’t make me angry…you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”
    Some of them are:
    - The “bright green eyes” that triggers the Hulk-out are a nod to the “bright white eyes” that release The Hulk on the show.
    - The university where Banner returns to; Culver University, is a nod to Culver Institute; where David Banner was working in the pilot episode of the series.
    - After the Hulk flees Brazil; and you see a shirt-less Banner walking through the streets, the opening notes of “The Lonely Man” are played. “The Lonely Man” was the song played at the end of each episode (except for the 2-parters) of The Hulk TV Series.
    - During the battle between The Hulk and the Army, two college students were filming the battle on their phones. One of the students was named Jack McGee; who was a reporter for the college’s newspaper. In the series, Jack McGee was a Chicago newspaper reporter who pursues Banner and The Hulk from city to city in the hopes of capturing what he referred to in the pilot episode as “one of the great stories of the 20th century.”

In the comics, Sam refused the serum & we saw him walk away from the serum in his show, so more than likely he's without it in Cap 4.
Bruce saying "me underground in a metal..." Is just like how he says it in Avengers "me in a pressurized metal container..." Just shows that these characters are the same & if Norton had stayed on Hulk would've went the same route eventually becoming Prof Hulk & setting up World War Hulk in She Hulk.

Edward Norton gave alot of energy to his role in the incredible Hulk. Mark Ruffalo, I felt like, never did. I feel like he put in as little energy as he could.
Aside from the actors, the portrayal we got in this movie was of an intelligent and cautious Bruce Banner who understood his limitations, which we see him working on consistently. The one we got in the avengers movies was a Bruce Banner who was seemingly pissed off to have the hulk in him, and then the directors just didn't know what to do with him beyond that. And they got into the habit of developing him offscreen. I also don't understand why they never gave him any solo movies this entire time.

So, the Marvel Short "The Consultant" reveals that Tony Stark wasn't there to recruit the Hulk--he was sent there to recruit the Abomination, per the World Council's request. Only, Nick Fury didn't want to recruit the Abomination, so he ended up sending Tony Stark, so that Tony would annoy Ross to the point where Ross would never allow the Abomination to be released--which is why Hulk is still completely removed from everything in the Avengers.

The fact that because of the universal rights, hulk doesn’t even have all his abilities in the mcu, they literally removed his healing factor from the mcu and his healing factor is literally faster then if not tied with Wolverines, the madder he gets the stronger he gets we literally only see that around 3 times throughout the whole the mcu, the final round in this movie when he’s fight abomination, when he fights Ironman, and when he fought thor in ragnarok (correct me if I’m wrong though) I’m so glad the universal rights end next year then we finally might even get a world war hulk movie since she hulk has been teasing at it
Edit: best character origin story? I wouldn’t classify them as the best but my personal favorite origin stories come from hulk Spider-Man and captain (my opinion)
And since the guy who played general Ross passed away (rip) they’ll most likely replace him with abomination in thunderbolts and the guy with the big head you were talking about he name is the leader
