This is also known as Dickert’s Pond. Great to see that it’s stocked with channels. Tales of the “big one” is probably an illegal transplant or flood hold over. Just a reminder, always do as Capt. Joe does here and don’t keep any fish. This is a monitored catch-and-release pond only.

dwight10331 I fished out of Brookings Oregon a few times on a charter boat . One time while doing so I got spurred by a Black Rockfish. It pretty darn bad . There was an Oregon fishery biologist on the boat that day . He told me I heard if you cut open the eyeball of the fish and rub it on it that it would stop hurting significantly. So since I was keeping the fish anyways I tried it. I tell you what it worked awesome. It made a wasp sting type pain go away within 2 minutes. No joke ! So I will more than likely try your idea if ever poked by a catfish in the future . Thanks
Why dont ya come make a little trek to the Kimball Park pond! You can catch anything from some low dbl digit cats, bass upwards of 5lb, gar, decent size carp, and theres a bowfin in it as well, which i have caught several yrs ago. Id love to do a subscriber trip down there with ya.
I’ll say this, I may have accidentally created some kind of hybrid worm, I threw in a batch of left over night crawlers and assorted worms into my compost bin, I already had worms that are specific to composting in the bin, about a month later I noticed these peculiar looking bright pink/purplish worms I’d never seen before (hybridized I guess) anyway, I took a few to the local canal and the cats were snapping them up like party favors. Idk what it is about them, only the fish know I guess, but I’m thinking about experimenting more to see if what I did actually resulted in some kind of hybrid. If not, .39 cents a pound isn’t much of a waste.

Awesome video I've had pretty good success catching fish with nightcrawlers especially catfish and bluegills and bass and carp and crappie I caught a 2.71 lb channel catfish out of Buckeye Lake at Fairfield Beach in Buckeye Lake Ohio last year on a chicken liver and it was the biggest fish I ever caught in my life here in 2021 I'm hoping to catch my first big fish of the year and possibly something even bigger wish me luck
