Always new about that first style for smaller style fish but had no idea until now there are other styles to hook a worm for other bigger fish. I will be trying that next time I go out and add it to my arsenal of baits.
@@jacobstarr9010 I agree! everyone thinks the bigger hooks will get more hits, but the bigger the hook, the easier it is for the fish to see it and easier for them to nibble off the bait

That’s funny! I was dictating this because I’m actually driving with an earbud in my ear I’m actually driving back from fishing all day. And I see how the algorithm cannot understand my southern accent very well. I said I was subscribed to you already, and I turned on notifications today!🤪🤪🤪
I was already subscribe to you, but I hadn’t turned on notifications. So I turn on notifications today. I do have an exception about the baiting the hook worm for panfish I don’t put near that much on there and I catch the panfish. they don’t steal as much meat, so its just an alternative way and I would put maybe a third of that worm on the fishhook and I’m gonna catch the fish anyway.
Has anyone tried burying the hook point at the end in order to snag weeds a little less? I imagine a hookset would poke the point through the side of the worm no problem regardless. Nice vid!
Hey Ivo, would you please explain the setup for the bug game in this video? I notice a sinker in the bottom and hook diving in the middle of the line. Am.i right m
I'm a beginner (started years back but stopped and I didn't have the internet back then) now I'm lost. Thanks at least I won't for this. Do someone know a very good and simple website where o could learn? Every time I ask something on Google I got 20 things looking out not even answering my questions Thanks.
Good morning Mr! Very good videos st, l have a question for you, sometimes when l go fishing l have problems with my line, it tangles a lot, what would be the best way to set up a fishing line? Thank you, blessings.
Soak mono in water for a week before you use it and that will take out most the memory. That's a tip from Richard Gene the Fishing Machine. Look him up.
As someone said, soak your spool in warm water for a bit. You'll also want to make sure you're spooling your reel correctly, you can search RUclips to find what you're working with. And you might also benefit from a barrel or snap swivel, depending on your tactics.
You need to ask more specific questions when talking about line twist. 1. What type of reel? Size? Spinning, size 30 2. What pound Line and type. 6lb, 10, 25 lbs, Mono, floro, braid 3. What is your setup? Trolling a spoon. You will get a much more precise answer hopefully. Some 101 for you on line twist. 1. Use a swivel on spoons and any lures that may rotate in complete circles. 2. Using a super heavy line on a small reel especially a spinning reel may cause line coiling or excess memory that is sometimes mistaken for line twist. Check reel for recommended line to use. 3. Something old, something new - Line twist happens to even the pros at some point. Sometimes you just need to respool and start over. Pros don't waste time doing the same thing and getting the same results. Not the true pros.
Do you always fish live worms with a bobber/float? If not, what are other methods to fish live worms on a rod and reel? What about catfish that are deep on the bottom?
you can fish worms right on the bottom for catfish - here is a video we did, sharing some tips - hope you enjoy it: ruclips.net/video/E1Ub5NB2gm4/видео.html
I would like to know which lb line to use when using worms and also, what size/type weights if any. Lastly, if using a ball float, do we use a weight then? Sorry, for not knowing the proper terminology. I’m just a lady that wants to learn to fish with worms. Lol
the lb test line will depend on what you are fishing for, but a general all purpose one would be 8 or 10 lb. For the sinker weight, that also depends, but again, in general, a 1/2 or 3/4 oz sinker will work. As for using a ball float (i.e. bobber), you can use small split shots on your line to help keep your bait down, or you can use them with out any weight at all. here's a video that may help as I show you my rig ruclips.net/video/W0v-NBcudZI/видео.html Glad to hear you want to learn and you may find other videos on our channel that could help you - good luck on the water
Do you think Octopus hook is better than circle hook? I lost many fish using circle hook most specially catfish.. by the way what size of octpus hook you using when rigging worm? Thanks and god bless.. 🙂
I like worms a lot but they are so easy to fall off of a hook. I like really small hooks and wrap the worm every other time I hook it through the hook.
Just how a video should be ! No 2 min fancy intro. Straight to the point ! And Thank you for the great info !
Exactly
Truth, hate these guys who try to be Casey Neistat
I also hate the fancy intros.
And Ivo doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. lol
I owe you my gratitude. Caught it within 2 mins
He looks like a kind Red Foreman... Great advice n tips
He’s going to put his foot up some fishes ass..
Every time he hooks a fish he probably laughs and calls it a dumbass LOL
me and my son have really bonded fishing, thanks for the info on wormin our hooks!
I’ve fished with worms as a kid, and now with my grand daughters. Great tips, thanks!
Makes a lot of sense. I’ll revise my worm hooking technique and give it a try! Thanks Evo!
Well thank you for everything and god bless you

Awesome tips! I love how you described what each fish size would be more attracted to the presentation of the worm on the hook.
Wow! I love fishing with worms and the closest one I ever did was number one. Thank you sooooooo much. I really needed the finesse.
you have inspired me to get back out there and worm fish. cheers mate.

Thanks for sharing these tips.
I'm so happy to see this video, the worm is timeless bait!
Wow great video can’t wait to try this technique
This advice put me on some fish! Thanks sir!
Wow...never knew this. Thanks will try it
All these methods and panfish still rob me.
I thought the same exact thing!
That was me until I got smaller hooks. Once I got smaller hooks I was getting catches on every cast fishing for sunfish.

@@glitch_nyspy3756 be careful also. One thing I didn’t mention is the trade-off of using a smaller hook: it’s more likely to be swallowed.
Hello IVO - Thank's for these three ( 3 ) good worm tips -
I always wondered why they recommend long shank hooks for bream. First time I’ve heard it explained.
Great video. Do you use a float for any of the worms?
yes - you can use a float if you want :)
I always wanted to know about different hooks and there type of uses. Thanks Thundermist and for all the wonderful product and tips
this is a good video-well thought out and easy to follow with a lot of simple information for us-thanks

Salute from Brazil! Congratulations for The Nice vídeos! Did you ever try worms in salt water?
yes - worms work good in salt water as well :)
I put a nugget on the end for the big hooks when looking for catfish it filters out the carp as well
Thank you so much for the video it helped me used live bait for the first time.
Nice, showing. thank you.
Did you ever use a worm rigging needle? You can thread the whole worm up the line.
I have used one, but it has been years
I use one all the time they work great. Been using one for years.
thanks for the tip, i will try them
Thank you!! Very helpful!
This was amazing
Thanks for the video in the advice
Man this is a great video. No fluff and gold advice. Thanks

Hi, which is better to catch fish - freshly dug out earthworms OR keeping for some days after digging out?
The freshly caught ones might be more lively but otherwise there would not be a difference

Thanks for this! is a leader and snap or swivel needed for worm fishing?

What is the best size hook 🪝 to use for fishing 🎣 in pond and lake.
depends what you are fishing for, but as a general rule, you can use a size 4 hook :)
Good info, thanks!
Awesome! Id like to know what kind of rigs you use , as in weights? Or how you set up your weight and hook?
...check out the pre-tied T-Turn bait rigs - they are already rigged and you will be able to see how, and for different species as well :)

Do you have a follow up video on how to correctly set up sinkers and floats with live worms?
not yet - if we get a chance, we will

Thanks so much! I’ve always wished I could rig up a worm without having my dad to do it or struggling myself lol! Thank you once again👍
well done!
Gonna try the 2nd one. I've been losing my bait alot

There is a cheap tool called a worm threader. Check it out!

that's fantastic!!!
Thank u sir🥰
amazing, thank you
This worked perfectly thanks. Had four rainbow trout bite my line
I had so many rainbow trout bite my line
Just wondering if there is any advantage to using European night crawlers instead of Canadian night crawlers?
...not sure there would be any advantage.....
The first method with no wieght and light line drifted in light current is absolutely killer for trout and salmon
