My grandma has a pond on her farm land and there's a bluegill spawn right on the side when you first enter and every year we catch 50-60 bluegill, gather family and have a fish fry Georgian style 😎

I personally love catching sunfish. They fight hard for their size, they eat anything, and they have some really beautiful colors.
Longear and pumpkinseeds are the coolest
They tend to be infested with the yellow grub parasite where I live. I stopped keeping them for that very reason
I like catching cat fish there very very strong
They are really a blast to catch, even if they’re too small to eat. I love going after smaller bass too, they fight ferociously
