I am in awe of the dedication required to put this kind of guide together. Seriously impressive work and that’s coming from someone jumping into the genre with this game so like, I *barely* understand how you event went about learning all the characters this quickly.
I would recommend still looking up specific char guides from other ppl after watching this vid as there are some things he did not know/got slightly wrong. E.g. at the start he mentioned Jin f4 on counter hit does not give a 'long stun', whereas in fact its even easier to get a full combo off that move than before

Personally, I lay claim to noticing when people say "bereft" when they actually mean "devoid" and when they use "catch-22" improperly when they likely mean something like "between a rock and a hard place" or "dammed if you do, dammed if you don't". I am liking Jun's style. My first Tekken was T7, so this is my first time playing her and she has quite a few moves that are similar to Aoi from VF, which used to be my main 3D fighting game. I guess I just like Aikijujutsu stuff. It looks elegant and feels nice to play.

I feel like Alisa is so much more than just chainsaws. She's become my accidental main due to how unpredictable her attacks can be. Between the long pokes, range attacks, head moves (which are amazing), and her ability to activate her chainsaws in a move set (also as a heat engager), I've been able to keep people guessing. And when the chainsaws are out, the pressure can really build. But I'm also just a casual player, so I'm sure there are better characters. Thanks for this informative video!

That was awesome. I did x1.25 it up but rewatched some characters. As an absolute beginner (if we forget everything since tekken4), the time investment was worth it! Still, I couldn't decide yet but I was able to cut down 26 Characters. You my sir have yourself deserved a new subscriber :)

I've been very hesitant to look at unfamiliar tekken content creators, just because my recommended feed is so obscenely full of tekken stuff already. But I left a comment on a video about choosing mains about how there's very rarely any videos breaking down general game plans of each character. Someone replied that I should check out this video, and man oh man am I happy I did, this is the gold standard for choosing a main as far as I'm concerned. Good stuff, man!

Ngl, Leo has been my favourite character ever since she was introduced, and I don't see it changing anytime soon. Also singlehandedly responsible for introducing and making me love bajiquan. But it's fun how easy it is to pick up different characters in this series. This makes it one of my favourite fighting games on its own, right behind Dead or Alive.
Getting into tekken for the first time and I knew immediately which RUclips channel I was hitting up first. This guide is AMAZING and I’m going to watch the whole thing, even if over half the cast doesn’t seem super interesting. I mean.. Why would you wanna play as any other character than a BEAR!?

I know I sometimes have a good idea of which character to play with when I jump into a game, but Tekken is one series I'm diving back into after so many years, and one where it feels like you can have a viable choice regardless of whoever you pick. Definitely going to take my time and watch this to know which character I should consider. Just finished the story mode, and that was a fun first taste of things to come.
This was such a well made overview compared to a certain Tekken content that tried to attempt this recently 😂. Like, actually explaining each character without inserting any silly bias or ranting.

I've been waiting on this my man I actually own every fighting game made since 2011 I haven't been playing that long actually only about 6years of play I dropped fighters in the mid 90's got back in around 2017 and been getting every fighter since old and new PC and console and your guides are the best I couldn't wait til you dropped this guide thanks for the hard work and making it look easy

Tekken characters barely change from game to game. Legacy skill exists in tekken.

I know I sometimes have a good idea of which character to play with when I jump into a game, but Tekken is one series I'm diving back into after so many years, and one where it feels like you can have a viable choice regardless of whoever you pick.
Definitely going to take my time and watch this to know which character I should consider. Just finished the story mode, and that was a fun first taste of things to come.

There is many imitators, and when they imitate they always do it in a weak and lazy way. There's no substitute for the rooflemonger

I've been waiting on this my man I actually own every fighting game made since 2011 I haven't been playing that long actually only about 6years of play I dropped fighters in the mid 90's got back in around 2017 and been getting every fighter since old and new PC and console and your guides are the best I couldn't wait til you dropped this guide thanks for the hard work and making it look easy
