- Welcome back to some more Dragon's Dogma 2. For this video I wanted to show some archer gameplay. As you can see it can be very powerful and a lot of fun. I've been enjoying this game a lot and I'm looking forward to trying more of the classes out soon. Let me know if you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching :D

This game seems like everything I've always wanted, It's a single player, no multiplayer , no invasions and lot's of replayability.
Not really repayable as you can only have one character and there is no way to delete your character and start over.
@@amysteriousviewer3772 im kinda sick seeing this kind of comment now, there IS a NG+ and your level cap is 999. so it DOES provide replayability

Yeah but I kinda miss the Strider class from the first game were it was Thief mixed with Archer.

Going from a vocation like Fighter to Archer makes it feel like a completely different game, I love that about this game. Was annoyed at first when they separated daggers and bows but I can see the appeal now.

I had a feeling Swifty would be playing the more agile classes like archer or thief. I think you should definitely try a warfarer build with bow and daggers like it was with the strider class in the first game.
The only archer vocation I respect. The one who actually needs to aim.
not really you can play archer without aiming becuz it autoaims for you
@@andyroland83 No it doesn't. The arrows have generous hitboxes, but if you want to hit enemy weakspots, you can't just spam the attack button. You have to aim at them. I'm not saying it's hard, Archer is probably the best/easiest class in the game for damage, but what you said is just objectively false.
@@InfamousTubread it again what i said plz. i said you can play without aim i didnt say you have to. but yeah to hit headshots and all the weakspots off course you have to aim.

how did you fix the awful mouse accel and buffering
When the cyclops falls forward onto its knees, you can push the elbows to make it fall flat. This will get you the best damage when he falls down flat
Also, when he stumbles then sits down, you can use a charged deathly shot to knock his head backwards into the ground.
Question, havent played this myself, are the animations on for example that eagle-foe always that choppy? And does anyone know the specs on this pc?
The Griffin's animations were choppy because the Archer was using the "spiral arrow" skill which lodges itself in the Griffin and then repeatedly applies hits. Because the arrows were lodged in the griffin's weakspot, the game kept applying hitstop for each tick of damage which just makes it look choppy as long as the arrow kept drilling there.
I played archer the first time and I never got what the signal is for deathly arrow to fire sometimes I launched it perfectlly by anticipating when the whit glow will blip so I can release at the same time, warrior on the other hand has like a second in which you can release and get the yellow blip with extra damage

Bro didn’t even do any of the stylish jump kick bow hits, or running jumping rolls. It got me a sec to get used to playing archer but man sometimes they can look cool.
I can’t wait for a hard mode to be added, that’s my biggest complaint with the game honestly. A hard mode would make it endlessly engaging

if they add a hard mode i hope it isn't just turning enemies into damage sponges. a good hard mode should be enemy AI that is relentless in using its movesets to beat the shit out of you
@k3stea451 thats exactly what it did in the first game more health and damage dealt , you get more loot tho like gold and rc
@@Mrz_gotban enemies are already pretty smart, (knackers gank nightmare) the issue is damage scaling, we need to git gud

Really nice gameplay, but this kind of highlights my main problem with DD2: Difficulty balance
I was in a sweet spot where most monsters were challenging me for the first 6-8 hours or so, now I've leveled up, gotten better, geared up, and nothing but drakes pose a big threat (but drakes are definitely tough as hell). I didn't look up guides or anything... it just feels like you get overpowered way too quickly.
You must have not faced a dullahan yet, they are way harder than drakes, but way rarer.
@@Sarcasticjab It's a really cool boss too. Too bad it's not often you find it unless you get a the hidden ending
go solo oor just one pawn, use shittier gear
@@botero01 I've thought about doing that, but I hate when games force you to handicap yourself artificially, especially when it means disengaging from one of the core mechanics.
It'd be one thing if I was in NG+ looking for an extra challenge; I'm not even halfway through the game, and I'm forced to artificially manipulate the difficulty to have fun
@@Sarcasticjab I'm sure that's a fun fight; idk how many more goblins, saurians, harpies, and trolls I can take to get there when they die in 2 hits but do zero damage to me

Aye is the performance bad on your pc? I have a 4090 it’s barely can get a constant 60.
Are you doing 4k or 1440? I'm getting a stable 80-90 fps outside of cities on 1440 with a 3080 on ultra settings
@@RyanHDo No sir. I’m doing 2k n barely getting constant 60 until I downloaded this mod on nexus. Now I’m getting 100+.
It’s cpu not gpu. If you have a cpu that’s over $550 you won’t have stuttering p much. There’s a lot of cpu bottlenecking going on from what I’ve read. Mods can help as well. Devs are also trying to work on it. Other devs said the engine wasn’t made to have high density npc populated areas and the cities or high enemy count fights cause most of the stuttering because of the load being put on the cpu not the gpu

its not a gpu heavy game so you dont need that good of a graphics card but it is a heavy CPU game so get one that's good and you will be fine. alot of people keep complaining that they have a 4090 GPU but the GPU DOES NOT MATTER THAT MUCH it's a CPU heavy game

Fighter is cool I started with fighter but dps of archer is actually insane
I soloed the minotaur in 13 seconds without the help of pawns using thief at level 30
That's a game design problem right there, them saying this game is going to be harder the Dragon's Dogma Dark Arison makes me laugh so hard. It's so freaking easy. Hope they add a HARD mode soon together with a new DLC where we raid the big dungeon again. That wil be fun. This adaptive dificulty setting isnt working for me and for maney others aswel..

Explosion arrow plus heavenly shot cost every bit of stamina both go off same time does barely half of health bar… 😢 where you can double whirling shot into torrent and take off 2-3 health bars or more if in down state 😂 the archer maister skill is so bad it’s sad.. love archer gameplay though 😂 might aswell been trickster here pawns killed him so fast while you were loading up the arrows to shoot … soon as smoke bomb dropped they just started melting their health

watching a video is different to playing, when you're fighting shit in game you don't take any notice of the pawns

How long did you play it for? I didn't like it at first, no lock on felt weird, no dodge even weirder... but after getting used to it I love it now. It's just very different

@@SonsOfDeForest Agree, its kinda easy. But u can make it harder by for example playing with no pawns at all (or only your main pawn). But it's stil very easy. Hope they change this soon!
