Yes, I prefer using the DJI RC2 remote with the NEO. Although it was marketed as a drone that does not need a remote, if I wanted to explore, I needed the remote or my phone. I much prefer using a remote vs. my phone. I'm sure, at some point, I'll use it as a tag-along drone. ☺
