Yes, we have a lot of birds that hang around our property. We have a lot that attracts them, so I am thankful. I have done more over the past few years to make it bird-friendly. I have pruned less with some of my bushes. Which gives the birds even more protection/shelter. I've added additional plants to attract even more of a variety to our property as well.

Mr. Red Belly will do that repeatedly; he looks straight into the camera. He's always good for a laugh. He brings chaos and comedy. The doves look innocent; however, there's a pair that is even worse than Mr. Red Belly. They will monopolize that feeder several times throughout the day.

Thanks so much for your kind comment. Yes, it's definitely a peaceful paradise for the birds. We have a variety of fruit and nut trees on the property, a variety of seeds from various plants that grow naturally, and, of course, insects. It gives the birds plenty of choices. Some bird species rarely visit the feeder and prefer what's available around the property. I appreciate the birds that pop by the Birdcam feeders because I get to see them in a way I usually would not, and I'm able to share that with others. Initially, I would occasionally share with family and friends; however, I thought that I'd just upload the videos online. You're right; taking the time to enjoy life, even the little things, is so important. Thanks again for stopping by!

They are a joy to watch. Oh my goodness, dealing with hoarding neighbors who caused the mess to spill over onto your beautiful property had to be annoying. I can understand the frustration there. @@MyOutdoorWildlife I have a wildlife cam in never set up. Now I'm afraid of what I'll see out there at night! 🤭 Yes inclement weather Is when they all seem to come looking for me for food too. Love wet birds! Winter I will feed them more but for now I'm trying to deter .... but my special sweeties are still with me.

@@Cosmogirl014 I'm sure you'd capture some exciting footage at night in your peaceful haven. It's interesting to see how the other half lives while most of us sleep. It gives me more appreciation for the raccoons. If I set it up in the woods, I'd see more activity, and it's something I might do at some point. Yes, winter is when I mainly fed the birds, with consistency, and that all changed this year as I was racking my brain and trying to think of ways to de-stress. The challenge was that I needed to identify something as stressful. I kept it moving regardless; however, my body sometimes gave me subtle queues. My crafts helped a lot; however, there still needed to be a gap, and setting up the birdcam feeders, which caused me to use my video editing software, was the missing piece. The missing piece was viewing the beauty of the wildlife in my area while actively learning a program (in a fun way). It helped me decompress even though I wasn't viewing certain aspects of my life as stressful. That being said, I plan to do some slow crafting this weekend, including knitting. I find the soft clinking of my (chiaGoo or HiyaHiya) knitting needles very satisfying as I work on a project. Well... I was long-winded with that response. ☺

I also had to laugh at that when I was reviewing the video last evening. The red-winged woodpecker is a bit territorial. I'm sure the other birds were trying to figure out if eating was safe. 🤣

Thanks! We do get a lot. That's only a tiny portion of what the video camera records daily; easily, over 100 short videos are uploaded daily.

That’s the garden bed that I let it have. The french lavender is on one side which it will not touch. I’m very happy about that! 😄The other side is purslane. Which it will happily eat and mullein (more food it will not touch🤣) and something else that I cannot remember

I would love to go outside when I get the alert from the trailcam. The Raccoon family has been passing through at a later time, 5:30 a.m. I’m usually awake by that time. I’ll wait until the weekend when I’m off; hopefully, I can catch them on video without scaring them.
