This movie is like one of the anthems of the best years of my childhood. I was 9 in 1989. I never saw this movie in the theater but when it was released in 1990 on the movie channels, I watched it soooo many freaking times. The early 1990s were seriously some of the best years of my life. A very big part of me wishes I could go back to those years and Weekend at Bernie’s always reminds me of those amazing times.
I love this movie since I was like 12. Used to watch it terribly often. And I am still laughing my ass off just watching this trailer. Darn, I miss these late 80s/early 90s movies...
WOW, this movie is referenced in Friends, How i met your mother, The office, Bojack Horseman, Sienfield, Glee, Rick and Morty, Two and a half men, the good place, the Simpsons, community, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and in regular show.
Classic comedy. Watched this hundreds of times as a kid when it came out on video. One of those movies that puts a smile on my face every time I see it.
I allways asked myself how this this thing with comments, thumbs up&down works....cause it could not be better said "underrated comment". Maybe they count in a different way...
I just finished watching this movie for the first time. When I finally found out he was dead at the end of the movie, I was so creeped out. This was a lot like Sixth Sense.
+jasmine elaya you "found out" at the end of the movie.... tahts only possible if watched just the end only. otherwise... girl lay off the hard stuff u cant handle it apparently
Brings back great memories as a kid. This was a great time for movies! Also, you always saw the trailer of new movies first in the theater. So when you saw a good one, you went home and immediately called your friends and talked about them.
Students dress in 80s clothing now, and there are 80s themed tv shows. But nothing will EVER beat living in the 80s experiencing these films, it was a magical time.
It was a Golden Age in entertainment: movies, TV, music, video games - arguably fashion and design, too. Never realized it at the time. Never thought it would end. Magic indeed.
Every generation does this. Fashion and trends are cyclical while new elements are being added and things slowly altered. 80s clothing was more popular in the 2006-2013 or so period, now it’s mostly 90s clothes people are wearing
@@johnpeters7073Its actually recently changed over to early 2000s. I dont follow fashion so I asked my gf and she said that's what's in currently. I guess your statement was right 😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was just talking to someone that lives there and told me that, so I remembered the movie and decided to watch the trailer. Funny, how things happen.
When I was a little kid, my mom has this movie on DVD and we had a DVD player so I ended up watching this movie like a million times. It’d be cool to see it again though.
I'm here because an acquaintance got incredibly drunk at our party the other night and while tending to her completely dead weight body - all I could think of was this movie (from my childhood lol) Still funny

Johnny Cage Reddit the office video -> rick and morty "two brothers" video link in the comments -> rick and morty "weekend at dead cat lady's house II" video -> this trailer. And thats how I got here. you?
Watching this trailer has reminded me I never paid that $3 fee for not rewinding the VHS copy of this movie after I returned it to Blockbuster Video... I sure hope that hasn't effected my credit score all these years. ha
They actually charged you for not rewinding? Never heard of that before, sometimes you just got unlucky and had to rewind yourself. Either way Blockbuster was stupid overpriced once they put all the local stores out of business.
I kid you not, after the debate, this was the first option on the Google drop-down menu after you typed "we" 🤣🤣🤣🤣You have to either laugh or weep. I choose to laugh.
I never heard of this movie until people started referencing it being like Biden, for some reason I was expecting it to be a movie about Bernie Sanders? But this is so much better.
I remember seeing it in the theatres also. I must of been like 6 or 7 i remember going to the movies a lot when I was a kid and the last remaining drive in a lot too..
Me after considering the plot for a few moments: oh wait the plot is more or less these two dragging around a corpse all over the place. *I almost feel like it gets more morbid the more I think about it*
Why does my memory of this trailer seem so fresh when I was only a one year old at its release date? I also feel like I saw this in the movie theater, but no way my memory is that good. Some things can't be explained I suppose, but a great movie no less.
I saw this movie in the tenth grade in 1989. watched it again last night on comedy channel and was cracking up. I forgot how funny this movie was. classic!
michael smith that’s cool. My mom was 19 going on 20. This movie came out 4 months before her 20th birthday and it came out 3 months after my dad turned 23. So he was my age when this came out
I remember seeing Terry Kiser in a show called "Hill Street Blues" a police show where he played a character who was a comedian that couldn't get a job because he was born with the name Adolph Hitler. I never forgot that and instantly recognized him when I first saw this movie! Top 10 movie!!
