The better team doesn't always win but the one that takes their chances does. This is what Barca players need to understand in order to progress from a domestic best to a continental one.
Real dominated clearly the second half while Barcelona had chances in the first half only cause they scored fast and Real was trying to score while they were just waiting.
The changes completely swapped to momentum. Ferran and fermin brought the interchangeable flexibility with ball movement and bit of pace. Lewa doesnt allow that nor defend. hes a target man so the whole flexibility vanished allowing madrid to dominate the ball instead and turn the game. This made barca drop deeper allowing their snipers to rain shots on goal and overload.
It’s a conundrum. If Xavi let the players remain on the pitch and they get injured due to exhaustion (which they already are based on the drop in intensity), then it would be a bigger crisis dealing the next few games. Especially since Pedri and FDJ are still not 100%. The issue is still depth in quality that is lacking due to injuries.
I said it before we bought him said it all last season lewa doesnt help our team, sure goals help but he also makes our team feel 1 man down not to add he is supposed to be an example for the players but he doesnt know modern football and constantly fucks our plays
@@Trihurt11 that's partially true, he helps only a little. However last season he scored some important goals. I remember Valencia, Mallorca games. He should anyway retrieve his stats of last year to deserve his place and compensate for his lack of collective work
Felix Fermin and ferran miss chances early on, then can’t get any shots on target in the second half, lewa isn’t contributing anything, he at least has to shoot and hold off defenders , our midfield is coping the best they can, and our defense was solid but unlucky, balde needs to get more involved though
lewandowski just doesn't fit the style he is absolutely horrible with his back to goal plus he cannot exchange those quick one twos idk why xavi insists on doing that just keep lewa in the box man
I think the biggest Blunder by Xavi that you didn't mention here is Change in personel: -Gavi at DM gave the whole midfield composure, mainly at winning balls but 2nd half Xavi decided to shift Gavi to advanced mid. This was the primary reason Madrid started having much of the ball at our own half. -Gundo was mainly our Creative midfielder. When Xavi put Romeu on, instead of Pushing Gundo to advanced mid where he will create more chances, he instead let him remain at DM where he is not effective at winning us Balls. - Romeu is not a pressing machine like Gavi, he is slow. What Xavi should have done is Pair Romeu and Gavi at DM instead of Romeu and Gundo. -The other thing is Lewandowski. He was not needed at all especially when he keeps playing at winger and midfield (In the so called name of Dropping deep). He is always nowhere to be found when there's balls in the Box. Why did we buy him in the first place if he is not going to be our 9?
@hamzik2255 Absolutely, Yamal struggles on LW its not his natural Position, yet Xavi in the biggest Game decides to deploy him there. Yamal would have made a difference Had he been played on RW
- Barca on the first half seems and on the first 10 minutes of the second half seems to be the team to win it 3-0 and wrap it - But then Ancelloti make the right changes , Joselu , Camavinga and Modric change the whole dynamic of the game. - Joselu been strong and tall , he would win balls and making both Martinez and Christensen on him , Modric gave a lot more life to Madrid midfield and have a better control on both back line and up line , and Camavinga was there on the left side covering for Vinicius and at the same time joining the midfield , making it into a 5 midfield madrid with 3 defenders and 2 attackers. - Also Xavi did not put the "correct" subs , Romeu for Fermin Lopez "due to having a yellow card" and Lewandowski for Ferran , whose a more static player rather than Ferran who goes to the midfield to help out , it would make Barca a lot more vulnerable and slower. - Subbing off Cancelo was also not the correct play , since Cancelo was bombing down the wing and even if Fermin or Raphina comes in , Cancelo have showned many times that he can played in the midfield position and can be a support to Araujo if he plays closer on that area. - Overall , Xavi have the correct line up and the correct tactics on the first half but did not adapt well to the tactics and changes that Ancelloti did on the second half. It is true that Barca have a lot of key players injured like Kounde , Pedri and De Jong , but thats not an excuse , Barca should always strive to win no matter whose on the pitch
I agree with you, I was surprised, Cancelo was he first player I saw to dribble Camavinga again and again - and right away Xavi subbed him, there is no excuse for that.
Remember the players aren’t robots, Cancelo played allloot of minutes so far and started out playing Rw/rb.. Xavi couldn’t risk him… so he had to be subbed out, Fermin was tired as well and had a card, the only problem with xavis subs were Ferran and yamal on the Rw. Romeu is the player we look to in the squad for defensive cover and we were leading. Ferran should’ve gone to the left and yamal on in the RW. All in all he did the right thing for the most part but it just didn’t work as the first goal was an error on Ter Stegen and the second Romeu lost his marker
@@lee-nationtv6954 I would give more merit to Bellingham on his banger. He position himself correctly and bang it , sure Ter Stegen could have stop it but it was a very good shot. Also Romeu did not give much to the team. He is not agile or fast , and haev difficulties with Madrid press and was losing too many balls. Also he did not win loose balls. Romeu is a player that can hold it down against defensive teams like Mallorca or maybe to some point Atletico but against physical teams like Madrid , its very tough for him. If anything , Xavi was better off putting a wonder kid like he did vs Athletic Bilbao lmao
@@henryreturns1397 you must be crazy…put on an attacker to defend a lead… the shit was good but it was an effort that should’ve been saved by the caliber of keeper Ter is. Fact is Xavi did the more plausible and sensible thing with putting on a defensive minded midfielder to compete with the fresh legs of RM in the middle, can’t fault him if they player didn’t do his job correctly.”
@@lee-nationtv6954you sound more like the crazy one. The result of the game shows that the approach he took was not correct. Xavi always talks about defending by keeping the ball. Why then would you put in a defensive midfielder who can't keep/recycle possession, when the team had already been under pressure for a few minutes? Romeu has shows in 2 consecutive games that he's too slow and can't keep up with runners, and on top of that he can't be trusted to keep possession. Xavi's tactics and changes in the 2nd half were poor, and cost us the game
As a Barça fan myself, I think that our playstyle changed due to fatigue and injuries. Xavi wants to play a different game where we have posession and high pressure, but he´s not dumb and it´s impossible to achieve it at this moment due to our situation, so his tactics revolves in pressing when our rivals pass the ball into the midfield. Sadly, Lewandoski and Rapinha couldn´t play Athletic´s or Shaktars´game in order to increase their options in el Clasico, so when he made the subs he knew that the changes were a gamble. One thing that surprised me is that, after Bellingham´s first goal, Madrid didn´t keep pressing more aggressive, like they always do when they are in this kind of epic comebacks, but they prefer to let Barça play and during that lasts 20 minutes both teams could score the winner. It´s hard to lose against our greatest rivals in extra time, but i feel satisfied of the way we played and I hate so much that we don´t convert the chances we have. Força Barça and good luck to Madrid in their upcoming matches!
Xavi says some absurd things. I remember when they lost to RM years ago when he was a player and he said “we lost but had more possession and the possession should count for something.” Score more goals than the opposition, thats the name of the game, not keep more possession.
@@stelixhyx808 it’s not nuance. You can create 100 chances and have 99 percent possession, but if the players can’t stuff the ball in the back of the net it doesn’t matter. Without Lewandowski or another world class striker they are a mediocre team. Only reason they are so high up the table is because Spain had a trash league.

It’s just the same issue recently, the team needs Lewandowski in moments where players like Ferran and Fermin are in the strike zone, but then they play him in a false 9 pressure position where he’s simply ineffective. The balance between pressing pressure and target finishing is delicate, if only Lewandowski was 5 years younger, this team would annihilate everyone
Ancelotti knew exactly what he was doing, shocked everyone started Mendy just to keep a somewhat solid defensive line and kroos for possession while the second half he made the change to start pressing to go win the game by bringing in Modric and Cama, while the Barca team was fatigued, Madrid came with full force and won it
Ancelotti planned absolutely nothing, He has always started the game wrong, he sucks at studiyng other teams but He is elite when it comes to game changes.
@@anasbenali4145 Lmao, crazy how Xavi and Ancelotti are opposites. Xavi can bring a decent plan against a team, but has no plan B and can't react to match properly. On the other hand, the italian may not be best tactitian from get go, but he reads the game soo well and knows how to react to pitch changes
lol, just cus belingham is the greatest player in the world now in it's PEAK form, you give credit to ancelotti? For this match? Bro ancelotti did nothing good or exceptional in this match, in fact barca played a more fine game. Belingham is just too damn good and that's the whole story and the whole thing that madrid has going on for it right now. They are basically an one man army. And that one man is NOT ancelotti...
I don't really believe in this "deserving" thing, unless you're massively screwed over by the ref, the only reason you don't win a game is either you, or your opponent, there is no being the better team, if you don't take advantage of your opportunities, that's your fault as a team, if the opponents goalkeeper saves them, that's thanks to him, you don't deserve to score just because you created a good chance and since you win by scoring you don't deserve to win either
Not really, sometimes luck is also a factor. For example, city is the best team in the world for at least 3 years now.. but only 1 time they won it. Truth is that sometimes you can have 100 chances and the ball simply won't go in the fucking net. Games need a little bit luck as well.
@@akhsdenlew1861 you completely missed the point, what I'm saying is, it's your fault if you don't use your chances so you're not the better team if you can't capitalise on your opportunities, saying it's luck devalues the skill neccessary to consistently score goals and is also very silly. If a team loses that means they were worse at scoring goals and since that's the only goal of the game, they were worse and football, stop making excusea
@@ryszardsikora6894 First of all, i didn't miss any point.. i am literally exactly INTO the point. Second, i don't devalue any skill here, you on the other hand devalue the luck factor VERY much. In order to win Trophies like CL, you NEED a little bit of luck, which city had this year.. that's why they won it. On the other hand, they had terrible luck the previous years. Inter also had insane luck for reaching the finals as well, they didn't play some amazing football or anything. They just avoid every good team ( city, bayern, liverpool, real madrid or even psg).. If they found City, real or bayern in the round of 16,8 or 4, they would've gone home earlier. How is that not luck? In knock out competitions in general luck plays a significant factor.. In legue games, things are different becouse it's not a sprint, it's a marathon.. but luck still plays a role in Derbies like this. Saying that this is 100% skill is pretty much saying that you don't understand football.
Not just subbing him , but subbing him for Romeu that did not bring anything to Barca. Losing balls on defense and was too slow to catch up his mark on Bellingham or Modric , and did not bring much things on Attack. Not saying Romeu is "bad" , its that physical teams like Madrid , City , Bayern and more would give him a very bad time.

Real are a team that is good at taking advantage of moments they don't really dominate games but they dominate moments which is quite effective in games like these and the champions league
I hate rhe "deserved to win" argument. Imo unless there were some refereeing mistakes, the deserving team always wins. Why? The "deserved to win" argument is always based on possession and chances created, completely ignoring the fact that entering the box doesn't end the attack, a shot does. Finishing is part of the game, the reason why strikers are some of the most valuable players throughout the history.
Exactly what I have been thinking. If you were not treated unfairly in a blatant way by the referee and still lost then you didn't deserve to win. If a team parks the bus for 90 minutes, have 10% possession, and end up winning by an Own Goal, then they DID deserve to win.
The facts are that football it’s about scoring goals period there is no secret science only those who think we play better for 60 minutes we deserve to win. Last time I check the games are 90 minutes plus.
It's so funny that barca fans can't just admit their defeat and keep talking about how they controlled the game and tackled and shit and how it was unfair that Real won xD
You can play bad and still win im not saying its unfair madrid won but its true barca were the dominant team for the most part but players like jude showing up when its important show why they played better at the end, Jude is a phenomenal player so its worth madrids money if he clutches out when they are disadvantaged
Barca didn’t deserve to win especially when they didn’t capitalise in the first half. Madrid took control in the second half and finished their chances via a player of a different class like Bellingham.
Barca deserved the loss simply by Xavi subbing in two already not so good performing players who just came back from injury, talking about Lewa and raphinha. Putting yamal on the left just wasted his skill and wasn’t worth it at all since raphinha just doesn’t produce. Putting in Lewa was the nail in the coffin, he doesn’t press well, slows our game down, doesn’t offer runs in behind. When he came on we gave the game away. That’s why we deserve the loss. Second half game management. Xavi bottled it
@@jstos3675 Fermin was playing and was gassed, That new striker played only 2 matches you gonna enroll him in a classico match already? Balde was on the field too. You only got Yamal on the bench!

This has been continuing for a long time. 2nd half disasterclass from barca ( vs Bayern, vs United, vs Inter, vs madrid a couple of times ) Xavi’s in-game managment has been shocking for big games.
Another great and informative video. I often feel like Barça is missing a player to sort pull the team together and many often point to Pedri or FDJ. Do you feel the same or do you think we gotta sign someone else to take that spot? If so, who would it be?
I always said that FDJ was their best player by far. He can play as DM but can reach the opponent's box easily. Pedri is OK but he just plays horizontally. Someone like Wirtz would be a nice addition to their lineup.
The loss was extremely painful it pissed me off when they refused to press in the second half and Romeo falling to mark jude right before the winner but the performance as a whole was encouraging
fantastic analysis! you're breaking it down and make it easy to follow and understand. some good takeaways for barca it's still early in the season hopefully xavi learns and adapts.
thank you for the analytics you always help us understand more about the football as a barca fan i was hunted all game by that fermin post shot and xavi’s substitutions hard luck culers💙❤️
It felt Barcelona were the better team in the first half and Xavi got his tactics right. But Real’s better players shone in the second half and Ancelotti is good at adapting, which showed in the second half. A draw could have been a fair result overall. Barcelona’s only goal was handed on a plate by Real on account of their mistakes. When they generated true chances they wasted them.
Xavi will keep saying this because he has to support his players after a loss. But people should realize that Carlo's Madrid is almost always like that, patient, reserved, reactive to opponent's weaknesses and always shifting gears later in the game. It's not luck because Madrid has always been playing on individual strengths. With Valverde, Modric, Tchouameni and Kroos they have elite ball striking midfield, yet people say equalizer was lucky. Bellingham has been doing those quick runs into box for 3 months now. In short, is it the first time Madrid won despite having less shots, conceding first nd opponent 'looking' better? Is it the second time? Or maybe it's the third season, and people should stop being crybabies.
No i think you underestimate the point of luck here... not in this match, but in every match.. lol this match is no proof that xavi messed up or ancelotti outplaying him. Belingham is just too good in his PEAK form, and this time it was enough..
@@akhsdenlew1861 luck is not a consistent and reliable resource, Madrid has been playing "lucky" for years, it's self contradiction to say they're lucky for so long. As for this match, Xavi had a better plan, but like he often does, Carlo had a better in game management. Xavi brought on Romeu and Romeu wasn't able to mark Jude for the second goal. But when Tchoumeni and Alaba blundered and conceded Gundo's goal I wasn't crying how unlucky it was, I thought they should do better, I didn't blame some kind of black magic luck potion.
@@cheangizzz luck is not black magic... lol Luck exists in everything we do, everyday. Gundo's goal also had luck factors in it... Every goal does. And no, real is not lucky consistantly. The only PURE Luck-based trophy they have, out of the MANY MANY MANY i watched them lift, is the 2022 Champios legue... NOTHING else. So how is this.. consistant? 9/10 times, real is the better team in the pitch....in 2022, they were not... Yet they won. But this is why we love football.. cus the best team doesn't always win. in 2023 on the other hand, they had no luck at all... and thus they got destroyed by a clearly superior opponent. It happens... lol Noone is crying here btw... But i find it funny that u simply don't accept the luck factor in football matches and u call it black magic 🤣🤣🤣
Barce fans are funny, they always mention how they have Lamessia and all their young talents are top. Fair play they didn't have Pedri and Dejong, well OK Madrid is actually playing without a nr:9 !! Their main keeper, one of the world's best and their most athletic CB are also injured. Barca football is beautiful as always but i laugh when they say they "Dominated" Real, I mean comeon anybody who watches Madrid game knows that being "Dominated" is their least concern as they don't tend to play "beautiful" they play to win. - Arsenal fan
The 2 teams were bad but The difference between barça and Real its that barça need to play good to win. Real doesnt need to play rly good this is the difference between these 2 club culture and Mentality.
That's no longer correct. Barca have learned to win "ugly games" since last year. There were many games were they played really bad and still squeezed a win out in the end. They are able to do it. Real Madrid just didn't let them do it this time.
@@gaoru you have to see it from all perspective ,barca was knocked from ucl by pretty ugly mistakes didnt really play good in any of the international competitions ,where they dominantly won the league ,its clear if they manage to make fields their comfort zone they're bound to win ,but making it their comfort zone is the hardest part ,and real is completely opposite in that case ,they,ll find ways to clutch through ,get outside their plan and steal wins
If you think a team deserves to win because they had more possession and more chances then what about the team that was more effective by scoring more in less post and less chances, they surely deserve the win in my dictionary
So what is the point of having teams play each other? Why is xavi and all Barca fans talking about what is deserved, rather than what the result is. This is football man. Cmon. Teams play each other to win. To prove that they are better when they get that win. (At least got the better of them). Casing point is, wether you like it or not, is that Madrid got the better of Barca. Enough with talking about a lucky tap in at the end… please, as if Gundogans goal didn’t have 2 lucky deflections that made the ball go right back to him. Think logically, not biased. I’ve never seen so many excuses in my entire life. Bunch of sore losers. Take the L, learn from it, be better. This is nothing new. Madrid is known for not panicking and making a comeback when they are down.. this isn’t luck. You don’t think barca players were thinking of all the iconic comebacks madrid have pulled off recently? They didn’t want to become another team that let Madrid make a crazy comeback. At the end you could tell, there was a shift, not just in tactics (favored Madrid of course) but also in the mind of the players. Barca clearly lost focus at the end and Madrid didn’t panic the whole time they were gone. This is also not talking about the referees missed pk call on araujo rugby tackling camavinga in the box, or the fact that gavi didn’t get booked once, especially after hitting Vini in the face when going up for a header. You guys are delusional. Face the facts. The fact is barca lost. Madrid won. The team that deserves the win is the one that went and claimed that W. If you want a participation metal than I’m sure la liga would be glad to give you one.
The entire season the players haven’t been able to adequately take advantage of chances. I really see no other major problem with the teams play than that fact
I dont think victory but a draw would have been the fair thing. We lost the match in the 2nd half when modric and Romeu entered. Fermin and Gavi did a great 1st half but they were already tires in the 2nd half so they werent as efective on the press and marking. Romeu is not as good on the ball. We lost midfield control and have to go on a Deeper block where Barcelona is not really strong at. I'm not dissapointed nor nervious tbh. With Pedri, FDJ and lewy fully fit I think we are way better and we played great in spite of lacking metronome players in the midfield.
Idk why almost no one talks about the players injured. Taking Fdj and Pedri from this team is the equivalent of taking Xavi and Iniesta from Guardiola´s Barca
The reality is simple. Barcelona has enough players to fight for everything (UCL, Liga, etc) under the right coach. I am starting to think that the real issue is the Xavi. When Felix and Cancelo arrived, in the few games, FCB was unpredictable. Felix played closer to Lewandowski, allowing a triangle to form with Balde on the left flank. Cancelo was very active in many areas of the pitch. And Raphina was on fire as he was deployed as almost an attacking midfielder. But then things changed, Lewy, Raphina got injured. Then FCB changed. Xavi came back to adopting his old tactics of deploying static wide wings that we know well enough just doesn't work even when DeJong is on the pitch, let along when he is out injured. We then have Felix struggling for form as he overlaps with Balde. Furthermore, Balde is still really young and quite one-dimensional. Also, Cancelo stopped doing what he used to do when first arrived, which was playing almost freely, probably at the order of Xavi. Then worst thing is during important games, Xavi used Araujo to progress the ball forward, which is definitely not his job. All in all, I think Xavi is lost. You can truly really see his lack of experience. The team doesn't have a spirit or character that defines it. And all of that after 2 years of building up his (Xavi's) team. At the end of this season, if no character and spirit is properly defined for the team, then I would strongly urge FCB to replace Xavi with another coach like that of Tottenham or Ten Hag.
Barca is lacking a creative midfielder. Pedri is the only one in that role. There is also no real winger like Mitoma or Kvaratshkhelia. Raphinha is not the kind of winger Barca needs.

Madrid had the luxury of subbing on Camavinga and Modric meanwhile our only available subs were players out of rhythm from being out with injuries and Oriol Romeu. Respect to Bellingham tho.
I hate the concept of a coach losing then saying they "deserved to win". If you deserved to win, you would have won. Stop crying about it, you sound like a 5 year old.
Barcelona thoroughly dominated for 60 minutes and had multiple chances to make it 2/3-0 that they missed, and they did this playing with several youngsters/missing half of their starting lineup to injury. And even then it took an absolute worldie from Bellingham and a very fortunate last minute tap-in winner to get Madrid the win. Once Barcelona is fully fit, they'll be just fine - looking forward to the second Clasico.
@@JR-Weh nah too early to say, madrid didn't cruise through this one too. Last min moment of luck is not what u call comfortable. Yes a W always changes perspective, their fans would be loosing it if they want 3-0 in 60 mins. I don't think both teams are much apart currently.
You are just speaking from a side. Madrid also had many injuries and issues. They lost their main goalkeeper (saviour of many occasions), main defender(militao), main striker (benzema), most anticipated signing(arta). While jude shining even playing out of position, you can’t say that same with vini. He’s not like Modern winger’s who can drop as striker ( mbappe, alvarez, rashford). You’re acting as though Real Madrid will play the same way. They’ll make adjustments too and come with a different game plan depending on what Barca players are hot. Real Madrid has a deeper squad
Winning a football match depends on 1 thing and 1 thing only, scoring more goals than your opponent. Could haves and should haves are in the past, we took our chances and won, all they won were moments hence Xavi is saying all that
No one's talking about the mobility ferran torres provides. which Lewa couldn't and thats what caused the momentum shift. even ferran torres was free inside the box most of the time but joap Félix and Joao cancelo were too selfish to pass him.
I'd say, there's no point in saying "we deserve" when the chances aren't converted...no matter the possession or chances, it's the scoreline that matters...fair to say,the Clasico should have ended 1-1
I love all these videos from 'tacticos youtubers' which basically all 'Culers' and always says Real Madrid 'undeserved' or just 'lucky' for the win. Admit that 1st half was disaster but the subs of Ancelotti were rrally game changer, Vini got gaps from Cama runs, Joselu help linking up with his wall passes, Modrid dancing dragging press, end up finally opening spaces where Jude exploited. 😅
No one says how in the second jude goal the overload caused by madrid's construction and positioning just created the whole chance. all barcelona defenders were man marking runs while madrid was able to dribble a bit and through a low cross and that's how you play direct football. Sometimes football isnt always about "finding space" but rather just putting your opponent under pressure and in 1 vs 1 situation and if that happens in the whole pitch either your team did a horrible defending or the attacking team had a clever tactic against you (modric and jude always attacking the half spaces and the 14 zone like any good midfielder or playmaker should).
to be honest, if we had frenkie or pedri, this game wouldnt be the same. Romeu didnt do his job (man marking jude). And Lewy and Raphinha were not really in shape. Full barça are 3 times better
Barca have only one goal poacher Lewa, but he is not at his best. So the important thing is to make more chances in the game , so that atleast 2-3 become a Goal .That's where they missed creative players like De Jong and Pedri. If Barca had atleast one of them real madrid would not have had a chance.
There is no such thing as some team should have won because they missed this many chances or so. Winning is winning. I would however say that Barça played much better than madrid. I wouldn’t be happy about this game if i were a madrid fan. Had Barça scored even one of those many early chances, the post game commentaries would have been totally different. Madrid cannot always rely on last minute genius moves by individual players. Apart from Bellingham, and even he was asleep for majority of the game, the rest were totally not on the level that day. Camavinga and kepa also did their best. So, Barça needs to have winner mentality and kill the games when they can, and madrid need to actually be dominant and stop relying only on individual prowess. Otherwise none of them will be able to dethrone man city.
I'm a Madrid fan I'm happy the way we played in the 2nd half Pushed u back counter pressed and everything Changes brought more intensity more intensity = more goals
Of course, I'm happy with the win. I expected Barca to throw the game away in the second half, and there's this belief that the team can turn it around. Bellingham may have struck the bullet, but I love how everyone on our team facilitated it. I see that losing an El Clasico does not upset the Barcelona fans anymore. In that case, on we move. Got big matches on the way!

Xavi is pathetically unable to accept reality that he and his team failed. Football is not about who deserves to win. Nor who has more possession. It's who has more goals at the end of 90 minutes. Los Blancos took their chances better and won. Note too that Barca's goal was not from a chance created but from an error by Tchouameini. He forgets that in football, it's who has more goals at the end, not who played better, nor who had the most possession, nor who had more chances created. It's goals, plain and simple. If you watched his post- match interviews, his face was full of disappointment bec of the loss, but also full of condescension towards Los Blancos. We beat his team, period. Compare his reaction to how Don Carlo reacts when we lose. Much more humility, taking responsibility, congratulating the winning team, yet still praising Real Madrid players for their good showing despite the loss. Worlds apart.
I never understand the whole we deserve to win just cause one team had all the possession and more chances but they don't take them a good example of this is man utd vs arsenal at old Trafford last season
The substitutions were not effective. We control the game for 60 mins. Once Modric and Joselu made their entry in the game, we moved back which energised them and we needed to play tactfully. I will praise Gavi for his aggressivity.
I don't agree with Your analisis, Barca did managed better the game even without the ball and defended really good which is uncommon, they could easily have finished the first half 3-0 if only have been patient in the counter attacks, RM did managed better the changes which turned around the game
If Madrid can count on Barcelona having half their outfield players out injured then they'll cruise to La Liga 😎 If not, I'd wager Barca won't continue their current trend of waning in the second half. FDJ + Pedri's return will be a godsend and hopefully Roque can push Lewy to be greater or outright take his place in the starting lineup. Raphinha transfer sadly looking like a bust. He was pitiful Saturday. Cannot score and is capable of some downright horrendous decision making.
Y E S. RM coasting on LUCK hard on that second goal. But hey, what can you do but take your chances wherever they come from, Barça fails every time to finish their chances. Ever since Suarez left we have been abysmal at creation-finishing. Lewa aside ofc.
I have a question: the statistics usually change when the game isn't tied? How do the statistics change? Shouldn't we analyse the game into parts separated by the winning team at the moment?
The better team doesn't always win but the one that takes their chances does. This is what Barca players need to understand in order to progress from a domestic best to a continental one.
The better team takes their changes.
The better team will react to changes on the field. This is what Xavi and Barcelona are lacking
True@@p-y8210
Real dominated clearly the second half while Barcelona had chances in the first half only cause they scored fast and Real was trying to score while they were just waiting.
@BIazyTrue, Man City played their worst game in the year in the UCL Final, tactics went to Godfuckingknowsville. All that mattered was winning.
Exactly, this being said, I think I am starting preferring Ferran over Lewandowski. The latter is quite awful so far this season
@@moezbendhahbi9539 except lewa is still a quality finisher, which we lack with ferran or even fermin, they get great chances but don't finish
He should anyway retrieve his stats of last year to deserve his place and compensate for his lack of collective work
Felix Fermin and ferran miss chances early on, then can’t get any shots on target in the second half, lewa isn’t contributing anything, he at least has to shoot and hold off defenders , our midfield is coping the best they can, and our defense was solid but unlucky, balde needs to get more involved though
lewandowski just doesn't fit the style he is absolutely horrible with his back to goal plus he cannot exchange those quick one twos idk why xavi insists on doing that just keep lewa in the box man
@@aaquibtayyabi Tbf some of the most beautiful and dangerous "one twos" I've seen Barça do this last 2 seasons have had Lewa involved in them xD
I think the biggest Blunder by Xavi that you didn't mention here is Change in personel:
-Gavi at DM gave the whole midfield composure, mainly at winning balls but 2nd half Xavi decided to shift Gavi to advanced mid.
Exactly how i saw it i swear 😮
marc guiu deserved to be subbed on after his last 2 performances
And he littlerally put yamal as LW i was surprised as i don't see yamal play as lw, he's better playing at Rw.
@hamzik2255 Absolutely, Yamal struggles on LW its not his natural Position, yet Xavi in the biggest Game decides to deploy him there. Yamal would have made a difference Had he been played on RW
@jonathantransyt2879 you could have a case for him instead of Lewandoski who continues to disappoint and Xavi seems to be too naive to Notice it
- Barca on the first half seems and on the first 10 minutes of the second half seems to be the team to win it 3-0 and wrap it
- But then Ancelloti make the right changes , Joselu , Camavinga and Modric change the whole dynamic of the game.
It also comes down to attitudes, Gundogan and Gavi have the right mentality. Gundogan”s comments to the press says it all.
Gundo should be captain.
@@jstos3675might be next season who knows
He meant we had more possession and so should create more chances and score. Its nuance
@@stelixhyx808 it’s not nuance. You can create 100 chances and have 99 percent possession, but if the players can’t stuff the ball in the back of the net it doesn’t matter.

Belingham is just too damn good and that's the whole story and the whole thing that madrid has going on for it right now.
They are basically an one man army.
And that one man is NOT ancelotti...
I don't really believe in this "deserving" thing, unless you're massively screwed over by the ref, the only reason you don't win a game is either you, or your opponent, there is no being the better team, if you don't take advantage of your opportunities, that's your fault as a team, if the opponents goalkeeper saves them, that's thanks to him, you don't deserve to score just because you created a good chance and since you win by scoring you don't deserve to win either
games like liverpool vs tottenham is where you can say undeserved, everything else is just excuses
I think in most the winner is usually the one who deserves as you pointed out, but there’s some exceptions.
Saying that this is 100% skill is pretty much saying that you don't understand football.
from a barca fan , when you miss a lot of goals and end up losing , there is no such thing as "deserved to win" , little details decided the match.
I think subbing Fermin had a lot of impact on our game too
Not just subbing him , but subbing him for Romeu that did not bring anything to Barca. Losing balls on defense and was too slow to catch up his mark on Bellingham or Modric , and did not bring much things on Attack. Not saying Romeu is "bad" , its that physical teams like Madrid , City , Bayern and more would give him a very bad time.
Fermin was out of gas but Xavi should have made raphinha played fermins role we wouldn't have lost power in attack

Adaptability of MADRID was superb

This has been continuing for a long time. 2nd half disasterclass from barca ( vs Bayern, vs United, vs Inter, vs madrid a couple of times ) Xavi’s in-game managment has been shocking for big games.

I think the second goal was cas from not shutting down the crass we had 3 playes that just allow the ball to cross in the box
I am happy with the game. This is a key moment in the season to give Barca what they needed to really step on the gas.
Football was never about who deserves to win. It's about goals, luck and entertainment.

Barca had many important injuries so it’s pretty obvious Madrid would dominate with depth.
Great vid mate
The team who scores more in a football match deserves to win, it’s that simple
i always loved gavi but this acl injury made everyone including me how important he truly is for this team
Diego Simeone said it best, the team that wins deserves to win it.

If ancelotti makes the right player selection, madrid will cruise through another win.
He’s like traditional Brazilian winger, who are great at dribbling and play making. So playing vini as a striker literally made him 50% less threatening.
So please don’t talk like Madrid or is like in their 100%
@@Dodlo32888 Arda Seriously? I am sure u didnt even knew who he was until he was signed and u termed him as ur most antiticpated signing? U gotta be kidding me dude. Yes madrid too is missing players, bt if you have watched the match u can say that a fair result was a draw either 1-1 or 2-2. Both team enjoyed moments in the game, it simple came down to luck with that Modric deflection into Jude. I dont consider madrid a better team than barca right now.
You’re acting as though Real Madrid will play the same way. They’ll make adjustments too and come with a different game plan depending on what Barca players are hot. Real Madrid has a deeper squad
No they did not. I know you're a huge Barca fan but keep it real mate, there is no need to cope like this.
7:02 tbf this is basically a barca analysis channel with occasional doses of other attacking managers/sides
please a video josef zinnbauer tactic
Winning a football match depends on 1 thing and 1 thing only, scoring more goals than your opponent. Could haves and should haves are in the past, we took our chances and won, all they won were moments hence Xavi is saying all that
The Romeu sub cost Xavi the game. He just isn’t good enough. He has cost Barca points this season.
No one's talking about the mobility ferran torres provides. which Lewa couldn't and thats what caused the momentum shift. even ferran torres was free inside the box most of the time but joap Félix and Joao cancelo were too selfish to pass him.
I'd say, there's no point in saying "we deserve" when the chances aren't converted...no matter the possession or chances, it's the scoreline that matters...fair to say,the Clasico should have ended 1-1
we shouldn't buy felix imo. we need winger who scores goals and make assist and is pacey
Bell saved the day (again)
Sometimes football isnt always about "finding space" but rather just putting your opponent under pressure and in 1 vs 1 situation and if that happens in the whole pitch either your team did a horrible defending or the attacking team had a clever tactic against you (modric and jude always attacking the half spaces and the 14 zone like any good midfielder or playmaker should).
would you make a transcription
to be honest, if we had frenkie or pedri, this game wouldnt be the same.
If Barca had atleast one of them real madrid would not have had a chance.
what is "special" about dembele when it come to effectiveness??
Y’all forgetting Lewy just barely came back from injury
Make a libertadores final analysis next Saturday

I really want to know y barca coach , barca players and barca fans blame others for every thing ?
Barca literally got a lucky goal but u guys dont want to accept it . Madrid on other hand is an adoptive team , madrid is more of a mentality strong team than being a tactically strong team . As a madrid fan i will openly admit gavi was pure class but on other hand u guys calling jude lucky every time he scores is just so stupid . When barca fans will realize madrid isnt lucky , its just part of their plain every time
Im sorry but i wouldn't trust the app that has ball possession at 44-52 like wth was there a ghost on the pitch that had the other 4%?
When ever real loose a match everybody talk about now they win every body silent 🤫
Is lack of decisiveness possibly driven by the lack of competitiveness highlighted by Gundogan?
Great points but I think Barca were still more deserving just greatly ineffective. Xavi fumbled this one and as a barca fan I love him but he made the incorrect changes adjusting to madrids changes
If you'd like to know more details about the game and want to know more about why they changed players, feel free to check out my game analysis, if you're interested. ruclips.net/video/5c0AI7HvfRE/видео.html
Xavi played with a dedicated back 3 on the ball but with 5 defenders off the ball.
No such thing as a team that deserved to win
Xavi is pathetically unable to accept reality that he and his team failed. Football is not about who deserves to win. Nor who has more possession. It's who has more goals at the end of 90 minutes. Los Blancos took their chances better and won. Note too that Barca's goal was not from a chance created but from an error by Tchouameini. As you pointed out, the stats show how patient and composed Real was, and how the entry of Camavinga, Joselu, and Modric changed the game. Hala Madrid! Hasta el final!
Fax... This video would be more appreciated if he evaluated his good points about the barca playstyle.... But the title implying that they deserved to win is too much...
Hala Madrid y nada mas
@@Maxemilan Agree. But the video is also titled that way because that's what Xavi said. Xavi felt they deserved to win.
Just give Xavi 13 more years and 3 billion €. Trust the process.
I never understand the whole we deserve to win just cause one team had all the possession and more chances but they don't take them a good example of this is man utd vs arsenal at old Trafford last season
Football unlike boxing, is not win by decision, but goals. Who make and bloks the most wins. Is that simple
Purist the goat 🐐
Barca collapses in the second half, what else is new?
How many more years is this going to go on?
BUT BRO DON'T U THUNK BCCOZ PLAYER'S WERE NOT THERE THAT'S WHY XAVI SWITCHED TO THIS TACTIC RATHER THAN HIS USUAL TACTIC
Pls upload more
Thanks for another Barca video! 😃
If Madrid can count on Barcelona having half their outfield players out injured then they'll cruise to La Liga 😎
If not, I'd wager Barca won't continue their current trend of waning in the second half.
Jude's second goal is luck but Gundo's goal, coming from a miss touch from Tchou and deflection from Alaba's tackle is a chance....
@@anasbenali4145 Gundo ran into space and WON the ball off Alaba, completely different. Don't matter, a win is a win.
I have a question: the statistics usually change when the game isn't tied? How do the statistics change? Shouldn't we analyse the game into parts separated by the winning team at the moment?
