Someone like a young Busquets or a player of a similar profile would be perfect for a Gegen-pressing style of football that Hansi Flick is trying to play at Barcelona IMO. He will be that important piece in the middle that you can't pressure.
I agree when it comes to trying to press Busquets, a player with this IQ would certainly elevate Hansi Flicks' Gegen-pressing style, to your point about Barcelona currently. Unfortunately players like Busquets come along once in a generation. What holding midfielder is even close to his talent in the world right now? (Excluding Rodri for Man City).
@@damien.francis True, I thought someone like Tonali in 2020 would be a good replacement because his style is similar to Pirlo's (Somewhat). But, Boy was I wrong.
Tonali did show a lot of promise for sure (in the Pirlo mould agreed not anywhere near same level) he could still get there though still only 24yrs, but his career has stuttered at Newcastle with the ban he received. Haven’t seen the best of him in the Premier League yet, but I look forward to watching him when he gets back to his best. Very talented.
