@@ElPabloDelDiablo There is another quality that sets Olmo apart which is the possible reason why they wanted him over the other options is his ability to turn a press through his controls, when combined with the passers at the base of the play he creates simulated transition situations, since with Olmo's ability to receive and turn almost instantly, he can face the attack with at least 3 runners against 3 or 4 defenders and even less if he beats a player with the turn like against Dortmund, Baena simply can't do that and most likely that's why they decided not to go with him.

the combination play has been a trademark of barcelona since ages. one of the biggest upsides of having academy players (and especially good ones) play with each other in the first team is that they technically have years of experience connecting and play with each other even before experience on the professional level. this is the real hack and trick to la masia, and if you are extremely generous towards playing youngsters, other talented youngsters are also bound to want to join la masia because they know they have the highest chance of breaking into the first team at barcelona. it's just a shame that we slowly deviated away from this over time and allowed players like xavi simons to leave because we weren't giving him opportunities like we are giving the current crop of youngsters.

Should barca stop using high line in second half of the games? Because i was re-watching couple of previous games and we mostly concede goals in second half. The intensity we have in first half massively drops in second half mostly after 60 minutes.
Pedri's passing range is good but not ridiculous....some times he doesn't see runs ... The last Dortmund game Lewandowski n raphinha made numerous good runs into the box ...but he didn't even attempt to play one ball in behind.. Rapha was frustrated all the time.... He has to do better but has the potential to do it...same with gavi.... I believe casado has better vision and execution than pedri n gavi... What pisses me off is that he tries to play the ball in behind in impossible situations.... So pedri has to find the balance...
In my opinion the problem is that we can't rest our CB so their performance have declined due to fatigue but with Araujo back i would expect us to be conceding less now.
