- New Orleans native Charlie Andrews demonstrates on how to make his delicious Vanilla pound cake. This recipe calls for 15 or 20 or more individual slices of pound cake. Not only is this pound cake fluffy, moist and full of vanilla flavor but it is absolutely delicious. Hope you all will give this recipe a try.

Mr Andrews, as I was preparing to make a pound cake 2day your vanilla pound cake popped up on my notification stream and what a blessing. I just turned 78 years young yesterday so I immediately walked to the grocery store for heavy cream and butter extract. Had all other ingredients. Mr Charlie, my cake is in the oven and from my tasting the sides of the bowl, all I can say is delish lol. Thank you so much for being my cake instructor/provider. ☺☺☺ Can hardly wait to complete with icing and then eating.

This cake is sooo good! I made it twice in 2 days! The first time I made for my sisters bday and I used the exact recipe. My mom called me the next day to tell me people had been calling her to find out who made the pound cake. Since I didn’t get a piece for my sisters bday I decided to make another one. This time I didn’t have enough vanilla extract so I used 2tsp of vanilla and the rest lemon. It was EVERYTHING! I had this cake along with some homemade vanilla ice cream I made the day before & I was transported back to when my granny goose was alive! This cake was DELICIOUS!!

i really like how this version is more light color inside rather than deep yellow like so many pound cakes are. I don't know why that is but this is beautiful and looks yummy

Your recipes are some of my favorite to play with... My fam loves every one of your recipes I've tried, from the plain pound cake to the 7up one to the pecan candy and the lemon bars it goes on... 😆😆😆 You put me on with the baking pan too, I've always loved adding just my yolks where the recipe calls for eggs then whipping the whites and adding them separately, last ... Ive had more cakes than I care to admit bubble over the side then deflate... I finally splurged on your favorite pan and it's made all the difference in the heat distribution, the texture and color of the crust, everything. It gives me the space I need to be great, they bake up just as tall n pretty... You helped me up my baking game, yeah!! Thank you love!!!!! 😘😘😘😘 from EBRP!!!!

It went great. I have one issue as I need the larger cake pan. I have to put some into a smaller pan due to size. Everyone lived it and gobbled it up.
