My Mawmaw, who passed away last month at 90 years old, used to make a 5 flavor pound cake..so delicious 😋..she passed the recipe to my mom..it tastes just like my Mawmaw's..her 5 flavor and her Red Velvet were always around growing ❤
Just made this loaf .. n made it my own by adding 1 Tsp vanilla extract , 2 tbsp of fresh lemon. Add 1/2 cup lemon instant jello pudding and add 1/2 cup Cream cheese to replace 1/2 cup shortening..🎉🎉🎉🎉 so amazing .. thanks for receipt . I cooked 325 for 1 hr perfect brown color

Hi Tammy! Am running late this evening, but wanted to say we made this pound cake late this afternoon. It's not the first time we’ve made it but it was the perfect dessert this evening. We often have this during the summer months when we can put cake slices on the grill just long enough to warm them and get some grill marks on them while doing the same thing with fresh peach halves. The pound cake slices are usually served up with the peach halves and a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. Looking forward to doing that in a couple of months! In the meantime, having it for breakfast works, too!! Yum!! Thanks for another video, y'all!!

I just pulled the pound cake out of oven. I followed direction but I used a metal loaf pan. I was concerned about baking time but it was Perfect!! This is an easy and wonderful cake, it is just like my grandmothers.❤❤❤

Love Pound Cake❤ If anyone ever had the blessings of a Mimosa tree in their yard growing up it truly was a blessing. I love smelling the pink flowers. We made flower arrangements with them. We also had Pine, American Elm, Oak, and Cedar trees everywhere my Dad planted everyone of them by hand . Dad planted Catawba trees and fished with the worms. Dad had fruit trees , pecan, maple, dogwood, and Crepe myrtle trees. I think he just loved trees.

Made this tonight (1/2 recipe, still made alot) and boy it was YUMMY!!! New to the channel and subscribed also. Was wondering for a lemon pound cake would 1 tsp lemon extract and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract be good or just lemon extract 1/1/2 tsp. Baked at 350 for 40 mins and around the edges of the cake started to burn and was not done. So turned off oven left in for about 5 more mins and was done but burnt around the edges. Have an elec stove. Thanks again for this wonderful recipe! Love this channel 🥰
If you’re feeling extra special, you can take half of a vanilla bean pod and squeeze the paste in the pod into the cake batter. If you make homemade vanilla extract.

Love poundcake! How do you keep it crunchy? I had to cover it and it got soft and top not crunchy anymore? I guess only way to keep it crunchy is to keep it up covered?

I have found using 1/2 cup Crisco OIL, not shortening, makes a pound cake super moist......and it is one of my favorite cakes.
