How to make a Red Velvet Cake from scratch

- New Orleans native Charlie Andrews gives a demonstration on how to make a Red Velvet Cake from scratch! This cake calls for 15 to 20 slices. A red Velvet cake is a chocolate cake with a dark red, bright red or red brown color. It is traditionally prepared as a layered cake with cream cheese frosting. My recipe calls for a fluffy, moist and delicious Red Velvet cake. This cake is made with flour, cocoa powder, butter, oil, sugar, eggs, buttermilk, and red food coloring. The secret to making this cake is adding a mixture of baking soda and vinegar into the cake batter. Once the cake is baked, we fill the insides and top it with a delicious, cream and non- runny cream cheese frosting! I have also have an option for you to turn this cake into a birthday cake as shown in this recipe. I recorded this recipe on my birthday! Hope you'll be willing to give this recipe a try!

We practiced on the bottom of a cake pan scraped it off and mom went with me. She gave up. Green they used for writing and leaves to match. Rose's I can make now. I use a mini marshmallow to pipe onto a platform base. Then remove with scissors. Place on cakes. Your very talented. Keep going ok. Please dont be offended I wanted only to teach you as i learned alot from you dear Charlie. Bless your heart!

The frosting for my cake didn't come out as fluffy is yours I have a stand mixer and I used the paddle attachment is there anything you can tell me how to fix it
@@shamekarivers2644 Place mixing bowl into the freezer for 15 minutes. when return back to mixer and mix for 3 minutes. Hope this helps. Thanks!
