Hi Sunshines☀️ Mistakes, as we slightly suspected may happen, are being caught by our knowledgeable followers. We appreciate you guys. -The CURL’S Creme Brule’ -Eden Bodyworks Curl Defining Cream -Shea Moisture Curl and Style Milk (recent formula change...We did not own the new formula change) Remember our disclaimer in the beginning of our video stating we did the best we could. Porosity has been mentioned as well. This video was made as a guide to do our share in trying to help. We did our best. As LoriAnne likes to say ...“Eat the meat and throw away the bones” That is all 🤓🦁M.A.D.CURLS
M.A.D.CURLS Appreciate the effort! Keep the videos comin’! Alot of brands now (looking at you, SheaMoisture!) will keep different formulas on the same shelf...it’s frustrating because you know it works but they don’t identify when they change it...I can’t wait to finally try Camille Rose...one day soon hopefully! 🤗
Quitee717, Tropical Moringa Sweet Oil & Honey Endless Moisture braid out glaze does have glycerin in it. It is about halfway through the ingredient list. I used it today and was reading the label after all the conversation about glycerin.
Great job, ladies! I live in Colorado where it’s mostly dry, but we’ve had a lot more humidity than we’re used to (still WAY less than the south or east) and glycerin is a problem here also. But a couple more things need to be factored into the equation: you may have noticed that some of your low porosity commenters benefit from glycerin. High porosity hair generally hates it. Also, there are other humectant ingredients that can cause frizz and poufiness in hi-po’s like sugars (anything ending in ose) honey, and agave, which many of those no glycerin products contain. So experimenting and reading all ingredients is helpful, and clearly, what may work in winter may not work in summer, and vice versa. Thanks for all your hard work!
CATalley Thank you so much for your comment. You are the kind of viewer that we love. You become part of the conversation and are very helpful. We appreciate this and you. 🤓🦁💕➰
CATalley thank you for that info! I have low porosity hair in the front and the rest seems to be pretty neutral. I would have to use two different products in my hair most likely based on this info! 😱 I'll have to do an experiment! Thanks for the 💡 moment!
I’ve barely started watching, but first I just wanted to say Happy Belated Birthday!!! I love you ladies so much because you show so much dedication to helping us out. You saw a problem and made an effort to help us solve it! Your drive to keep us informed and to take us on your journey is absolutely refreshing. So far you guys are naming a lot of my favorites 😊
Aww thank you! We try to do the best we can for you guys! We really appareciate all our viewers, and the struggle sometimes of this natural hair journey haha 🤗 thank you for watching! ❤️
Oh my goodness! This video is so clutch because my hair hates glycerin. Such a pesky ingredient. Since it’s a humectant, when it’s too humid it pulls all the moisture from the atmosphere into your hair causing frizz and when the air is dry and arid, it pulls all of the moisture out of your hair and sends it into the atmosphere causing dryness which can cause frizz too. So I’m wondering who does glycerin actually work for? 🤔
That's a good question.....after reading a few articles about glycerin and humectants, I said the same thing, then why not eliminate this ingredient from hair products??
Karen Reeves I would think that would be the best thing. To eliminate it altogether. In my opinion if it’s not perfect weather not too dry and not too humid (which is when?) then it would not work properly.
Shea Moisture needs to update their website. I have a bottle of the Curl & Style Milk & the Formula has been changed. It now contains glycerin (in the top 5 ingredients). That’s another thing to remember about products with glycerin if you’re glycerin sensitive, if it’s not in the top 5, it’s less likely to react to the elements. Enjoyed the video...maybe a silicone free styler video? If it’s not too much trouble?
Phoebe Felice Shea Moisture is always changing their formula. They are so hard to keep up with 😡 Haha! Thank you for helping us out with your comments. 🤓🦁💕➰
If glycerin is in the proper concentration relative to the water concentration in a product, its going to keep the water molecules in your hair strands = longer-lasting moisture. There is nothing strongly supported scientifically to suggest that glycerin has a strong enough affinity to water to draw it out of the air, especially if its fully saturated with water in the product (which it usually is). Just thought I'd share.
Curlies that don’t watch your channel are REALLY missing out. Thank you for having integrity and making videos for your subscribers needs. Thanks TA for the hard work!
I know this is old but: Uncle Funky Daughter has glycerin! There’s a whole debacle going on but apparently UFD always had glycerin, but forgot to list it **according to the companies statement.** I just bought a bottle yesterday & the 2nd ingredient is Glycerin. Great video💗
Ahhhhhh!! 🤗Thanks so much for the video...I wish I would have looked this up BEFORE I spent 2 hours reading ingredients from curly girl friendly products at my local Walmart and target....I live in Maryland and humidity is just as bad here as it is back home in South Carolina and my curls are always frizzy and I was super frustrated...but I tried Camille rose’s jansyn and curl maker today and i feel like gettin down on my knees and bowing down...I couldn’t believe that it worked!!!!! 🤩🤩
Thank you so much. I live in Jacksonville Florida, and YES the Humidity is real. And I can come out with A frizzy mess but I've also found that if glycerin is low on the ingredients list I have a good chance of it working. The struggle is real in the South
As a low porosity natural, my hair quite literally repels moisture so my hair loves glycerin, and I live in South Florida. Having glycerin in my rinse outs makes my hair absorb the moisture better. There have been times where I cowash and deep condition with glycerin free products that other people love, and I notice that my hair is drier than when I started because I wet my hair, but my hair didn't really absorb the water well. I love glycerin in my leave ins and stylers, but I have to use a strong hold gel when I do. The glycerin makes sure my hair is moisturized, while the gel repels the elements from interacting with my hair. The shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie and eco styler argan oil last 7 days minimum for me, and, again, this is in South Florida.
Thanks for the cheat sheet. I have high porosity hair so glycerin is the devil.👹 ironically my Holy Grail wash and go are the shea moisture coconut hibiscus leave in and the styling gelee. The combination gives me an amazing wash and go that can last up to eight days. I do refresh with the mist as well. Unfortunately the Florida heat and humidity make it a no-go for me because the products cause me to break out around my neck and back during hot and humid weather. I have just tried a few Alikay Naturals products as of last month and fell in love. I now have a great summer wash and go. The founder, Rochelle, is from Florida , so she understand the struggle! I started off by ordering travel sizes to test the product out. I will be experimenting until I figure out my Holy Grail summer cocktail.🍸
The absolute best glycerin free humidity resistant product in my opinion is flaxseed gel! Y’all! That stuff keeps my hair sooo moisturized and if I use a good moisturizer underneath, then my hair doesn’t dry out at all! My hair is low porosity and loved glycerin so much because it opens up the cuticle by drawing in moisture. LP hair always has a hard time getting moisture in, that’s why it tends to be super dry. HP is also dry but because the cuticles are super open so moisture tends to escape easily. Just a little tip haha 😊❤️😉
I do :) I add xanthin gum, rosemary leaves, and some shea butter to my mix and it works wonders. I add 3 tablespoons of the gum cuz my hair is THICC baby! Hope this helps!
Thank y’all for this video. I live in Louisiana and my hair has struggled because of the high humidity . I didn’t realize it was the glycerin until recently. Uncle funkys curly magic has been a lifesaver.
I checked this out, it's great! Enter your zip code and get temperatures, dew points & humidity levels where you are; it even suggests hairstyles & hair products for your hair type. Interesting!
Thank you ladies for this!!! This was awesome and so helpful. My momma in Florida is definitely going to be hearing about it. This is just one of the reasons we all love y’all ... the above and beyond you go through. Hearts of gold, curl friends!! Hearts of gold!!➰☀️➰☀️➰☀️
Thank you for this vid. This is so helpful. One you just replay when you want advice. I read on naturally curly that if you have semi-permanent colored hair you better don't use glycerine. It binds with the molecules (they're bigger in a semi-product) and makes the color disappear more quickly. I do dye my hair since short with a semi colored product so I don't want to take the risk of losing my color to quickly. That's why I'm looking for a good deep conditioner without glycerine.
Oh. My. Goodness!!! Thank you! 💜 You all are such sweethearts and I appreciate all the work you put into listening to your subscribers and doing the work to provide us options to look as fabulous as you! Many blessings! 🤗🌀💁🏽♀️💜🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thank you so much for this video. I live in Puerto Rico we have very humid weather and I had no idea glycerin could frizz your hair, I put what you said to the test and it worked!! Love you guys! Great job as always!👏💕😘
I found it Lorianne thank you so much for directing me here with my humidity question. The southern humidity is SO REALL thank you guys so much for coming back and caring about including us in this little research and video :)
I am so glad you did this video!!! It is difficult to keep track of them. This has been my issue even before there were so many options for curly hair. I live in the caribbean were humidity is a all year long issue. When I was young I realized that products with glycerin had certain look... then I will look ath the ingredients and there it was; however, I have found that if the glycerin is towards the end and not in the first five, I might get away with it
Aray Brown Ok. We narrowed this video down to just stylers, for now, so perhaps their other products are glycerin free. We didn’t check their cleansers or conditioners at this time. Thank you Aray. You guys are great. 🤓🦁💕➰
Hi Ladies🤗! Great timing with this video! I just found a perfect wash & go combo! The MC 3 in one conditioner (you have to try it ASAP it’s amazing) as my leave in and the Camille Rose curl maker! I was looking for a good combo for Curlfest tomorrow. Can’t have frizz at curlfest! Lol...
As of right now I rotate between Kinky Curly, Uncle Funky Curly Magic and Jessicurl Spiralicious styling gel to keep my hair protected from the crazy humidity here in Florida. I so appreciate being able to add more glycerin free natural hair products to my styling arsenal, lol. Thank you sooooo much, Ladies, for this video!!
Hey ladies. Very informative video. I have the mane choice ancient egyptian products and the Camille rose curl milk and gel. I love the results that gives even in the winter. Thanks for taking the time to make this video because I’m sure your viewers have something in their stash that you mentioned. And yes LoriAnne, the struggle IS REAL 😂
Thank you for this video, it's so thoughtful that you went to the south and experienced the difference in humidity and did a video that shows us so many different options to help us ALL get through and have our curls poppin. I'm obsessed with M.A.D.CURLS and i don't care who knows it! 😍❤❤
ivyperfection33 No girl!!! It s not just you. We came back to Connecticut truly educated about y’alls humidity down there. Georgia is not playing!! 🤣 We hope this was able to help you out a little 🤓🦁💕➰
You ladies turned me on to curly chic your curls defined and it has been my favorite since may. I love a firm hold and it really defines my curls. I ran out today to buy the leave in and another tub of your curls defined. I don’t mind the silicone in it and you can’t beat the price. Thanks!
You guys did a great job!! I live in the south and it’s always humid, newly natural and I needed this list! I have become a product junkie to only find the products don’t work for me, and glycerin seems to be the common real. Thanks again
This video was so helpful. I’m from NY, but I’m currently living in Virginia, and yes the southern humidity struggle is real! After watching this, I went thru my products and almost everything I own has glycerin in it. That explains why I have so many wash and go that don’t last more than a couple of days in the summer. Now I have an excuse to go shopping for new products! By the way, SheaMoisture must have changed the formula on the Curl and Style Milk because mine has glycerin in it, but the one at Sally’s does not. Anyway, this was awesome. Thanks for looking out for us. 😊
This is the first video of yours that I have watched and I love you guys! I could talk curly hair all day with you two. So I live in Charlotte where the humidity is out of control and I recently realized that glycerin is NOT my friend. The struggle is definitely real. Thanks for this informative and entertaining video!
Hi ladies, yes the south has a different kind of humidity. I went to Delaware last week and my hair was lookin a HOT MESS!!!! LOL I immediately remembered u two saying that it was crazy humid and so I just put my hair in a bun because there was no helping it.
I have the Mielle deep conditioner, a bunch of low porosity Shea Moisture products all with Glycerin the more I read the back of my hair products the more deflated I got. I need to stock up on anti glycerin products. I do have quit a bit of Camille Rose which has been a staple and now I know why.
Glycereth 26 and glycol are glycerin too. I was disappointed blueberry bliss line has them. So many products have glycerin glycol and glycereth. Tricky. Thank you for this. Honey and other humectants act like glycerin. I definitely see a better difference in my hair without it. Better results.
Great video ladies. My hair is curly in the front but half way down in the back of my hair less curl. Any suggestion. Your guys have pretty skin. What products do your used on your skin. Thanks
This video definitely helped because I just did my hair and it frizzed like crazy and I had to put it in a bun. And like y’all said the South is brutal when it comes to humidity. I’ll definitely be checking the ingredients in my products.
Yes! We are glad to have found a possible reason why our products that typically work, haven’t been working this summer! I would totally check the ingredients! Thanks for watching! ☺️
Excellent breakdown of glycerin free products but wanted to ask if you can make a video please regarding glycerin free curl activators. I’m so hurt that one of my real only go to has glycerin which makes my hair extremely dry and frizzy midday. I don’t what else to use to replace it. I am speaking of the SCurl moisturizing activator. Thanks so much in advance
I'm so excited for this video. A lot of my favorite products have glycerin but they work just fine cuz it doesn't get too humid where I live. But when I went to Chicago my hair was super frizzy cuz of the humidity & the glycerin. Now I will know what products to use when it's humid. Thanks so much for this video ladies.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I didn't want to ask what products don't have glycerin, as I thought it would be too much to ask you guys. My go to products all have glycerin. I complain about frizz and humidity in south Florida and have yet to purposely pick a product without it. Haha, don't know what I am waiting for. Now I know what to try next.
Amazing video ladies! Thank you so much for all this information! Can’t wait to get home to dig out these products so that I can try these out this summer! I have a question ladies what do you put in your hair if you ever go to the pool or the beach to protect it? Can’t wait for your next video! Keep up the good work love seeing you ladies!
Great job ladies! Very helpful for me because I do my hair according to the weather. I do wash and goes in the summer and braidouts and twistout in the winter. Very good content and informational✌🏽
Sallys GVP Conditioning Balm , La looks Max spike gel, and Aussie instant freeze Gel are Glycerin free as well. You ladies should join the curly girl method groups on Facebook. ❤
You ladies should move down to S Eastern Ct. Lol. So much less humid down here verses your area. I grew up in New Britain, so I know it get super humid over there lol.
Glycerin is a HOLY GRAIL for my curly friends and me here in Atlanta because we have low porosity hair. We have all been in the south and natural for 10+ years. So this is real life experience. I've found it is key to know dew point AND your hair's porosity because glycerin may be FIRE🔥 for summer curls in the south.
Yaaass! I look for humectants, like honey, glycerin, panthenol, etc. Naturallycurly has a whole article about it talking about dew point and humidity, I always check the night before my wash day.
@Lea Davenport...Okay if you ladies don’t mind- now I have a question. If you live in southern humidity you want glycerin free BUT if you’re low porosity forget that rule because you need the glycerin in the summer even as well? Ahh please let me know. Was hoping this was about to be my answer but don’t want to go buy a bunch of products if not. Also Lea could you elaborate more in watching the humidity and specifically dew point with low porosity. Like if dew point is higher which do you want and if lower vice versa.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY M.A.D. CURLS!!! 😍🎉💕 Love you ladies so much! I pray your special day was as beautiful as you two are! Thank you for this video, because I live in NC & actually have a few of these on my shelf! 😁🙋🏽♀️
This was very helpful thank you. Didn’t know about the Glycerin and it’s relation to weather/ frizz. I do love Alikay Naturals Camille Rose and will use this summer. I thought I was going to have to wear a bun or ponytail all summer but will get hair braided before I go on vacation-don’t want to do hair on vacation by the way congratulations on your son’s/brother’s graduation 👨🎓 👍
Felicia Dunn The M.A.D.CURLS team believe it or not both celebrate the same birthday, so thank you for our birthday wishes and you are very welcome for the help 🤣🤓🦁💕➰
I last bought a product from the brand "Every Strand". Their curl cream. It's on naturally curly as well. I can't get this "thing" (nasty thing) to pair well with anything else. LOL! I have tried all my gels and even some leave-ins: it curdles and so flakes in my hair. I made the mistake of using my head as a lab one time, no more. Now I test it all in the palm of my hand first. Or, I can go wash my hair again (and who wants to do that). I do have to say that as a stand-alone product (which is how I'm using it up now) it does a very good job, gives me a light to medium hold. I use 2 dollops for my wavy/curly hair and it's more than enough for me. And it's quite refreshing in these hot months to only have to use one product. Nope, can't even use a serum with it or it pills up and flakes. :(
Y’all thank you so much‼️🙌🏾 cause the struggle has been real in Indy! I could not figure it out!!!! I deep conditioned curls were poppin and then put product in and the frizz train just took off😂😭😂. I really needed this ♥️ You Guys😘♥️
You hit it outta the park with this one! Great informative video. I'm watching this as I get ready for work and before I decide what to use to style my hair. I was excited to try for the first time the Eco Natural curl cocktail and (insert sound of loud screech here) I checked the ingredients list and sure enough glycerin is listed. I'm going to experiment anyway and hope for the best Lol 🤞🤞 Glad to know my favorite CRN made the list. Thx for all your hard work to come up with all these!! My suggestion box entry is for a video on products with or without proteins, hydrolyzed proteins.. when they're needed, when to stay away from them, how to counteract the negative effects. (When Taylor has the patience to go thru all this again Lol
Thank you for this video!I live in New Orleans so you can only imagine the humidity🙁currently using my faithful camille rose products and it has been holding me down👏🏼🙌🏼I can use this brand year round which I love😬
Thank you for this video! I don't use any stylers with glycerin because I live in South Florida, and those just don't hold up for me. My favorite styler right now, which is my one and done, is the UFD Curly Magic. I also like to use glycerin-free refreshers like UFD's Defunk spray, and I also use the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Mist and the Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In sprays you all mentioned as refreshers too. :)
Thanks for the video! The south GA humidity is real!!!! When I was in college, I had to find alternatives for products because my hair would shrink or my twist outs would puff up in the summer time. 😯😯😯
Alexis Simmons You are welcome. We had to experience the weather conditions ourselves to finally understand the struggle. The South is not playing with that heat and humidity. So glad we learned through our own personal experience. 🤓🦁💕➰
Great product information. I can certainly relate to this dreaded humidity in my neck of the woods. I previously purchased the Pantene Leave-On Detangling Milk & the Pantene Pro V Curl Controlling Creme. Both of these gave me a great wash and go this week. ➰💕
shelly11134 I told you guys. I love that combination. I’m so glad you tried it. And they are glycerin free. Now I know why they are workin so well in all this crazy humidity in Connecticut🤓🦁💕➰-LoriAnne
Some of the products Naturally curly lists I have and I double checked the ingredients and sure enough glycerin is there so either the manufacturer has changed the ingredients or the website is wrong.
I just went through my products and most of them have glycerin even if it’s the 5 or 6th ingredient. Eden body works, Shea moisture hair milk, Jane Carter incredible curls, Camille Rose almond Jai twisting butter and The mane choice are the few in my large arsenal that don’t contain glycerin . I stopped using glycerin filled products after I learned that they pulled moisture out of the air into your hair, and you know how steamy it is in Georgia!
Kathy MahoneStreet We know. We were shocked when we came back from Georgia, ourselves and went through all of our products and saw how many of the big name brands had glycerin in them. They are great products, but we learned the reason why some of our favorite brands didn’t work as well in the Summer as they did in the winter. These things are good to know, as Naturals , right? Thank you for watching us and leaving your feedback 😃🤓🦁💕➰
Thank you ladies so much!!...I'm in Jax, fl and yes the humidity is no joke...my hair has always did better in winter here even when I was wearing a relaxer and now that I'm transitioning...my wash and go does good some days and other days not so good...So now I know why...." real busted" is exactly how your hair look when that humidity attacks it...😂

Hey ladies. CAmille Rose Naturals Leave In Collection has honey though...that is a humectant that will work like glycerin....they both are humectants
Yes, my hair was a puff ball with that! I had NO definition and returned it. I live in hot ATL

Yeah but not good for everyone
I’m high porosity and my hair HATES glycerin. When I use products with glycerin my hair becomes frizzy and dry after a day 😭😭

Glycerin gives me so much shrinkage too

Please do more videos like this! You shine! If possible may I request a video of thhe best fine hair stylers? Thanks

I just downloaded an app called Hair Alert, it gives you the Hair forecast 😀

I tried this and two of them popped up, I was able to delete one but the other stayed for some weird reason.
Aww we try Kerrie! So glad this video and our dedication is appreciated! 🤗☺️❤️
Kristina Lopez Thank you! Thank you! We love all of your enthusiasm about what we do 🤓🦁💕➰
This is the MOST comprehensive list! Thanks so much for making this!!
When I was young I realized that products with glycerin had certain look... then I will look ath the ingredients and there it was; however, I have found that if the glycerin is towards the end and not in the first five, I might get away with it
Thanks so much for this! Glycerin doesn't bother my hair so much, but it does for both of my daughters.
I’m from the south and learned early in my journey that I cannot use glycerin!! Thanks for the video.
Thank GOD for this video!!! I was literally at Target today searching for hair products that doesn’t contain Glycerin. My hair HAAAATES it!
AWESOME!! I know this video was helpful then! It’s just a giant list!! Yessss!! Happy shopping! Haha ❤️
ABSOLUTELY a resource video that I’m saving! Thank you for doing the extensive work for this video!!❤️
Went on naturally curly site and pretty much everything Jessicurl is glycerin free. Guess I'm stocking up 😂
Aray Brown Ok. We narrowed this video down to just stylers, for now, so perhaps their other products are glycerin free. We didn’t check their cleansers or conditioners at this time. Thank you Aray. You guys are great. 🤓🦁💕➰
M.A.D.CURLS you're welcome 😘
Aray Brown love jessi curl ❤️❤️❤️
That sounds like an AMAZING line up of products to use for the Florida humidity! 🤗 thank you for watching!
Nicky O Thank you Nicky! We appreciate you girl 😘🤓🦁💕➰
Im just learning about GLYCERIN & how its perfect for winter. I'll have to find something else without coconut oil as a leave in for summer. Tfs!
GA girl here...4b/4c hair that does NOT like glycerin! Talk about frizz city as soon as I walk out the door. Thought it was just me! Thank you guys!!
ivyperfection33 No girl!!!
Thanks!
Wow ladies thanks so much for the video now I know what I need to use when I go back home to visit you guys are the best.
We are so glad this video was helpful!! It helped us too while we were getting the products together! Haha 🤗
You guys did a great job!! I live in the south and it’s always humid, newly natural and I needed this list! I have become a product junkie to only find the products don’t work for me, and glycerin seems to be the common real. Thanks again
Thanks I live in Florida and I needed this advice!!!!!
Rosa Green You are welcome 🤓🦁💕➰
This video was so helpful. I’m from NY, but I’m currently living in Virginia, and yes the southern humidity struggle is real! After watching this, I went thru my products and almost everything I own has glycerin in it. That explains why I have so many wash and go that don’t last more than a couple of days in the summer. Now I have an excuse to go shopping for new products! By the way, SheaMoisture must have changed the formula on the Curl and Style Milk because mine has glycerin in it, but the one at Sally’s does not. Anyway, this was awesome. Thanks for looking out for us. 😊
Thank you for this ladies! You are the best!
This is the first video of yours that I have watched and I love you guys! I could talk curly hair all day with you two. So I live in Charlotte where the humidity is out of control and I recently realized that glycerin is NOT my friend. The struggle is definitely real. Thanks for this informative and entertaining video!
Thanks so much!! This really helps me. I am always checking the humidity because in KY it changes daily. You guys are awesome!
We are so glad this video was helpful! 🤗
Sonya Neal hey girl hey 🙋🏽♀️ nice to put a face to the name
Sonya Neal I'm over this weather btw 😒 I wanted to give the AC a break but the way this weather's set up 😭
Aray Brown Hello Aray Brown! Yep this is me! I am over this weather too. And it isnt even August yet which is normally the hottest!
Hi ladies, yes the south has a different kind of humidity. I went to Delaware last week and my hair was lookin a HOT MESS!!!! LOL I immediately remembered u two saying that it was crazy humid and so I just put my hair in a bun because there was no helping it.
And Delaware is not even considered the south, but our humidity is real too!
Tash Velez That Southern heat and humidity was no joke. So we did our best in trying to help you guys out. 🤓🦁💕➰
Hi.... Guys...so i am loving the aunt Jackie s curl.manetenance. so easy prefect for the summer...love this video
I love your new and old videos! I am preparing for the summer now!!
Thank you for making this video. I'm going to start reading more ingredients.
The Curl Junkie Beauticurls Daily Conditioner is great as a leave in! That's the only way I use it and I loved it
Great video ladies.
Olga Susy Hernández You are very welcome. We wish we knew about the glycerin issue when we went to the South. But we know now 🤣🤓🦁💕➰
Thank you so much for this video!!!
Thank you for adding to the list! We will check out the group! 😊
You ladies should move down to S Eastern Ct. Lol. So much less humid down here verses your area. I grew up in New Britain, so I know it get super humid over there lol.
Great video! It is super helpful. I struggle with frizz and am always looking for products that help with it.
Just came across your channel and starting to watch some videos , I live in CT as well. Small world .
Lee Davenport We are nearing from our Low Porosity followers. Thank you for adding to the conversation. We appreciate this tip 🤓🦁💕➰
Yaaass! I look for humectants, like honey, glycerin, panthenol, etc. Naturallycurly has a whole article about it talking about dew point and humidity, I always check the night before my wash day.
Tatyanna Hayward that's a great tip on checking the night before👏🏾
M.A.D.CURLS thanks for listening 💖
@Lea Davenport...Okay if you ladies don’t mind- now I have a question. If you live in southern humidity you want glycerin free BUT if you’re low porosity forget that rule because you need the glycerin in the summer even as well? Ahh please let me know. Was hoping this was about to be my answer but don’t want to go buy a bunch of products if not. Also Lea could you elaborate more in watching the humidity and specifically dew point with low porosity. Like if dew point is higher which do you want and if lower vice versa.
Love your channel! One suggestion - could you please list the products that you mention in each video in the description box?
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY M.A.D. CURLS!!! 😍🎉💕 Love you ladies so much! I pray your special day was as beautiful as you two are! Thank you for this video, because I live in NC & actually have a few of these on my shelf! 😁🙋🏽♀️
Jasmine Cogdell Than you so much 🎉🎉🎉 Yes Ma’am! We had a great birthday! 😘🤓🦁
Y’all are the cutest ! Thank you for this video it was definitely needed !!!
Aubreana Noble Thank you Miss Abreana. We appreciate you watching us and leaving your feedback 🤓🦁💕➰
Happy birthday Taylor!!! Thanks for helping us southern girls out!
Marleen G. Wow! Thank you for sharing your experience wit that product. We love hearing about our viewers Hair journeys. 🤓🦁💕➰
Hey ladies! Glycerin is a humectant. Honey is a humectant as well. So if you honey is listed the product should be avoided as well.
Y’all thank you so much‼️🙌🏾 cause the struggle has been real in Indy! I could not figure it out!!!! I deep conditioned curls were poppin and then put product in and the frizz train just took off😂😭😂. I really needed this ♥️ You Guys😘♥️
Thank you for always being so diligent and sharing the knowledge!😍🤗⚘👍
🙋🏾I’m from the South & you’re right GLYCERIN is the enemy in the Summer💁🏽
Just watching this now and this is great advice! I think the giovanni direct leave in doesn't have glycerin.
Thankkk youuuu Tayyyy
Thank you for this video! I don't use any stylers with glycerin because I live in South Florida, and those just don't hold up for me. My favorite styler right now, which is my one and done, is the UFD Curly Magic. I also like to use glycerin-free refreshers like UFD's Defunk spray, and I also use the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Hold & Shine Mist and the Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In sprays you all mentioned as refreshers too. :)
nisha1739 You are very welcome 😃 Thank you for sharing your hair experience 🤓🦁💕➰
I live in NC and just discovered Jessicurl Spiralicious and it works in this humidity.
That southern humidity changed you girls dramatically haha
THANK YOU!! Living in rainy Miami especially in the summer (like now) I really needed this!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
houseofmarti You are so welcome 👍🏽🤓🦁💕➰
Thank you. I live in North Carolina. Very Helpful.
Some of the products Naturally curly lists I have and I double checked the ingredients and sure enough glycerin is there so either the manufacturer has changed the ingredients or the website is wrong.
Great video. Thank you! This was very helpful 😊💕
M.A.D.CURLS, sad to say the humidity can be just as bad in the winter months, it might be 80 degrees on Christmas Day!
Kathy MahoneStreet Wow! Never any relief? That’s rough. My poor son is down their now 🤓💕➰-LoriAnne
Thanks so much for this info ladies
this video is soooo helpful! thank u!
Such a Great Video As Always! What Porosity are You Both?
Your mom is so cute ❤️
Thanks for doing this video!
Thank you sooo much for this video I live in a southern state and this will help. Thank you so much!!!😄
Jaytira Spencer You are very welcome 🤓🦁💕➰
Very informative, thanks!
Thanks for this video it does help me understand why I thought some products were seasonal!!☀️❄️
Yes! We are so glad this video was helpful! ❤️
Thanks for your video ladies. It was EXTREMELY helpful. 😊
Samantha Ivy You are welcome, Samantha 👍🏽🤓🦁💕➰
I love this. This definitely helped me out!!!!!!!
YES!! That’s what we love to hear! 🤗
Thank you ladies so much!!...I'm in Jax, fl and yes the humidity is no joke...my hair has always did better in winter here even when I was wearing a relaxer and now that I'm transitioning...my wash and go does good some days and other days not so good...So now I know why...." real busted" is exactly how your hair look when that humidity attacks it...😂
monika stringfield Haha! Yes indeed “real busted” is the only way to say it 👏🏽🤣🤓🦁
