It's freaky but not scary... It litteraly follows the same path everytime and upon replaying the game you just see it as harmless paint. There is zero complexity behind it or replay value. It's like looking at a cool painting that wastes a lot of your time.
All of Its popularity comes from its cool design, jack baker is a muuuuuuch scarier antagonist in the main house.

RE7 is the scariest overall but by the time I got to the Beneviento house in RE8, I made the mistake of underestimating it since the game hadn't been scary so far, so I did not at all expect that encounter with the baby creature which is probably why it scared me even more than the entirety of RE7. It reminded me of the experience of encountering the Rat King in TLOU2 for the first time.

RE7 is the scariest in the series, easily. I believe this is due to it's two inspirations. The first inspiration was the true survival horror of the first game, and the second inspiration came from the disempowering indie horror games of the time, and the bigger games they inspired (Outlast and Alien: Isolation seemed to be especially influential). This allowed to the series to go back to its horror roots, while also learning some things from the scariest games of that era.

I agree with this list but I can never forget the first time I played resident evil 4 with doctor Salvador chasing me in the entire village. I was only 4 years old when I first played this game, when I saw doctor Salvador with his chainsaw I was crying from terror. When he killed me for the first time the death animation of Leon's made me turn off my ps2 immediately and I promised to myself to never play this game again. But when I grow up a bit I decided to replay the game to see if I am not afraid anymore. I was so happy when I finished the village fight for the first time. And only God knew what I was going to face in the rest of the game. It took me months or even years to finish this goddamn game but the only thing I have to say here is that resident evil 4 became my favorite game of all time and it still is.

I agree with them all, expect hunters weren’t to scary for me cause i grew up in texas and i found lizards all over my house during like summer which made hunters kinda silly for me

its debatable what i thought was scarier; seeing Mr. X for the first time in the RE 2 remake, or the baby monster from RE 8

Both were definitely startling moments, no doubt. For me, the baby encounter took the cake. I knew something was going to happen, but just not quite like that 😂

@@suhailshaikh8529 It's a good one, although I think there are scarier moments in the game personally. The scariest licker encounter for me was in the interrogation room

@@funmylife9248 respect your opinion but when we see him first time we had no idea what the hell was it ( atleast for non movie watchers) cuz later we can kill them easily with good weapons

The fact that everything that happened in House Beneviento wasn’t real still blows my mind. Like it’s already the scariest part of the game and you’re telling me it’s just Ethan’s halucinations

I played resident evil 5 when I was like 8 years old at that time it was probably one of the scariest games I had played but after watching RUclipsrs play the whole of resident evil 7 I would say re7 was the most scariest

Lmao in re7, the arm bit scared me so much that when I picked it, I walked backwards and never noticed the legs

The scariest part of this video was probably hearing the RPD station being refered to as RCPD over and over again
