@@killeranimatronic5448 Maybe you were. The game is pathetic, even on madhouse. The only way it can even fake difficulty is for it to drop enemies you can't fight in. Be like an actual RE game dropping an Ivy into the first screen and saying it's hard.
It's probably in their favor not to. To do it, they had to buy the game and play it a ton, then re-buy the game for the Speedrun. Changing the whole Steam refund policy just for one dude in the world who's doing this kind of runs? He needs to buy games twice to do this stuff, so at the end he refunds one but keeps his first purchase like anyone else.

that wasn't why he hid. it takes a while for the crawlspace to open, in madhouse mode, jack is extremely fast. Jack would cut off Ethan's leg, so it was a good move to hide and wait for Jack to leave

I love how your chat started talking about shotgun gauge but didn't know what they're talking about. The lower the gauge, the larger the diameter of the bore/barrel, not the pellets themselves. 10 gauge shells can fit more shot or larger slugs than 12 gauge, 12 is larger than 20 gauge, etc. The exact measurement of gauge is the number of lead spheres of equal diameter to the barrel it would take to measure one pound in weight. So 10 gauge would take 10 lead balls equal diameter to the barrel, etc.

There are a few more like the main room out of bounds glitch to get the red keycard which will save some time, skip the dead body animation at the beginning, and the power swing swipe, block technique to end Mia’s dying animation at the first boss fight, and the technique to get Mia to rise faster from the ground, and obviously much more. I love speed running this game more than any other RE title. I loved the challenge !
Three years from now on the news headlines: "SpeedRunners makes Steam change its refunds policies from under 2 hours to under 2 minutes". That being said, I really thing a refund policy could be removed as long as every single title in the store had a Demo for you to play. Frankly, if you buy a game while having a demo of it, together with Reviewrs and the reviews on Steam, and you don't like it, that's on you XD But back on topic: Awesome run. One day I may try RE7.
i had to refund a game because it froze every few minuted because my laptop wasn't strong enough to run it, a demo would probably not have been to big of an issue as it was only barely capable of not running it.

What constitutes 100% for these runs? Cause he didn't get all achievements, and even excluding dlc achievements I believe you have to do more than one run. Regardless though beating it in madhouse the way you did and refunding it was still cool

?? It's pretty high across the Europe but not a big difference. I think Luxemburg has lowest taxes at around 17% and Denmark is most expensive (25%) Well, these countries are less capitalistic so high taxes are partly justified, I think EU actualy has directive that forbids setting taxes lower than 15%.
in fact, depending on their guidelines (which we never read me including) they may be able to suspend your account. It can be judged as "abusing system" or whatever, but in case they didn't have done something like this in their GL or CoC should be safe.
Who else just skips 5 minutes through the video when they see a raid shadow legends sponsor add? Like I could care less about about how much of the vid I skip because it's obviously gonna be bad quality when they're sponsored by raid, I just don't wanna see another second of a raid shadows legend add.
Its not a big deal to a company like Capcom but please keep this to big companies. I read a very sad post on reddit not too long ago about a solo indie dev who developed a game for 6 years, put it on steam, and literally the very first purchase was refunded and the person put the game up on several pirating sites. I just don't want people getting negative ideas in their head built around abusing the system any more than already happens.
I've been doing this with Amazon's Kindle store for years lol. Buy books I want to laugh at but not buy and speed read to return it within 24 hours for my refund. Did it with a few Twilight books and the Divergent trilogy.
@@willianurso Honestly, I get where you're coming from. Wait. What was up with that Jack 1 fight? How did you clear it so fast? From when you first hit him that was about 2:30. Very very true. Sad I didn't take your crypto advice all them years ago haha. Hope you are well!

Fun fact: Marguerite’s weak spot is not her egg sac, but her head. Her egg sac is actually the most resistant part of her body while shooting her in the head does far more damage. You could’ve probably killed her quicker and with less ammo if you went for headshots.
This game has always felt impossible to beat in under 5 or 6 hours for me especially due to the ship part. Insane run

Really? My first run was, like, 4:02. It's pitifully easy.

Nah bro the ship is the second most shortest part
Its just damn extremely fucking boring.
Massive props for correctly using the "I could not care less" phrase in the thumbnail
Of course he used it correctly. He’s British
he's back at it again, and he will keep doing it until steam changes the rules.
It's probably in their favor not to. To do it, they had to buy the game and play it a ton, then re-buy the game for the Speedrun.
This invites others to do it, and if they can't all do it, they will end up purchasing multiple copies of the game.
From the game studios' standpoint, this is even more publicity.
Nobody really loses.

As much as people say corporations only care about money, I personally don't even think that's true, considering how determined some game corporations are to shoot themselves in the feet at every possible opportunity, and cost themselves for it.
@@thebronzeavengers4194 But they had to buy the original game once. Even if they're getting refunds on other copies, they already paid to play the game.
Changing the whole Steam refund policy just for one dude in the world who's doing this kind of runs? Would be easier to just add a limit of games you can refund per month or year (if that isn't already a thing)
Besides, it's not like this will cost Steam any money. He needs to buy games twice to do this stuff, so at the end he refunds one but keeps his first purchase like anyone else.
12:54 The soul sanctum music from hollow knight is a nice touch.
The music choice is actually great. I love this kinda content. It just works, the accent, the VO work, the ease of content from streams, AND huge speedrun strats. Love to see it. Keep it coming please.

I still find it crazy that Ethan actually died after fighting Mia and getting knocked out by Jack
My brain exploded when I learned that. Because I was like f the whole thing where he puts his arm back on and all the parts like that. Then to find out there's a Canon reason he can do that was like oh okay turn something I hate into something super interesting and rad.
Me too but even though we play as him, he's still a regular normal guy until dying.

that wasn't why he hid. it takes a while for the crawlspace to open, in madhouse mode, jack is extremely fast. Jack would cut off Ethan's leg, so it was a good move to hide and wait for Jack to leave

This is such an outstanding, innovative and fun idea for content man. I don’t really enjoy watching unedited livestreams and the way you streamline and condense down the video without making it feel like the viewer is missing out for not watching the entire stream and adding narration and what not is just awesome and shows you actually give a shit about your channel and viewers unlike many streamers that just upload unedited VODs in 10 minute increments to unabashedly get the most money for the least effort *cough* DSP *Cough CVS C Loved your RE3 video and this one is just as good. So thanks man. Pure entertainment that has some effort put into them and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it. Keep up the great work man :)

Now, the real challenge is doing this challenge on village ;)
I'm a bit confused on how you did it on madhouse which only unlocks after you beat the game once, and then did a 100% on a second run. All within 2 hours. Impressive.
Madhouse also unlocks if you purchase any of the special coins (Attack etc) which he did. You see them in the item box, and I believe the refund screen at the end also shows the DLCs

Randomly found this channel like 2 weeks ago and just been WAITING for a new video to drop. Love the videos dude
It was cool to see you use some of the speed run techniques.
Frankly, if you buy a game while having a demo of it, together with Reviewrs and the reviews on Steam, and you don't like it, that's on you XD
But back on topic: Awesome run.
One day I may try RE7.
i had to refund a game because it froze every few minuted because my laptop wasn't strong enough to run it, a demo would probably not have been to big of an issue as it was only barely capable of not running it.
@@borisvanderhof8952 agree. i always feel bad to refund especially its the franchise i love example trail of the cold steel 3. refund like 2 time for tweaks since demo not optimized enough. in the end it just 2 fps from 10 on the demo so i leave it. Then not touching 2nd one ever again. But yeah if only all company do demo on steam. I got warning from steam already back then but reset now.
You definitely should. It's excellent across the board. It was the game that truly brought the RE series back on its feet.
they'll just start frontloading games (to sell off first level demos) like the lion king video game debaucle from disney
I thought 3 heals max was an achievement?? Yet bro heals heaps of times
I bought this game at my local game shop and beat it in 2 playthroughs over 2 days. The game store has a 14 day return policy so I've started a personal challenge of buying, beating, and returning as many games as I can with the same $12.99. infinite games my dude
What constitutes 100% for these runs? Cause he didn't get all achievements, and even excluding dlc achievements I believe you have to do more than one run. Regardless though beating it in madhouse the way you did and refunding it was still cool
A valid 100% run must include:

Pick up all Antique Coins(E-18)(MH-33)
Read all Files(32)
Use all Stabilizers(2)
Use all Steroids(4)

The craziest part about this run is you paying 1.91 on a 7.98 purchase. 24% sales tax, what the hell?
