I mean, a lot of people are shitting on this, but what did they expect? It's a game that challenges you to beat it in under 2 hours, were they expecting some masterpiece 10/10 game? Because I was expecting some rage game designed to waste as much time as possible, and that's exactly what it was.

While the game doesn't look too engaging, the challenge of figuring out the correct path under a time pressure is certainly exhilarating. And watching Trance flip the switch from casual playthrough to speedrun mode was quite funny.

Just a fyi.. This game has a exit near the start lol. Its a slight pain but its there. It kind of reminds me of some Mario maker games as well as a few other games that places hidden wins/exits at the start as a "dev exit". Most of the rest of it is just to waste your time.
would be fun to have a speedrun community of 15 ish $ games that go to charity and are refundable and you get 5$, 5$ charity and 5$ for the game company

I was lucky because I am in the eastern US. start time for me was 10am. It was funny to watch him struggle with the basic tips (like marking your path which stay after death) - because he kept skipping the "strongly advised" tutorial. He finally did the tutorial later, and it took something like 30 seconds to a minute lol.
The enemy almost looks like a death claw from fallout, well after you turned around at the 3 ish minute mark I retract my previous statement and have to say that that is the wish version of a deathclaw
TBH steam should put an adaptive system in place. IE the refund is adaptive to the average it takes for the game to finish normally (starting at 2 hours and goes up or down depending) if the game is 10+ hours it should not allow a refund after the 2. IE 20% of play time. If the game takes an hour. it should give the player like half an hour to refund the game instead of 2. There are alot of games that can be finished before 2 hours. and its just not fair to the devs
Yeah 2 hours is kind of BS, some games have tutorials longer than that. It's almost never long enough to really figure it out. I don't have a lot of money for games so I often find myself panic refunding if I'm just not quite sure the game is for me. Maybe some kind of a tiered system where if you play it for X amount of time you get 75% of your money back, then 50%, then 25% then nothing.
i’m pretty sure if a game gets refunded, the devs don’t lose that money. i’d bet that steam eats that loss since it’s written into their terms and not the game’s.

There seems to be very little "game" to this game. Sometimes a programmers make a thing and it gets mislabeled as a game when in all actuality it is indeed a frustration machine. "Too dark to see how jank the mechanics are" is not a feature.

I dont think you know how VPN's work. lets say i want to play on a game server thats based in the US from here in the UK my ping is 120ms when connecting to the US based server. i then proceed to connect to a vpn server based in the US as close to the US game server as possible. The game reports a ping of 15ms (and this is what you will see) But my actual ping is 135ms Hang on, going via a vpn has made the connection worse, how come? Well... Yes your ping between the vpn server and game server is 15ms, however YOU still have to connect to a server in the US, you would be connecting at roughly the same ping as if you connected directly BUT now you have to factor in the ping from the VPN to the game server. So... You to VPN = 120ms VPN to Game Server = 15ms Total Ping = 135ms
seeing the start my honest thought was.. go the opposite way the game says or just wait in the start for an hour and 50 mins. neat concept but just youtuber bait as advertising for it. also, once you see it there's 0 point in buying and trying yourself. quite the confusing sales tactic.

this comment is for that BlueLemons guy at 5:17, i can see why you have lemon in your name, because you are a sour person, if i am not mistaken and this has been mentioned, uhTrance actually buys the game and then plays the game, gets to know the game then he purchases it for a second time on a different account then tries to beat the game and get all achievments then he refunds, so technicaly the developer is not losing out
