Adrian since your playing mage I’d suggest finding sorceress selen and giving her a royal house scroll. You can buy carian sword so you don’t need to use a dagger anymore. Also visit the deathtouched catacombs for a extra katana. St trinias straight sword is also a super good magic scaling sword that can put people to sleep

NEVER MIND HELLPPPP" it's honestly a blast. We are around 20h into the playthrough as of now killing all the side bosses we could find and doing everything but containing the Story
I just feel bad for Margot. The dude had to fight 2 guy. one with the most broken build and other one using summons. While getting agro abused. Rip Margot you will be remembered.
Just worth note as someone who has also done this, the bosses have a lot more health then normal so to with resistance to status effects and poise. I actually found it more difficult than base game in some fights like godskin duo.
Before major bosses, try to adventure the area as much as you can. Trust me also Level Vigor. Its important so you dont get killed quickly. But you might already know these
Getting margot to half hp on the first try especially in co-op, since they get more hp and dmg with every person that joins, is actually pretty impressive.
You can 2 hand a weapon to deal more damge, and if you dont meet strength or dexterity requirements for weapons, you can 2 hand that weapon to increase your stats by half of the amount you have of those stats
The mage needs to run to caelid scarlet rot lake and pick up the meteorite staff and then gravity spell. This will be your hardest-hitting weapon spell combo for the start of the game. For the warrior I highly recommend using strike weapons the great stars is one of the best weapons in the game but for starters a flail can be found in the ruined carriages just before the big gates at the start of the game. Strike weapons are effective on most targets but excel against armor and shields as well as lots of stuns. Focus on getting the stats you need for your starting build then focus primarily on vigor most builds aim for 60+ to get enough HP your not getting one shotted. Have fun and if you change the time to night you will find hidden bosses and npc invasions for great gear.
