I love your work Lynn I'm such a fan.. 🤗🤗.. Kindly bring a Christian Psychologist to share their advice and experience with regards to narcissist people. I survived to tell the tale and there is so much more involved.. The fact that she can suggest someone go back because it is not physical is beyond crazy I know of some who have committed suicide for not being able to cope and let's not chat about how it affects children as that is how narcissistic people are made. We who believe in Elohim and creation know our God lives in us and we are spiritual beings not atoms. We all belong to our God and those who have accepted Christ have earned the right to he called children of God, and we treat ourselves and others as such.. I recommend Benjamin Zulu..

Lynn, you have just described my 22 years of married life.
I've had to listen to this over and over again. I've never heard anybody who described almost word by word how my relationship was. It's taken me years to walk the path of healing.
Thank you so much for this sharing. It is for me.

Thank you so much Lynn. Please keep doing more of these shows. I have a narcissistic mother who is a champion gaslighter. For years I knew I am useless, bad, ugly, stupid, cursed, you name it. N then I would live in confusion because out there, people are nice to me and they like me, but at home, my mother tells me am useless, cursed, etc. So I was always in a back and forth emotional rollercoaster, doubting myself, my identity, my abilities, and then to make it worse, we live in an African society that tells you that your mother is always right and you must always listen to/respect/love her. But everything changed when I started reading about toxic/dysfunctional families, childhood traumas, generational curses, etc. and suddenly everything started to make sense. I now have very clear boundaries with her and I don't entertain any toxic/negative behavior from her. My life has drastically changed since I made these changes...

They are worse than any disease and unfortunately they cannot be helped or cured. Only thing is to be your self supporter and uplifter - be selfish to the core. That way, at least you'll have loved yourself more should everything go south with them family! Never deny yourself anything because of them coz they'll never look after you ..ever!!! Shalom!

This is so true. Very educative. Narcissists prey on the weak and vulnerable who have high ideals and low self-esteem - this gives them power and control over their victims (supply). Gaslighting is part and parcel of narcissism - distortion of reality and crazy-making, where you question your sanity and what's actually true.
There IS healing after narcissistic abuse. Learn and grow , find your voice, find your power and worth, and go no contact. Narcissists can't be fixed unless they truly want to change, which is rare, because they love the gains from their abuse.
Keep doing the brilliant work Lynn. Lovely outfit by the way!

I was once with a narcissist man even though I didn't know it. When I left him, he hacked my email, sent messages to my friends accusing me of many untruths, he wrote a letter to my boss, who chose to ignore him, so I could lose my job and then he started stalking me! This went on for a year, when he finally stopped. A real nightmare and I was very scared of men after that. I am grateful to now be in a good relationship with my spouse of 8 years but ladies, please note the red flags! You cannot change him. Thanks for educating us.

Narcissist never change. It's the story of the frog and the scorpion..Someone described it as eating meat, you eat meat because you love the flavour not because you hate cows, your desire for the meat has nothing to do with your feelings for the cow. The same way, narcissist need your emotions/reactions, it has nothing to do with their feelings for you, you are just an object and all they need from you is your reaction...stay in and you will be the gift that keeps giving.

There's also alot of friendship trauma that goes on after leaving narcissistic friends and gaslighters... Never overlook how people make you feel especially those who question everything you do in a condescending manner ... There's hope and light ahead as long as you remove yourself from the denial part.... Making up for the damage they've caused because maybe they are the only friends you have at the moment ... Don't be a VICTIM... Make a choice and leave.

I had left this comment on the first video that I've watched of Lynn Ngugi's but selected this second video to watch and oh my in the first few seconds of Ms. Banks speaking this is the exact thing I am going through. I have copied the comment here as well. Thank you again for this show. Thank you for the show. Thank you Ms. Banks, I have saved this video to re-watch because I am experiencing a lot of this. I have broken up with the person who was mentally abusive because I couldn't take the constant negative words and negative disregard towards me. I didn't realize it was mental abuse until after I'd moved out and gave myself permission to say that I was being mentally abused. I have to remember my why for breaking from him and realize he needs to want to get help for his issues. I was always defending myself and I've lost track of time from all of the mental confusion he was putting me through. I had to walk away but still feel triggered almost daily from the abuse. I am happy to have come across your video Ms. Lynn Ngugi. Please keep up the great work. God Bless you and your channel. Thank you Ms. Banks. May God bless you both.

I am going through this kind of abuse with my Kenyan partner, it's devastating, he made me forget who I am, I lost myself for him, he called me names, humiliated me, belittled me but I stand for myself no matter what and when I confront him or criticize him he acts like a child, holding a grudge for days, 'punishing' me with silent treatment, acting like I don't exist. But many times I witnessed his huge insecurities which doesn't match the 'strength' he displays while being mostly verbaly abusive. He has the same patterns all the time. But after 3 years I am done. I love him, it'll take time to stop, but I don't like him anymore. I don't want him in my life anymore. I am ready to be me again and be happy alone and surrounded with healthy people.

I deserve to be cherished and loved the right way. I deserve much better than a fake person with nothing to offer except acting, fake personality, fake words and actions.
The bad thing is he is on a constant search for supply, like a kid for attention, and he's already grooming new possible victims. The circle will just continue. I hope it'll bring him slaps he'll need to recover from.
I didn't keep quiet, I openly spoke about his behaviour and stood for myself, so I brought him injury and shame, which narcs can not stand.

This is so true. Been with a narssist and it's crazy so draining, they will make everyone hate you even your family, denies everything they say despite the messages on the phone, pictures, videos, just crazy we need a medicine for them. So draining.

Am still wondering why my friend had to lose her job because her husband made the administration believe that she doesn't take her roles as a mother to their children as she should. The man who is a narcissist is abusive and always causing drama at her workplace yet they are separated. I pray that God locates her and opens doors for her. It is well my friend.

Yaani never had such an angelic explanation broken to us like to a toddler. Great conversations 👌 mind opening. I surely i am in such a relationship feels more like a gas lighter... the person who is always critical... uses what you say against you when there's an argument.. emotional abuser always upset 😡 and holding grudges for more than a month, punishing me and silent treatment and also looking for excuses, blaming me in all that happens

This is one of the best topics you have ever brought. Narcissists are the worst people you can ever meet. They destroy you gradually. They are broken people. The best way is to flee from such a relationship without loking back. Narcs reduce you to nothing by working gains your self esteem. It's never enough, no mater what you try to do for them. It's a always a big relief when you break up with a narcissist..

A narcissistic person will call you a narcissist in the midst of them emotionally abusing you, leaving you so confused😭😭. They'll do the same exact mistake like you but they'll constantly magnify your mistake to cover up for their own! Or rather make their mistakes look smaller!!! They are the worst creatures alive!!!! 😔😔
