    I'm an African and I can't dare that route. There is a reason why most bikers do the Eastern African route more than the Western. This wasn't a diligent idea. But then, risk provides great content. Glad you're safe. I wish that region was much safer for more travels.

    • @gino-cz9zu

      That amount of risk is not worth it for content sad to hear ur country is at war im paying to send water to ur country for the children in need there maybr i will also give money for the civilians in the warzone there

    • @BS-kl9yf
      @BS-kl9yf 2 года назад +128

      @@gino-cz9zu thanks for your concern. I'm not from that region. I only know about it because I'm doing my PhD dissertation on travelling across Africa. It is much easier and faster to fly from Africa to Europe or Middle-East than to fly from one African country to the other. Road transport equally has challenges as he has shown. If it is not insecurity it is bureaucratic procedures and corruption at the borders. Most major rivers are not navigable for water transport and where it exists like R. Congo has risks, including frequent accidents at L.Victoria. Western African route has beautiful views, but only the Eastern route from Cairo in the North of Africa to Cape Town in the South is safer, and female bikers like "Itchy Boots", "On her Bike" and many other men have used it with ease and less complications.

      @@stephenvis no pun intended but it is ludicrous to try comprehend a PhD study on a RUclips comment. Especially when you have no post-graduate qualifications. Interrogate the details as they are because you need to be in class to learn the technicalities. The best I can do is to recommend a document called Agenda 2063 that summerizes the need for infrastructure integration in relation to the aspirations of the African continent. At least it ain't a dissertation. I understand that what I described was "everything" to you because of how much you have learnt. In real sense I only described one objective out of the four in the study. I mentioned the basics and barely scratched the surface of Regional Integration in Africa proper, which is the main specialization of this study. Also don't confuse it with the topic of the study which is not mentioned anywhere in the comment.

      Adversity, trials and tribulations are what makes human feel their inner humanity,it makes them aware of others people's grief and sufferings.
      After all it is pain and suffering that makes humans becomes humble and able to sympathize with others who suffers the same fate as them.
      But we are in the times where pain and suffering are being viewed negatively to the point that people are being shamed because of their pain and suffering, so the people hides their pain and suffering until they couldn't hold it any longer and do something unthinkable just to heal their invisible wounds.
      The illusion that we lived in the best time where pain and suffering are but a trivial matter in the face of science and technological advancement is so great that we thought ourselves like a god and think that our fate is in our hands when in facts it is we that is in the hands of fate.
      we didn't get choices in our lives,we didn't even get choices whether we wanted to be born or not and the only choices that we currently have is to live our lives to the best of our ability according to our roles that we're born into.

    I've been skydiving and stuff and am always up for extreme stuff but even this is way too far for me, I'd just be thinking about everything that could go wrong, breaking down in the wilderness, getting food poisoning, getting robbed, shot, arrested, kidnapped. There's a lot that can go wrong, and not having even basic sanitary hospitals and stuff could be life threatening.

    When I heard you say you rode all the way from Nigeria to that side of Cameroon, I saw a strong heart in you. But of course, that’s what it takes to embark on a tour adventure. I would have wished you safe journey, but for the fact that it is now over one year. Which means you must have ended your tour already.

      Cameroon, northern mozambique, eastern DR congo, Northen Nigeria, Sudan, south Sudan, Ethiopia, Mali, CAR, Somalia. If you where counting that's 10 countries out of 55 which are unsafe. So what do you mean MOST🤷🏾‍♂️
      Every country in South America has drug cartels but no one calls south america unsafe. If you're going to talk about unsafe continents talk about South america and the middle east. 10 out of 55 you guys are funny 🤣🤣

He probably made a couple grand from this vid alone. You can see estimated earnings from RUclips content online. With all the work of filming and editing put into this video, plus risking his life, do you think a few thousand dollars and internet clout is worth it? A few thousand dollars is a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things
