you see.. if you buy each and every one of these people the equivalent of what YOU eat in a day, they'll die. their bodies are conditioned for starvation because they've been living this reality for so long.
they have conditioned their lives to eat just the bare minimum amount of food need for survival, and for most of them that's how it's gonna be for the rest of their lives unfortunately.

Duckdad you right I feel the same way, but horrified that the country of Burundi is poor because the powers that shouldn’t be like America and her European sisters spend a good amount of their budget on military stuff, not for war but to keep Mother Africa poor, and millions of people die just so we can be extremely grateful for the life we have, compared to Mother Africa citizens and Black people all over the world every other ethnic group have not experienced what Black people have had and still do suffer still today, Mother Africa is blessed, she has never started a war or invaded another country, and people marvel how nice and joyful they are in the mist of dire poverty, hunger will make you steal and for America and her friends for material gain, have lied killed and destroy the the lives of African women children and babies just so the elite of the world can be billionaires while the middle man American politicians not only enjoy the stolen wealth but get up every morning to go to the office to make sure the thievery doesn’t end and it’s very easy because it’s Black people. So while I am humbly praying for the change which will happen justice will prevail I am most grateful to Mother Africa and her citizens for the sacrifice of their very lives for the lives of others, Thank You and shalom

There have been several wells drilled and functioning over recent years and that made me happy. The areas that have access to fresh water have seen immense improvements in health and happiness and brain power! The well drilling will continue until all areas of Burundi have access to fresh water, thanks to UNICEF and other organizations and individuals. This water thing is HUGE for the entire country. It’s a good start.

@longestvideoever they can't afford water, how do you think they can afford birth control??? Just tell them all to stop having babies to wipe out a whole population of people. How about the 1%wealthy help these people?? The wealthy have multiple homes all over the world and can't help a small village that costs less than what they spent last week. Stop blaming people that are just trying to have a family, to have love, laughter and joy. Not to mention it's a fundamental right, a God given right to have a family. They may not have much but they have people around them that love them. I've seen people so disgusted with their kids that they murder them. These people are not on drugs, they are not drunks, they only thing they have that's bad is their situation. Stop giving them rice and give them a way to live. All this money and resources in the world, there should be no child living like this. There should be no one going hungry or dying from starvation. Greed, just simple greed. There are poor places in the US, are you going to tell them to stop having kids as well???

    • @soso3792
      @soso3792 Месяц назад

@@Smile200-z4y I agree. However I would point out that it’s possible that this incentive to have more kids is a result of inadequate education on family planning. Culture aside, some families try to have many kids because they 1. Are worried about children dying before reaching adulthood (which is basically what happened in the Middle Ages) 2. Need someone to take care of them in old age/continue running the family business. If this were in a 1st-world country where proper education is provided to all, the second reason is clearly selfish. But in the context of Burundi, where survival is a struggle, it makes more sense (at least to them) to have more kids to combat the issue, but unfortunately they don’t or barely consider the overwhelming downsides of having too many children, some even counterproductive to their original intentions. It’s a very far-sighted decision.
Of course, it’s gonna be hard to convince them to have less kids if it’s a culture thing, plus the circumstances I mentioned. It’s a far deeper rooted issue than just having insufficient food or inadequate education.

Wavukiye muri ville, lucky you brother. So it's a privilege to be born in Bujumbura, come on brother those who made it were born in the rural areas like those little kids. And a diploma or degree in Africa means nothing if you are staying home and doing nothing. You go to school to gain knowledge, so that you can use it in your life of every day. If you don't get the job you went to school for, do you have to stay home and do nothing? These people in the video were not privileged to go to school like you but they have got more work and life experience than you. The day you start understanding that life is not what you want or what you were trained for then things will change in your favour. Your problem is those words "privileged to be born in town", just because you were born in town does not mean that you can not settle for less like those not privileged to be born in "TOWN". YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE TO GET SOMEWHERE. Today you are sitting home waiting to get employed, why don't you go to your parents land and farm while waiting, use your knowledge. Search on the Internet for work in the East Africa Community. That document it's just a piece of paper, you need work experience. You might be between 30 to 35 years and you haven't worked in your life and expect work to come your way just like that. You have never worked under pressure, to put food on the table of your family.

      PLEASE LISTEN..
It doesn't matter if you are some famous, rich movie star or one of these poor kids in Africa. The human race is born into this world with a deadly disease. Every man/woman is sick with a terminal disease. The disease is SIN. What is sin? The transgression of Gods law. Sin is any failure to conform to the moral law of God in act, attitude, or nature. We are all conceived in sin and born in sin. No matter who you are, you cannot escape the reality of your condition. What is the proof of our condition? Death. Death is the great equalizer. "for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." Genesis 3:19 The wages of sin is death. The soul that sins shall die.
What is the cure for our terminal disease? We all have one disease and there is only one solution. The solution is outside of ourselves. We need another life; a sinless life. The son of God came into the world to give his sinless, spotless life as a ransom to all that believe on his name. The son of God came into the world in the likeness of sinful flesh to live a perfect life as a substitute for all believers, bore the sin of all believers, absorbed the holy wrath of God for all believers and died. On the third day, the sinless Lord of Life abolished death and brought life and immorality to light through the gospel.
What must we do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved 🙏.

Due to the high mortality mentioned in the video, people have many kids because they know they'll lose 50% of them before the age of 5. This ''tradition'' was popular worldwide, back in the past. Another factor could also be the hopes of one of their kids becoming successful, although, in these conditions it's practically impossible to do so.

And often, (watch the LDS comments now) the families are ordered by governments, if they want 'aide", the husband must leave the home? (USA). Now, Is the "answer" to send toys to children, or to start doin what the smart people in china started decades ago, and LIMIT the AMOUNT of children allowed to each"family?" . Watching children starve is only a symptom; of the problem, isn' t it ? The whole problem of child starvation (and some trafficking?) could be in that upside down Cristian ethic, now couldn't it ? At least when sex rules in Hollywood, the children are well-taken care of. I knew that would open up a can of worms of discussion, sorry-just that we know many Christians don't believe in the birth control pill either. There's one African mother of 34 children, asking for help to support her "family," though the fathers OF her family have all left for new wives ? BIG WORLD PROBLEM.

My friend from Nigeria says, "All are rich in America... even the poor live like kings." That's what her first thoughts were when driving away from the airport upon arriving in the United States. It is all so relative. What she could do with a nice piece of clothe or two, was stunningly beautiful. Next to my mother and grandmother, she and her children were the hardest working people with the highest standards that I have ever known. She called American schools "play school", and her children did extra math, science, and reading at home everyday. Taught me a thing or two, I must say, and I deeply admired her and her family very much.

Looking at this documentary I can only shake my head, there's a monopolized company which is undoubtedly exploiting the people, and community as a whole, I'd be pissed and try to get the community to do something about it. I am from Kenya and since the free education was introduced in 2002, a lot of things have changed. 95% of people are educated to at least secondary school while 87% have electricity. the problem with every country is not the solution. The solution everyone knows in every country. Every country's issues come from the government and it trickles down. No matter what the people do, they are slaves to their government which does not want them to get out of their conditions.
There's a reason the prime minister rides through and people move and the same for the president in our country. The way we behave is that one person is better than the other because of their money. Funny is we all die in the end.

    • @lyndafaye6748

Many grumpy, because they can't find the wife to start the family WITH, too? Having allot of sex and creating humongously large families in countries providing no jobs, has always been a world concern, now , hasn't it ?It's always been heartbreaking to watch "families and children" starving.

Videos like this are why I always tell my friends who say I’m “settling” for being perfectly happy with a normal middle class life are crazy. They all want to be rich but don’t realize even middle class is rich compared to a lot of the world, they only focus on American standards of living. Gratitude is something we need more of.

Exactly, being happy is state of mind. If you think that you are always less happy than other people, then you will be unhappy. If you are grateful enough and be happy while enjoying your journey to your dream life, you will be happy.
I have a house, I have a car, I definitely don't have to worry about dying of starvation, I can enjoy the moment while keep pushing to get a better life. Truly a blissful life I have.

I’m Jamaican & this frustrates me!! Why have they gone to a country just to expose their weakness to the world? What is the point here??
This feeds into the world wide narrative that African countries are poor & struggling, a narrative we have ALL been given, most of us from birth.
Why do you think even as black people who do not live in Africa, we’re scared to go there. Most Jamaicans find it insulting to be called African. This propoganda needs to stop! What does this video solve apart from promoting this destructive ideology that Africa is a struggling, poverty stricken content!?
