To be fair, we can provide some reasoning to him getting possessed: He is the most powerful non-void-spawn character, and thus do to him also looking very strong he is often the first one to be chosen as a good possession candidate. He also owns Dreamland (or at least all the Waddle Dees in Dreamland), so if world domination is a goal, they can posses him and already own a first world country. His castle is suggested to be in the center of Dreamland, so invaders will typically arrive near the castle, and any artifacts that will lead them to him will typically be taken in by Dedede’s soldiers or himself. And to top it off, he also is the owner of the best song in the Kirby franchise (Roar of Dedede).
What about Meta knight? Even if Kirby is stronger than him. MK is stronger than the Strongest Knight that ever existed (aka Galactia Knight), and he have a f*cking battleship that was made with the original porpuse of declaring war to all Dreamland. But i don't know anymore, i came back to the kirby fandom when Kirby Star Allies was released, so i don't remember to much about the lore or power levels from this pink ball's franchise

The man, The myth, The legend well... Not really the hardest. He only has 2 attacks (both of which are easily dodgeable), and doesnt have as much health as any of the others. For me, the dedede clones were the hardest for me (especially in the True Arena), mainly because of his second phase when he splits into 3 dedede clones. They never let me get to them whenever I need to.
I'm amazed Nintendo continually tries to make Dedede out to be a villain. At this point, you only fight him if he becomes possessed (or for a competition, but that's not evil, just spiteful jealousy) and from there, he joins the party. Dedede was only evil in one game, and from there the scope grew and grew past a dopey looking penguin king. I never even saw Dedede as a threat, thanks to the anime and his demeanor there. If anything I saw him as an inconvenience or rival to Kirby that won't give up even though he has no chance of winning (not counting Revenge of the King from Super Star Ultra. That was a legit fight and I love it) but he's a great ally to Kirby at this point. A reluctant hero who needs proper motivation (most likely as a way to avoid repaying Kirby later for saving him, most likely with food) is how i see the King now. Still King Dedede is one of my favorite characters ever

Dark-D Mind is technically not Dedede, I believe it is Dark Mind reborn. He might have cloned Dedede's body. I say this because of his hat in the first fight with him is similar to the hat on his body in the first 4 phrases you fight. You might think because of the hammer, ax, and him in a Dedede possessed by Dark Matter form. When you fight him again the ball in the belly is orange like Dark Mind's true form

Ever notice how Dedede has not willingly fought Kirby since Super Star Ultra? He’s always been forced to, or they’ve been clones instead of the real deal.
I feel bad for Dedede. I mean, Some of the battles he was possessed for, and others he did out of spite. All the other battles were just misunderstandings...
Worst to Best Cursed Dedede Forms by Appearance and Moveset: 6. King D-Mind (both Normal and “True” Form): This Dark Penguin is too easy to beat if you have an OP Team of Kirbehs equipped with DX Platinum Mage Headwear and Staff B U F F E D with Damage and Health Boosters (if you want to defeat King D-Mind in 50 seconds or less that is) and his movesets are reused from Masked Dedede from Kirby Triple Deluxe and Dark Matter Dedede from Kirby Dreamland 2 to Crystal Shards, only shorter. His appearance is also lame compared to Masked Dedede from Triple Deluxe and Dedede Clone(s) from Planet Robobot as he is simply Masked Dedede from Triple Deluxe mixed with Dark Mind from Amazing Mirror. Overall, this Cursed Dedede is the least creative in my opinion as his overall appearance and moveset are recycled from past Kirby games that involves Dedede being cursed. 5. Puppetized Yarn Dedede (from Epic Yarn): His yarn counterpart had some tricks up in his sleeves, from getting his classic counterpart’s moveset from the first game to other further installments before Epic Yarn (minus the inhaling part) to clobbahing dat dere Yarn Kirbeh with his King sized bellah to not only create ground waves on the ground, but also use gordos on the ceiling as his advantage of clobbahing dat dere Yarn Kirbeh to teh curb. He also swoops Kirbeh in midair as his attempt to damage Kirbeh can also lead to his weak spot by groundpounding his back in midair and steal a button from the puppet mover that was controlling him. He is kinda easy to beat, but not as easy as King D-Mind if you have DX Platinum Mage stuff in your Kirbeh Team. His appearance is overall line-ier since the game that this Dedede appeared in Epic Yarn, which made more sense to make him look like that since most objects, backgrounds, and characters are made out of yarn strings and buttons. He is like the Dark Matter Dedede with his eyes opened and his eyes are being purple, indicating that he’s actually cursed. Overall, this Dedede is slightly more decent than King D-Mind by an inch of Yarn. 4. Dark Matter Dedede (from Dreamland 2 to Crystal Shards): This Dedede is one of the creepiest on this list as his eyes are ACTUALLY closed while fighting against dat pink puffed Kirbeh since Dark Matter takes control over Dedede’s body. His movesets are reused from the first game, only this time a ferocious man-eating mouth pops out of Dedede’s belly and uses it to devour Kirbeh while he’s levitating in the air during battle. This Dedede overall is both unique and creepy in a good way as this form represents something dark, which Dark Matter is associated with. Overall, it’s pretty decent. 3. Dedede Clone(s) and D3 (from Planet Robobot): Another creepy Dedede on this list. This Dedede is the most different out of all Dededes as this Dedede wasn’t the King himself after all, it’s just a DNA version of its real counterpart. This Dedede is your usual Dedede battle, but once you’ve CLOBBAHED DAT DERE DEDEDE CLONE, you thought it was over... until the Dedede Clones were split into to three and continuesly battling against you until they are actually out of health. But then... just as you thought the battle was over, the floor came up to the top of the building, revealing the unknown machinery that was built by the Haltmann Company for an unknown purpose until the three Dedede Clones, now known as D3, has reformed themselves back to normal and are engineering this unknown contraption to CLOBBAH DAT DERE KIRBEH, Robobot style. His movesets were completely changed as these Dedede Clones are actually using machinery to destroy Kirby, from using a big ass laser to temporary spewing lava on the floor just to burn dat dere kirbeh buttocks. The ending of the fight was also creative as the contraption explodes and the D3 were transformed into fireworks that were formed into three Ds, referencing King Dedede’s name. Overall, this is one of the best ones due to the use of creativity on how egotistic Dedede is, even in DNA form. But not as awesome as... 2. B U F F DEDEDE (from Kirby Star Allies): Cursed by the Dark Jamba Heart, this King is no fat joke. In the fight, it’s your usual Dedede fight, until his hammer broke by Kirby. After that, he was transformed into DEMON DEDEDE FROM TEH ANIME without the Demon Frog’s demonic wings on his chest. Thanks to that, he is one of the handsomest Dededes on this list. He’ll CLOBBAH DAT DERE PINK BELLY TO TEH CURB with his super buffed muscles and throw fruit at both Kirby and his friends while climbing on the pillars in his castle. After that, he groundpounds the floor and once again climbs up on the pillars and pole spin (not in a slutty way) on it and jump on it each one. Once he’s defeated, his muscles were turned into the King’s usual D-sized fatness that we all know. This Dedede is overall handsome and stunning to look at, but he’s nothing compared to... 1. Masked Dedede and Masked Dedede’s Revenge (from Kirby Triple Deluxe): The Masked King’s back, baby! But better than ever. The Masked King was a reminisce to Kirby Super Star Ultra for the DS, and oh boy it’s been long to see this Masked King in action. At first, Dedede was possessed by Taranza and transforms himself jnto Masked Dedede from Super Star Ultra, and then after that, the fight has started. The first phase is your usual Dedede fight with the Masked Dedede fight from the DS, but after you’ve defeated him, he was ressurected by Taranza to extend the battle. After the Masked King lost his hammer, he took an axe from a pillar and use it as his replacement hammer to CLOBBAH DAT DERE KIRBEH, literally (or better yet, SLICE AN’ DICE DAT DERE KIRBEH). He starts spinning with his axe mercily just to destroy Kirby once and for all, and after that, he was vunrable from spinning his axe. Once he’s back in action, he emits possessed beams and start using them to shoot KIRBEH TO TEH CURB. When he’s defeated, his whole mask was destroyed and Taranza’s hypnotizing spell in his body was broken. Overall the best Cursed Dedede battle on this list. His appearance was also the best too despite that BUFF DEDEDE is much more handsomer and stunning than Masked Dedede, he can’t beat the classic like Masked Dedede.
lets talk about how prosafia put shadow dedede, dedede clones and king d-mind when theyre not possessed shadow dedede and king d-mind are different entities, and the dedede clones are malicious clones
...real talk. I know people like to joke that bandana dee came from 64 during shiver star. I actually like to think he's the only exercist in all of dreamland, it's why after this he only gets possessed twice after 64.
Why are the Dedede clones, Shadow Dedede, and the King D mind battles here? They are not Dedede being possessed/mind Controlled. They are their own separate entity.

Dark-D Mind is technically not Dedede, I believe it is Dark Mind reborn. He might have cloned Dedede's body. I say this because of his hat in the first fight with him is similar to the hat on his body in the first 4 phrases you fight. You might think because of the hammer, ax, and him in a Dedede possessed by Dark Matter form. When you fight him again the ball in the belly is orange like Dark Mind's true form

Ever notice how Dedede has not willingly fought Kirby since Super Star Ultra? He’s always been forced to, or they’ve been clones instead of the real deal.

I feel bad for Dedede. I mean, Some of the battles he was possessed for, and others he did out of spite. All the other battles were just misunderstandings...
Worst to Best Cursed Dedede Forms by Appearance and Moveset:
6. King D-Mind (both Normal and “True” Form): This Dark Penguin is too easy to beat if you have an OP Team of Kirbehs equipped with DX Platinum Mage Headwear and Staff B U F F E D with Damage and Health Boosters (if you want to defeat King D-Mind in 50 seconds or less that is) and his movesets are reused from Masked Dedede from Kirby Triple Deluxe and Dark Matter Dedede from Kirby Dreamland 2 to Crystal Shards, only shorter. His appearance is also lame compared to Masked Dedede from Triple Deluxe and Dedede Clone(s) from Planet Robobot as he is simply Masked Dedede from Triple Deluxe mixed with Dark Mind from Amazing Mirror. Overall, this Cursed Dedede is the least creative in my opinion as his overall appearance and moveset are recycled from past Kirby games that involves Dedede being cursed.
5. Puppetized Yarn Dedede (from Epic Yarn): His yarn counterpart had some tricks up in his sleeves, from getting his classic counterpart’s moveset from the first game to other further installments before Epic Yarn (minus the inhaling part) to clobbahing dat dere Yarn Kirbeh with his King sized bellah to not only create ground waves on the ground, but also use gordos on the ceiling as his advantage of clobbahing dat dere Yarn Kirbeh to teh curb. He also swoops Kirbeh in midair as his attempt to damage Kirbeh can also lead to his weak spot by groundpounding his back in midair and steal a button from the puppet mover that was controlling him. He is kinda easy to beat, but not as easy as King D-Mind if you have DX Platinum Mage stuff in your Kirbeh Team. His appearance is overall line-ier since the game that this Dedede appeared in Epic Yarn, which made more sense to make him look like that since most objects, backgrounds, and characters are made out of yarn strings and buttons. He is like the Dark Matter Dedede with his eyes opened and his eyes are being purple, indicating that he’s actually cursed. Overall, this Dedede is slightly more decent than King D-Mind by an inch of Yarn.
4. Dark Matter Dedede (from Dreamland 2 to Crystal Shards): This Dedede is one of the creepiest on this list as his eyes are ACTUALLY closed while fighting against dat pink puffed Kirbeh since Dark Matter takes control over Dedede’s body. His movesets are reused from the first game, only this time a ferocious man-eating mouth pops out of Dedede’s belly and uses it to devour Kirbeh while he’s levitating in the air during battle. This Dedede overall is both unique and creepy in a good way as this form represents something dark, which Dark Matter is associated with. Overall, it’s pretty decent.
3. Dedede Clone(s) and D3 (from Planet Robobot): Another creepy Dedede on this list. This Dedede is the most different out of all Dededes as this Dedede wasn’t the King himself after all, it’s just a DNA version of its real counterpart. This Dedede is your usual Dedede battle, but once you’ve CLOBBAHED DAT DERE DEDEDE CLONE, you thought it was over... until the Dedede Clones were split into to three and continuesly battling against you until they are actually out of health. But then... just as you thought the battle was over, the floor came up to the top of the building, revealing the unknown machinery that was built by the Haltmann Company for an unknown purpose until the three Dedede Clones, now known as D3, has reformed themselves back to normal and are engineering this unknown contraption to CLOBBAH DAT DERE KIRBEH, Robobot style. His movesets were completely changed as these Dedede Clones are actually using machinery to destroy Kirby, from using a big ass laser to temporary spewing lava on the floor just to burn dat dere kirbeh buttocks. The ending of the fight was also creative as the contraption explodes and the D3 were transformed into fireworks that were formed into three Ds, referencing King Dedede’s name. Overall, this is one of the best ones due to the use of creativity on how egotistic Dedede is, even in DNA form. But not as awesome as...
2. B U F F DEDEDE (from Kirby Star Allies): Cursed by the Dark Jamba Heart, this King is no fat joke. In the fight, it’s your usual Dedede fight, until his hammer broke by Kirby. After that, he was transformed into DEMON DEDEDE FROM TEH ANIME without the Demon Frog’s demonic wings on his chest. Thanks to that, he is one of the handsomest Dededes on this list. He’ll CLOBBAH DAT DERE PINK BELLY TO TEH CURB with his super buffed muscles and throw fruit at both Kirby and his friends while climbing on the pillars in his castle. After that, he groundpounds the floor and once again climbs up on the pillars and pole spin (not in a slutty way) on it and jump on it each one. Once he’s defeated, his muscles were turned into the King’s usual D-sized fatness that we all know. This Dedede is overall handsome and stunning to look at, but he’s nothing compared to...
1. Masked Dedede and Masked Dedede’s Revenge (from Kirby Triple Deluxe): The Masked King’s back, baby! But better than ever. The Masked King was a reminisce to Kirby Super Star Ultra for the DS, and oh boy it’s been long to see this Masked King in action. At first, Dedede was possessed by Taranza and transforms himself jnto Masked Dedede from Super Star Ultra, and then after that, the fight has started. The first phase is your usual Dedede fight with the Masked Dedede fight from the DS, but after you’ve defeated him, he was ressurected by Taranza to extend the battle. After the Masked King lost his hammer, he took an axe from a pillar and use it as his replacement hammer to CLOBBAH DAT DERE KIRBEH, literally (or better yet, SLICE AN’ DICE DAT DERE KIRBEH). He starts spinning with his axe mercily just to destroy Kirby once and for all, and after that, he was vunrable from spinning his axe. Once he’s back in action, he emits possessed beams and start using them to shoot KIRBEH TO TEH CURB. When he’s defeated, his whole mask was destroyed and Taranza’s hypnotizing spell in his body was broken. Overall the best Cursed Dedede battle on this list. His appearance was also the best too despite that BUFF DEDEDE is much more handsomer and stunning than Masked Dedede, he can’t beat the classic like Masked Dedede.
