Just saw the recommendation of ur London system video today and binged watched all ur videos absolutely loved it.... One of my favorite chess channels from now on 😁😁
Alekhine's Defence, named after the former World Chess Champion Alexander Alekhine, is indeed known for its tactical complexity and dynamism. It begins with the moves 1. e4 Nf6, where Black tempts White to advance the e-pawn, thereby hoping to undermine and counterattack the center later. This opening is characterized by several key features: Provocation and Counterattack: Black's initial knight move is designed to provoke White into overextending pawns in the center. This can lead to sharp, tactical battles as Black aims to counterattack and exploit weaknesses in White's position. Asymmetrical Pawn Structure: Alekhine's Defence often leads to asymmetrical pawn structures, which can result in dynamic and complex middlegame positions. Flexibility: The opening allows Black to adopt various setups based on White's response, making it a flexible and adaptable choice. Risk and Reward: Due to the nature of the opening, both sides can find themselves in highly tactical situations, which require precise calculation and strategic foresight.
I refuse to watch and learn from chess videos that take up half my working hours, but with this 3-minute video, I have something else besides 1.Ke2, 2.Qh5, or Ruy López! Goodbye 700 elo!
How do you create an imposible position in lichess that you can still play, ive seen you in another video create one and it wont let me do one without two kings of opposite colour
If you want to play 6…dxc3, the two crucial engine moves to know are 8…Kf6 and 9…Ne7. Exposing the king more by moving forward in an open position and moving a knight backward are not easy moves to find. 8…Ke8 is mostly played. 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. d4 exd4 5. O-O Nxe4 6. Nc3 dxc3 7. Bxf7+ Kxf7 8. Qd5+ Kf6 9. Re1 Ne7 10. Qxe4 Kf7 11. Bg5 d5 12. Qf4+ Kg8 13. Qe5 Nc6 14. Bxd8 Nxe5 15. Rxe5 Bg4 16. Rxd5 Be6 17. Rd3
I just found your channel today ... four months after you posted your last video. I'm guessing you're done. And that's sad. For all I know, you may be dead, which would be even sadder. In any case, Don’t let it be forgot, That once there was a spot, For one brief shining moment, that was known As Camelot. Sorry, what were we talking about?
I used 6… g6 7. Qxe5 Qe7 against a Jerome Gambit and yep, White lost Perhaps 6. … Ke6 7. f4 d6 is slightly better, if a little scarier for Black. Computer seems to prefer (at a lower depth) 6. … Kf8 over 6. … g6 too
Why would I play that when I can just move my king to dominate the center.
Eat your snacks, Go!

Nah queens gambit, kings gambit, and Evans gambit way better and more sound
"It's not good. But it IS fun" perfectly summarizes the jerome gambit. Jerome gambit games should look like a man on cocaine. That's what I aspire to.

I’m upset because 1. c4 was not discussed in this video.

"Hope for the best" does not sound like a winning strategy
I think the Alekhine's Defence is a pretty tactically rigorous opening.
