The Jerome is beyond op, the opponent becomes so confused they lose all hope in their own position, allowing even the most veteran chess players to crumble under its force.
I miss that other guy with the hair...Herman I think his name is. He said he's visiting his ex-wife and their three kids. Instead we get Erick "Chessbrah" Henson, who is always trying to get me to buy gluten and soy - free meals from FedEx. Erick is a nice guy and all but he doesn't the know the difference between a marble and hockey puck. He knows what is and is not theory. I support these guys but only Herman and sometimes that Moj guy which I assume is short for Mojito but they never say.

8:20 Bg5, Kg8, Nd5 probably would've worked against a lower rated player in a hurry to castle.

Jerome Gambit unironically still works at 1400 level in rapid time control (i won a few times with it)
1:44 is it insane to try to play this position slowly? I want to play Bd2, Ne2, Bc3 and see how black reacts. If they play d5 I get e5 improved as the knight wanted to go to d5 and now can't. It's really unclear to me how black is going to get organized, I want them to commit defensive moves before declaring plans in the center.
IM is not enough to handle a Jerome properly!

If Jerome could see Aman using his Gambit against titled players the legacy will have been achieved. Not for nothin', but when The Jerome is played like in this first game it just looks like complete Jerome domination or Domination, Jerome style. Couldn't figure out which way to word that. I catch a lot of people with the Bishop opening but I want to try the legendary Jerome. There's a blog devoted to Jerome and his Gambit for crying out loud !
I waiting for Everyman to come out with a Jerome Gambit edition with a Preface by Aman.
As black I always play into the Giuoco Piano and I feel like I’m consistently in a better position in all the lines with the Bishop sac on f7. Maybe people just don’t prep that well at my elo 😂
I'd suggest the way to think about it is that most people play way below their rating when forced to defend, and vice verse. Clearly up to high rating ranges you can take an objectively worse attacking position and use this fact to adjust the practical evaluation up to even or beyond. Even moreso at lower levels... ignore the computer, attack! 😂
