  • ABOUT THIS VIDEO
    Sometimes living with chronic illness means there are gonna be days when you’re stuck sick in bed. Sometimes you get a flare up of symptoms. Sometimes you catch the flu or a cold and you’re down for the count. But lying in bed for a long time can make our muscles feel stiff and painful and restless.
    Today’s bed yoga practice helps to alleviate that tension and get the energy flowing through the body with gentle supine yoga poses.

    ABOUT ME + SLEEPY SANTOSHA
    Hi! My name is Rachel. I am the creator of Sleepy Santosha. I am a certified yoga instructor who specializes in yoga for chronic illness. Although I hold two teaching certifications, the classes I teach are largely inspired by my own firsthand experiences with chronic illness and my personal yoga practice.
    Because I know what it is like to live with chronic illness, I am able to create yoga classes that intuitively support the needs of someone who is experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, etc. and many of my classes can be practiced in bed. If the practice in this video didn't suit your needs, be sure to check out the other yoga classes on my channel. I try to provide a variety of intensity levels.

    Thank you so much. Many of the slow yoga practices online are still too tough for me when I'm having a fibro flare-up. This one is truly doable and helpful!

    Thanks beautiful for another great practice. This will be perfect for me when I have an appointment in the morning. I usually go back to bed around 7am and get up 10-11 to let my first dose of pain killers kick in, so I'm really hopeful that this practice will make getting up before then a bit easier. As always, love and light 💕🧘‍♀️💕🧘‍♀️

    Yoga for Spoonies?!

    • @zinniahondoram3778
      @zinniahondoram3778 4 года назад

      Spoonies are people with chronic illnesses, usually hidden ones or ones that don't make you look really sick all the time but doesn't mean you are not still sick. We measure our pain and energy levels in spoons like a video game with hearts, everything we do takes a spoon away and when we run out we have to recharge or it takes our bodies longer to heal and feel well again.
