I have been doing this for a few weeks now, alongside the bedtime routine. Paired with your strength training program, my functionality and quality of life are improving so much. Thanks so much 🙏 Rachel.
And to update, doing this for months now, my migraines have reduced drastically - I think the improved blood flow and mobility has prevented the build up of pressure in my head and neck!
Just found you and subscribed. Just diagnosed. Adding you to my morning routine. Sharing with my two daughters 25 and 28 who also got diagnosed. Loving gratitude 🙏💜💜💜💜
I recently got diagnosed with POTS and it's been an absolute nightmare. I have ME/CFS as well but most of these poses look totally possible for me to do, tho I'll probably start with just a 5min version to see how I handle it. thanks for uploading this!!🤗
So sorry you’ve been dealing with that Frida! I have a 5 min bed yoga class for fatigue here on RUclips that is supine. That would definitely be a good place to start! Best of luck to you! 🤗💖
@@SantoshaSpirit just wanted to say I did this whole routine for the first time today and somewhere in the middle I found that I could breathe normally. no tightness, no air hunger, no pressure. it was all just gone, just for a minute or so, but I almost started crying cause I have been suffering with chest tightness and air hunger every second since early February when I believe my POTS developed. every second is a battle but for a minute there I got relief. thank you ❤️🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much. I have been housebound for 9 weeks. I have hemiplegic migraine and POTS and after doing some pilates in August I developed Coseochondirtis. Your videos have been a literal lifesaver as I have been so worried how to cope. So Thank you Thank you so much.
I kid you not, this morning I woke up earlier than my usual, due to my daughters still ongoing alarm and just happened to hear the notification for this video. If this wasn’t exactly what I needed, ahead of what can be one of the most draining days ahead for me flying back home to visit my mom, with 2 teenage girls, and pain at 100 and stress at 1000! Mostly due to my fear of flying, anxieties and a pesky ocd brain that will have me obsessively doubting that I will forget something or not medicate enough to be even able to make it to the airport without catching a full blown panic attack! Today my heart rate will see numbers that a normal adult would pass out on and I have to try to get my mind, body and heart beat under control not too and although guided meditation and breathing helps, when pain and discomfort is heavy, everything I know goes to crap. I have been doing my own version of bedroom yoga for years since going to my first yoga class and seeing the benefits, although I always found myself modifying and/ or holding poses long after the yoga instructor moved on, even did so today. This was definitely needed especially seeing as Mother Nature decided not to grace me with that delicious morning sun that comes through my window every morning since moving down to Florida from New England. A move that has been instrumental on me having a better quality of life. Thanks so much for this, my zebra self appreciates and I can’t wait to share it with all my spoonies and friends over 30 who can definitely benefit from this!!!! Namaste 🧘🏽♀️
Thank you for sharing! I love that you’re listening to your body and staying in poses or modifying whenever it feels right to you. Your body knows best 💖 It can definitely be hard to find your center in those stressful situations. Keep practicing and it will get easier and easier with time 🤗💖
Thank you for the reminders to relax my jaw and the pep talk at the end. I'm surprised at how much the kegal did for my dizziness this morning. I've been in a really bad flare for a month and needed this.
I had covid 2-3 weeks ago and since then my pots/dysautonomia has been so much worse. couldn't stand long enough to make breakfast this morning. thank you so much for creating such helpful yoga classes!
Can you do a video on your POTS diagnosis, your symptoms, and how you manage them? I’ve been recently diagnosed with POTS a 3 months ago after having symptoms after an unknown viral illness back in May. Struggling to figure out how manage day to day and still have some resemble of a normal life.
This is so so good. I have POTS and EDS as well as a Myasthenic syndrome, so I have to be very careful when it comes to yoga. This was perfect for my body and helped relive pain and relax my body enough that I was able to relocate a rib that had dislocated during sleep. Thank you
Wow, this was amazing! My heart rate has been so much lower this morning as I’ve been doing my little morning activities. Do you have any other resources for POTS? I have ME/CFS, and have not been able to tolerate any strength training, but I’m wondering if you have other videos or tips on how to manage symptoms. This yoga sequence was so well put together, I’d love to more know about why it helped me so much so I can better incorporate that information throughout my day. Thank you so much for this video!
I’m so glad to hear it had such a profound effect! Yoga is designed to balance the nervous system. That’s why it’ can be so effective for POTS! I’ve been thinking about doing a full series to explain the way this works. But I do have a couple of other videos on my channel for POTS. One is a video for EDS + POTS that’s a little more active than this one but still mostly supine, and I have a video called 3 Yoga Poses for Dizziness that can help too. These are a bit older so you might have to scroll back a ways.
Thank you so much for this video I was recently diagnosed with IST and have been struggling with getting out of bed during the day. It’s been a hard adjustment but your videos is such a good way to start off my day both physically and mentally!
I am not diagnosed with POTS but i do have a lot of the symptoms so i will be trying this after my pilates workouts and hopefully i see some improvement. i'll update in about a month.
This seems very feasible for me now. I feel my body is constantly heavy, like I am carrying a bag of bricks. I have long covid and I think the main symptom is dysautonomia. Do you think this can help me get rid of this weakness?
Hey Rachel! Love your videos 😊 I’m trying to find the link for the 30 day supine strength training and it’s not working :/ wondering if you still have it?! Thanks!! -Jaime
It’s available for separate purchase or you can access it with a Spoonie Yoga Studio membership which you can sign up for here: spoonieyogastudio.uscreen.io
Hi, I started doing this routine every morning last year and found it so helpful. I'm pregnant (second trimester) and am wondering whether it is still safe to do this? Thanks so much.
I am not an expert so I’d encourage you to double check with your doctor. Yoga is generally safe through the second trimester but things will likely need to be modified in the third. Be extra gentle with yourself ❤️
i giggle a little every time i pull up this routine bc my cats also like to be in the bed when im doing yoga ❤
