  • If you struggle with insomnia, chronic pain or stress, this easy 10 minute bedtime yoga class is for you! It’s great to do in bed right before you go to sleep, so make sure you’re ready for bed before you begin the yoga practice. I find that doing a bit of yoga before bed helps me to fall asleep faster and then feel better when I wake up in the morning.
    I hope you enjoy it!

    ABOUT ME + SLEEPY SANTOSHA
    Hi! My name is Rachel. I am the creator of Sleepy Santosha. I am a certified yoga instructor who specializes in yoga for chronic illness. Although I hold two teaching certifications, the classes I teach are largely inspired by my own firsthand experiences with chronic illness and my personal yoga practice.
    Because I know what it is like to live with chronic illness, I am able to create yoga classes that intuitively support the needs of someone who is experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, etc. and many of my classes can be practiced in bed. If the practice in this video didn't suit your needs, be sure to check out the other yoga classes on my channel. I try to provide a variety of intensity levels.

    Thank you for a wonderfully gentle and calming practice. I have chronic fatigue and anxiety and find it difficult to fall asleep even when I'm exhausted. I've just discovered your channel and am working my way through the routines. I love yoga and have found it helpful but most routines are too dynamic for me and cause me to crash later. Yours are just so easy and relaxing and I love your soothing voice ❤💕

    This was really nice. The only struggle I had was a very large snuggly dog who wanted to be pressed up the whole length of my right side. So the right arm movements were a bit impeded. But it was calming to hear his breathing slow and speed up again as he started dreaming while I focused on my own breathing. Now if only I can get my pillows back from him I can go to sleep!

    I like that this is a bedtime class without any breathing exercises. My tachycardia HATES any type of breathwork, but especially one nostril breathing

      That’s so interesting! That’s good you know what triggers it so you can avoid it. And I’m glad you like this class 😊

      It's funny, when I do any of your other bedtime classes I just kind of sit there not knowing what to do while you're doing the breath work haha

    • @SantoshaSpirit
      @SantoshaSpirit  2 года назад

      @@abistarr2379 Haha it’s totally fine to sit and meditate with your normal breath during that time. Breathwork can be intense because of how it affects the nervous system, and it can also lower blood pressure which isn’t a good thing for some people. It’s good you’re listening to your body!

    Are there any modifications I can make for sitting cross-legged as I have a lot of hip pain?

    • @SantoshaSpirit
      @SantoshaSpirit  4 года назад +1

      You could sit with legs straight or you could sit with your legs hanging over the side of the bed or prop yourself up with a cushion/bolster to see if that helps 👍🏼
