Some quick notes, instead of adding the image texture to a cube, stretching the cube to kinda match the image, and then deleting the other faces, you could just import the image as a plane. That would make the size the same as the image so there won't be any stretching. Also when you are matching the edges to the image, instead of moving the edges of the mesh, you could move the edges in the uv editor, so your mesh will have parallel, straight edges like the building has and you will have fixed the warping issue by warping the texture around the mesh instead of the other way around 😊
I'll try that when practicing this technique. Thanks for sharing.
@@DonChups no problem, I built a whole city with this technique so i can assure you it works 😂
This is so cool, thank you for making this tutorial :)
Didn't know about that magic "Project to view" shortcut. ¡Thanks a lot for sharing!
Always cool!
You can also do that sandripper thing in photoshop using the perspective crop tool. But this is good for people who hate adobe!
Very nice man!
Great tool! Thank you!
Pretty awesome! Thanks! :)
Cool tutorial!!
Well Taught. Many Thanks.
Thanks, Brother, brilliant!!
very easy to follow along thanks
You're a funny dude. Thanks for making this video!
This is great thanks.
Just the first step is very redundant. You can just put the image texture onto a plane lol - but i still liked the workflow. Thanks for sharing.
thx:)
Shutters lol. We do have them here in Oz.
Super demo. I’m not experienced enough to do something like this, but a wondered if you had some pictures of an old demolished historic house, how long would it take to create a 3D render?
And given your experience in Blender what would you charge to do it?
Photoshop can also do what Sandripper can btw!
I don't see how this is better than making one window with SHUTTERS, applying an array and DONE.
It seems like you added a ton of steps.
I make high-rise buildings. I have to be able to make thousands of floors quickly.
We call them shutters here in the US. 😄
I call them curtains or window blankets
Except we don't actually use them as shutters here in the US. 🤭
@@spearcy True 😆
Noice. Building from a picture. Hahaha I made a similar tutorial based on an old one by Pixxo3D which was the first tutorial I watched, kinda like an homage.
Got my first hate comment from that saying that I just copied and pasted Ian's building tutorial.😅
I got problem with the cuts and it's when I move the edges of these cuts the image starts deforming and I had "Corrects UVs" deselected. How can I solve this?
Double tap G G and that will move it along the normals
Those are called shutters!
Hello, Sandripper, it's very strange application because when I move a point it moves back to the starting point like a snap !
And it won't let me see the bottom of the image.
I'm sure someone could create a program that squares out the image. And fixes all the warping.
Like PhotoShop or LightRoom? 😉
@@robertdouble559 I mean automatically. Like you select points on the image that can be squared, then the computer does the rest. In a similar vain to FSpy. To my knowledge, photoshop only has the transform tool.
Well isn't it exactly what he does with SandRipper?
hehe boi
they're called persian blinds
06:29 BSDF and not BDSF 😏 ( I thought you were referring to BDSM😏)
here is the same tutorial but quicker ruclips.net/video/v_ikG-u_6r0/видео.html&ab_channel=IanHubert
Just learning Blender and I hate Loop and Cut
It's like learning how to drive and hating the brake pedal
@@sujyot It would be so much easier and less cumbersome if they used selections (Marching Ants) like in Photoshop
Please never use this soundtrack again. It sounds like you’re typing in a rhythm.
I couldn’t pay attention to any of the video. In my head I was just imagining you modeling rhythmically and now this is my life goal.
