Thunderbolt has some of the best music in the franchise, and is also just some of my favorite music to play for everyday tasks cause it's that good. Though the jazz of thunderbolt is quite literally my life blood, but Daryl's music in both December sky and bandit flower are just perfection, each track encapsulates all the proper emotional beats of the story and Daryl as a character, they can cheerful and chipper, or sorrowful and depressing, (the beach scene in bandit flower is one of favorites and the song is honestly beautifully haunting, and I feel is an incredibly underrated song among the tracks of thunderbolt. Not afraid to admit it's always a tear jerker for me to listen to.) For anyone who hasn't heard it: ruclips.net/video/jk_Bcnyrc6M/видео.html
"Ubugoe", the ending song for the Cucuruz movie makes me tear up every single time as a 30+ year Gundam fan. Seeing the beloved White Base crew/family fly off into the sunset one last time (probably voiced/written/designed by some of the aging OG 1979 staff for the last time as well) is such a bittersweet farewell. Doesn't hurt that it's sung by the Gundam Goddess Hiroko Moriguchi (Zeta/F91).
Great video as I love so much of Gundam's music. Your picks are on point, so it's cool that you came around to 0080. At first it did seem odd, then it got catchy, then I appreciated the contrast. I think my favorite is Zeta - it's a style of music that I just never thought I'd care for, with the orchestra over cool bass lines, violins, sax, etc. It's generally upbeat too! But 0083 has some awesome 'action music' that fits with most action scenes.
Deadass, my favorite moment in Cucuruz Doan's Island was during the final battle, where Amuro shows up at the last second to save Doan. They could have played anything there, but they played "Gundam Stands its Ground" from 0079's soundtrack, of all things. I was massively hyped.
Hell yeah brother! there are so many moments in gundam were the music just hit like a truck! the whole fight between io and daryl, reborns and setsuna final fight, the battle at Torrington base during unicorn, and mikazuki's last stand are some good examples.
First. Also I totally agree, Thunderbolt, unicorn, OG Gundam, zeta, Turn A and OO's osts and many others really inspired me to create my own Gundam series through listening to their music.
No questions to ask, this is your best video ! Congrats! Fun to watch, FINALLY you got your redemption for the WITP review and I'll be re-watching it for sure, we need more content about music out there. Keep it up!
No man that's a facts Gangnam music to be hitting different basically you'll be listening music on Spotify then a Gundam music comes on and switch up music will hit you but true gundam music is good 😅😅
I literally had to click away from this video because the music was so awful. People can like jazz if they want but keep that shit out of otherwise good media.
What’s your favorite Gundam soundtrack and why?
Mobile armor from unicorn.
Gundam Wing Endless Waltz soundtrack, not my favorite, but unironically incredible and very 90s
0083, for the contrast between The Winner and Back to Paradise
Zeta’s Ost is goated in my opinion
Birth Secret from Gundam SEED. The soundtrack from that show is so good that it makes that garbage show watchable.

Daryl’s running test is still one of my favorite moments in Gundam
That scene when Amuro throws Doan's Zaku is pure gold in writing, music and visuals. It hits so hard specially after watching the original episode
You nailed Daryl’s motivations, and why he’s probably my favorite character in all of Gundam

For me, one Gundam music moment that stood out was the track Innovation from 00 and how it was used to great effect with Sergei.

This and 08th MS Team are my favorites in the entire franchise. They compliment each other so well and I feel like they're two sides of the same coin
I’m glad you made a video on this man! Music is definitely a big factor in making a series special. Fantastic job ❤️
You're getting better Cheems. Keep on improving 👍.
When I listen to thunderbolt's music I feel calm but also uncomfortable like somthing could happen
All G Gundam and Gundam wing op and closing in my in #1. For #2 All OO Gundam op and closing. #3 IBO bangers!
very great breakdown, love it
Thanks a ton!
Just gave you that 100th like.
Shining Gundam theme is outstanding but I rarely remember any of the other music.
I think that the Shining Gundam theme was really bad
@@rickydiaz03 ...But why? It was pretty good at hyping the audience up while also conveying that the scene though exciting has tragedy behind it.
@@DIEGhostfish I’m more of a ninjas in Paris type of guy
I've heard criticism of some of the music NOT around Al, like kinda generic synth for space stuff in 0080 but I've not watched it in years.

God, came for the music, and leave because of the rambling. If you are admiring the music, at least play it😅
