Thanks so much! Really appreciate the kind words. Glad you found it useful. I wish there was a simple standard that every manufacturer would follow... Have a nice day. Cheers, Dan
It will work but it can only record lower resolutions like 1080p. If you want to record 4k it might stop recording after a few seconds and give you an error message that the card is not fast enough.
Thank you very much. Finally a video that is clear and understandable for non technical people. Everything well explained! Again, thank you, you are appreciated. PS your shuttle funniness is on point!
Thanks Wayne, I do appreciate your feedback. To be honest, that homework was well overdue. I had the “slow writing speed”-error so many times, not knowing why. 😂
If it recorded fine then I think you're ok. 4k is 4k. It's just that some cameras have a higher bit rate, meaning even though it's all 4k they capture more information giving you a bit more wiggle room in post production. And for those you need th faster one. But hey, now you got both and can record even more. Have fun flying! Cheers, dan
Now if Amizon would hurry up and deliver the new DJI Mini 2 I ordered I could try out this new SanDisk 128gb micro SD card I am Soooooooo excited about this new SD Card....LoL
Thank you so much, Costa! And I agree - it really is quite important. So many times I had issues in the middle of the shot, or even my GoPro would stop recording after 10s. Now I know why 🤣
Thanks for video. Only confused, because I saw a Sandisk Extreme on Amazon and the actual micro sd card also said Plus on it. The one you show in the video, just has extreme on it. Another difference is that one was black. I haven't shopped cards in a while, and there's a whole bunch of new ones out there.
One thing I would like to point out is that whatever capacity is on the front of the card you'll never get to use whole this space. Having said that, card rated 64gb is even less attractive than you could think.
Thx, Question for you - Why are their two slots for cards? Controller and Drone/DJI AIR 3? Is it so I can download to the controller when the drone one is full? Or some other weird reason?
Im hearing that Mavic Mini does not support 128gb sd cards. Can you please tell me anything about this? Just bought my mini and havent flown it yet. I really dont wanna mess anything up
The Mavic Mini even supports up to 256GB so you should be good! Just make sure the card is the right speed so it won’t stop recording half way through a shot. Here is the official DJI site. You can see on the right column at the bottom, the cards they recommend: www.dji.com/mavic-mini/specs
@@YouRock-WeDrone Oh awesome, can you I ask you one more question 🥺 My 4k30fps videos look fine when I watch them on the laptop on the sd card. But when I try to watch the 4k60fps videos they are all black screen and only audio works. Any troubleshooting ideas? Much appreciated This is a SanDisk ImageMatePro U3 V30 A2 128gb MicroSD on my Chromebook 15a
How about going a little deeper...what happens when you have a Sandisk, U3, V30 256 etc and you still get a message SLOW WRITING SPEED?, is it due to bad formatting?..etc. Thanks, can you format it in another device where you have more control, and in that case which formatting is the right one?, if you choose 4K or 1080 (for example) the actual writing speed is the same? or changes....
Quick question.... extreme.... extreme.... “pro”, extreme.... “plus” what’s the difference between these three all the other detail on the cards is the same other than just extreme then pro then plus ? Many thanks good video 👌🏻👍🏻
That was the reason for me to do this research. And as you guessed, the words don't really matter. It's the numbers that really specify the capability of the cards. So u3 or V30 is what you want to look for. Cheers. Dan
Question about formatting - I have a low cost drone which requires a 16gb sd card. Does anyone know what the best number setting should be for the allocation units?
The name doesn't matter too much. Make sure it has "V30" because that means highest speed. Which means you can record 4k video. Hope that helps. Cheers, Dan
Now that's a good question, I might make a video about that. I have a couple docking stations and a USB-C dongle. Checkout the links below: OWC Thunderbolt Docking Station: amzn.to/3aBOBVm Anker USB-Dongle (20% off on prime day): amzn.to/3PottRh
Thank you for an easy straightforward video that is easy to understand about the Sandisk and memory cards you are The Man
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the kind words. Glad you found it useful. I wish there was a simple standard that every manufacturer would follow... Have a nice day. Cheers, Dan

Well presented! It is very important to use the most compatible SD card with your gear, so you can take full advantage of it
Samsung is really good too!
Legend. Made it so easy to understand. Thank you

Great video I now got the DJI mini 2 and from all the videos I looked at you explained and made sense on the purchase 64 vs 128. Thanks
Awesome. Glad I could help. Happy flying!!
Very informative ! Your homework in this regard is very much appreciated ! 👍👍💯
Thanks Wayne, I do appreciate your feedback. To be honest, that homework was well overdue. I had the “slow writing speed”-error so many times, not knowing why. 😂
I have done my homework on this subject with regards to the best SD Card for my DJI Mavic 2 drone and agree with you 100%. Get the Sandisk.
Totally agree!
Solid video, thanks for making this so clear and simple. Just bought my DJI Mavic Mini 2, cant wait to start shooting
Thanks so much Saad Abdullah! Glad you found it useful and thanks for watching my video!
Happy flying - would love to see what you create!

Glad you found it helpful, that's what I am here for!
So there are U3 with A1 sandisk cards out there. The A rating is for loading applications on phones I thought.

Great info bro me & my drone will be happy😁
i was using a u1 with my mini2... but, was that diminishing my 4k footage? i just ordered a u3...

Just make sure it says V2 and you should be golden :)
Great video and information thanks for sharing cheers 👍
Thank you for stopping by! As always it’s really appreciated!
I can vouch for SanDisk, I use one for like 4 years now and it's still fine.
I bought the Sandisk extreme pro 128gb but I have to wait after Xmas to test both the Mini2
Should work perfectly!
A good info mate!!💪🏼💪🏼👏🏻👏🏻
good info,,, well presented,, thank you for posting

128gb is the best 👌 I have a Samsung PR0 v6 fast speed 60mf 22$au can't beat that price
Yes fair, Samsung is also a very reputable brand, but I've always gone with SanDisk. Their cards also seem to be on sale more often 😉
Happy to see you have no haters. 0 dislikes.
Me too and thanks for pointing that out. Cheers, Dan 🤘

I'm glad! Happy to help!
can i use 128 gb on my dji spark drone
I just checked the official documentation and it seems they only recommend up to 64GB. Hope that helps! Cheers, Dan
Extreme Pro or Extreme Plus?
Yes sandisk all the way
I recorded the video some time ago, but it still holds true. SanDisk all the way indeed
So I see a Sandisk xtreme plus card that is u3 and A1 What does this mean?
Great channel.. thank you.. 🙂👍
Thank you my friend! Appreciate you stopping by!
What it means that I have U3 but also A1 at the same card?!?
What brand is the card from?
why does my mavic mini stops video recording after 10 seconds...is it the sd card?
Yes I had the problem before. Are you recording in a high frame rate and/or high Fps? Also check that your as card has V30 on it, or A2.
