My name is Kody, I am a schizophrenia patient, advocate, comedian, and now...
THATS MY FULL TIME JOB! I finally quit my job to spend all of my time making content about schizophrenia and mental illness! I am so excited to be able to do advocacy, motivational speaking and comedy as a career!
I am so lucky to be able to share my story with the world, and I just want to make sure I have time to dedicated to content creating and being able to travel and speak! I am so grateful for this channel.
I struggling with mental health, chronic pain and I’m now a stay at home mom. At first I went through a HUGE depressive episode and I shut myself inside! Being a stay at home mom is a full time job but there’s no structure so I had to create my own structure. It took me awhile before I realized the biggest issue was not having a strict schedule even without a conventional job!!! I’m so happy for you just wanted to share my story and hopefully you find that balance!! You are amazing and I’m so exited to see what the future holds for you!
Ps.. your boss and coworkers are freaking amazing!!!!!
My son is schizophrenic and struggling to find a med combo that works yet doesn't zone him out.
So sorry to hear that! It is definitely a long process. Took me almost 6 years to find the right meds for me!
It took me 11 years to find the right medication and the right dose. I ended up with dystonia and now I have to take Cogentin now as well as the medication or my neck and right arm gets stiff and wants to stay in the same position all the time.

I love your content, I hope you'll keep growing on all the platforms! I have been sacked from so many jobs due to my schiz dx and/or addiction I can't even keep track of them all (I have kicked the addiction now). Good to see someone being able to succeed with an "alternative" career such as yours. I'm currently back in school, getting ready for university and am nervous about that, but I'm sure I'll make it this time :)
I have a sort of request - I know you have merch, and I would love to own a shirt that says "I split from reality and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" and if you could make that a reality I would be forever in your debt! I know I could just make it myself, but I don't wanna.

So proud of you Kody. Love watching your posts. So important for people to know that people with schizophrenia are capable of doing so many things. Their lives matter. My son was treated like a criminal for his illness, charged with felony littering for driving his truck into a pond, and ended up committing suicide in prison with a chainsaw. Had he received the mental health treatment he needed instead of being jailed he would still be here today being a loving dad to his two sons. Kody keep up your advocacy. So happy that you can now focus full time on it. You are amazing!

How can you work and still get the treatment? I couldn't afford it. The jobs here suck and the pay is very small for what little jobs there are. I'm trying to make my own game and hopefully make some money off it.
