    I have fine curly hair and have spent a fortune trying loads of ranges. Love love all products in this range, my favorite combo is the defining cream and the mousse together, I've stuck with this more than any other over the last three years. Big up Dippity Do..fabulous.

    This is so helpful. I love seeing four different styling methods back to back. I really love volume, so I am going to try #4 on my next wash day. Thanks!

    hi Gena, that's a lot of info and a lot of work for you! I appreciate all of this. My favorite look is #1 and #4. The forth one looks really 'big', but the first one has the most beautiful spirals. I have a denman brush, but have not gotten my nerve up to try it. I always get stressed when I do my hair, because my hair does not have a lot of curl and is too fine. One of these days I'll try the denman! Thanks again.

      Doesn't work for my fine hair either! Neither does finger coiling. I just rake the product in so everywhere is covered and scrunch x

    You have gorgeous hair. Of all your hair videos your hair looks theeeee absolute best (in my opinion) with this one styling product. It’s voluminous and defined but not too defined. It almost looks like you just woke up and your hair was perfect and natural. 😍

    I used to use Dippity donin the 70s, so obviously not young anymore. However, my hair is straight and fine. We used to use magnetic rollers and let it air dry or sleep in those horrible things. I wonder if there’s a method to use it with hot rollers, which I use now??

    For myself, I would like #1 & #3, but there all awesome, thank you for caring & sharing...
    EDITING as I had a question. As when I use the Denman brush I go upwards & outwards, can you please try this & let me know what you think please? I love your videos & I have also watched this channel with Stephanie & hubby Dennis Mero & I have also learned a lot as well. Caring & sharing their channel with videos as this is where I learned to use the denman brush plus so much more. I'm proud as I followed them since their beginning too & they are both beauticians in Florida & they have just released their 1st book on ~"Cracking The Curl Code"~ & I ordered, (Very good price & options & you can get it on Kindle & it comes out Tomorrow, if interested.) plus she makes very educational videos as well & they live in Florida. I know you will also appreciate as well as I do... Love your channel... Great video, thank you, hugs & C ya...

    Good morning Gena Marie!!
    Does your hair feels like a straw as you applied this gel?
    My hair feel like is dragging as I apply it to my hair. No slip to it.

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  3 года назад

      That happens sometimes so I always use a curl cream under it

      SAME. I literally love the hold it gave me, like, my hair survived the gym for the first time in my life, but it is sooo stiff!! Did you find a solution? I apply Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Yogurt leave-in and whipped cream before the gel. Thanks!

    Great video. Every time I used this gel my hair is dry. I guess it’s been cold lately. Do you pair with leave in or curl defining cream? Hope you review curl defining cream

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  5 лет назад

      I noticed that too recently! My hair dries out on Day 2-3. I do pair it with a leave in or styling cream when that happens. I wanted to use a cream first in this video but didn't want to throw off the results.

    Thank you! Recent subscriber😊 I was wondering if you've ever tried the diffusing technique of 'save the ends to the end'? Where you concentrate the diffuser on the roots 1st and finish with the ends of your hair? I've seen many who get better frizz free results and less heat damage to tender ends of hair. Was wondering if you'd be willing to show the difference in results by your method verses that one? My hair is very similar to yours in curl pattern though I have coarser hair throughout mixed with fine and whatever my grey hair is (which I'd a texture all its own🤔). I liked the first one the best but found all the styles useful. I just got this gel so it helped me with deciding what to do with it first... thank you. Smiles and blessings...

    • @vlj8247
      @vlj8247 5 лет назад +1

      I tried that method by mel! Didnt work at all for my fine, thin hair. I need to diffuse to curl the hair. I do switch between ends and roots while drying. I will also hover the drier over my whole hair when its 99%dry just to finish it off.

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks for the suggestion, and for subscribing!
      I’ve tried this as well and my ends still tend to dry too fast even with focusing the diffuser on roots. It’s a struggle lol!

      @hisimagenme 5 лет назад

      @@GenaMarie
      Yes, it is a struggle. I really wish there was a way to keep my ends away from my roots...lol.. no matter how I position myself one section of those babies seem to run up to that diffuser. Lol. Which is why I asked you to show how you'd do it, as my length is very close to yours and curl pattern. Every one else I've seen apply that method is a couple curl steps up from mine and twice as long and thick. I suppose length might make all the difference for ends to fall 'out of range' of the diffuser and stay further away. I fo notice if I air dry my frizz is considerably less, so I do think the diffuser even on low or cool somehow causes the frizz. Thanks so much for responding to me!! I'm trying to catch up on your videos. Look forward to thre next one... Smiles and blessings...

      @@vlj8247
      Lol... yes...Mel, while a kick to watch and beautiful hair doesn't have to manipulate curls to get outta bed, if you know what I mean! The diffuser does help with the right product. I have tried to think of a way to create the perfect scrunch cap, like a satin sock type thing that allows for pulling up to scrunch but doesn't allow for the diffuser to blow those sweet little ends apart. I'm convinced that's what does it... since my air dried hair is frizz free... but alas there's always those lazy ringlets that insist on letting gravity have the upper hand. Thanks for your response... Smiles and blessings...

    I like how this gel leaves my curls when it first dries. I also like how it keeps frizz hair out of hair for days. However, it makes my hair feels like it has a lot of build up and feels rough and dry. I really like to like it... tips?

    I think I like the 1st one and the last one! Did you say before that you got that gel from TJ Maxx? I think I’m going to try the last one with my Mielle Pomegranate Curl Custard since that’s all I have. Should I use the Leave-in also?

    • @GenaMarie
      @GenaMarie  5 лет назад

      Yes from TJMaxx, Marshall’s, or Amazon. I have the amazon link in the videos description. I would use a leave in first if you have dry hair

    This gell doesn't work for me , it's rough to apply i jave thick corse hair, and twisting is hard, then gives me frizziest ends.
